As you can see from the article, this creature is probably related to trilobytes, as are modern day crustaceans like crabs. It may have remained fairly unchanged for about 180 million years - making it one of the oldest known "fossil animals". Of course, the trilobytes died out about 350 million years ago, meaning that a considerable ammount of evolution (350 - 180 = 170 million years) seperates this fossil animal from trilobytes, hence the large scale differences in appearance. Wow. You really see only what you want to see. There is not much difference in appearance. They look the same as those fossils. And if they died out so long ago, why didn't their descendants evolve much over 350 million or billion or trillion years??? All those years an hardly a change at all, if any. In the first paragraph you say it's 'fairly unchanged' and in the next you say 'hense the large scale differences in appearances'. You're funny SA. Very intriguing. You want to confuse your opponents so they'll mess up their shot? You wanna make them think that you're a really, really, really old dart player? Okay, I give up. I just start telling them that Jesus loves them and will forgive them and they forget trying to intimidate me and they just leave! I don't get it! I usually beat em and let em wonder what hit em. The 'pygidia' aspect comes from the 'take no prisoner' attitude I have at times... wanna meet me in a yahoo game room? I'll prove it to ya, and I won't even say a word....
