His Mercies are New Every Morning

The verses from Lamentations 3 vs 22 & 23 have been something I have held on to for a number of months now.

As I have come to realize more and more, there things that we are all dealing with in our lives, some spoken and many unspoken. For me, the last three years brought a sudden change in my life, as I became a caretaker for my elderly parents, and in particular my dad. During this time, we saw him in and out of hospital as well as nursing homes and then finally saw him move on to hospice.  The last year in general was really hard as we saw him become bedridden and no longer able to walk. Almost three weeks ago now, my dad completed his journey here on earth. 

As he needed more help, I could feel my energy draining, and this was the verse that I clung too. I was so grateful that His mercies are new every morning. 

I trust that with what you are going through, that you will also be encouraged and find strength in the reminder that you can draw strength from Him too.

This reminds me of the first Corinthians 13 passage - Where it says that love does not hold to account a wrong suffered!

Hi Annette,

How great is our God to give you that good scripture of Himself through that very trying time. Thank you for sharing and being that example to all of us to keep looking to the Lord and trusting Him through our trials and difficulties.
