It kills human cells too, which may explain how tissue is destroyed in chronic inflammation. Enjoy.

I just assumed I didn't know because maybe I missed that class in highschool science and was too lazy to look it up later.
Guest yod
I always thought bleach killed germs because it was chemically poisonous to them? Who needs to know more than that? ickk

"It's not just something we use on our countertops." Actually - this is very useful information! Take it from someone who is suffering joint damage on account of chronic inflammation. Guest man
Perhaps now they will be able to create products that are equally effective as bleach without the chlorine. Bleach is actually something good to keep around the house. Although you would probably never ever use it for this purpose, bleach can be used to purify drinking water. 4 drops will purify 2 litres of water. 8 drops will purify a gal. 1/2 a tsp. will purify 5 gal. There are approx. 120 drops of water in a teaspoon. Add the bleach to the water, mix thoroughly, let stand for 30 min. The water should have a slight bleach odor, it doesn't, add same amount of bleach and let stand for 15 min. Note: If the water is cloudy to begin with, double the amount of bleach. It would also be a good idea to have an eyedropper handy. Just some useless information that might be useful someday.

I prefer Hydrogen Peroxide. Honestly, it's burn free and does a wonderful job, however it doesn't taste very good. You mix half and half with warm water. Sadly it is somewhat difficult to gargle with.
