  1. I say just leave them alone personally. Talk about it at church if you want to, but Im assuming you go to a public school where almost everything is supposed to be put in a positive manner, so at public school, christianity is good! homosexuality is good! diversity is good! war is good! no war is good! heterosexuality is good! Islam is good! are all examples of allowed stances at a public school, but you cant go any deeper than those statements without getting in trouble. Deal with it, I say, keeps the country running like a well oiled machine if everyone is happy. Talk with the homosexuals after school if you think its that important, dont just display that you think they are wrong, reach out to them. As for their supporters, well, they are straight anyway, so they dont need any convincing. Im really tired, so i apologize if my post makes no sense
  2. They didnt know it was the real truth, they were brainwashed by this guy that he was the real truth. He started out preaching the bible but little by little made comments or taught things that were different, slowly but surely they would believe anything he said, he "had them under his spell". They didn't choose not to believe the truth, because they were told it wasnt the truth, and they believed anything that man said because he evilly took them and took their minds under control.
  3. Alright, first of all, Im not Christian, but I won't discuss my beliefs in this thread. Lets just pretend I am Christian for a minute or two. Alright, so people are imperfect we know that. Alright, Satan has the goal of trying to get us to move away from god. Okay. Everyone agree so far? good. Now lets go further, an evil man, working for the devil, lets say he sold his soul or something, not literal, but he works for satan, is going around pretending to be good and preaching gods word. Slowly and gradually he manipulates the people that follow him. They are being brainwashed, since its a gradual process they dont notice the differences before they are brainwashed by him. So when they die, do they get punished for being taken advantage of? If so, is this right? Or should the one who actually manipulated them into thinking he was of god get the punishment?
  4. Personally, I dont mind the pledge at all, it doesnt bother me. I do mind however, when you say we should tell the other 14% to sit down and be quiet. Have some respect for peoples beliefs, for gosh sake.
  5. Is the Roman Catholic Church a Christian Church? They believe that Jesus is the one true son of God, brought to the Earth to save us from sin, they preach the Bible, so I do not understand why everyone says they are not Christian. Every denomination teaches slightly differently, but what makes the Catholic Church different from the rest? If they are teaching the Bible, and supporting what you all say, then I dont see the problem. Would anyone enlighten me?
  6. Let me start off as well by saying I am not Christian, but that is not the topic of this post. Okay, just reply here if you started off as a religion besides Christianity, and if so, how did you become a Christian? I am very interested in hearing your stories! So feel free to post here if you have one of the particular stories, and if you dont have one, just reply to others stories.
  7. Oh get off it, for every negative headline you post here there are a hundred positive ones. Really now, think of things as a whole, and dont just look at the little pieces that people display for you.
  8. Wicca is the belief, Witchcraft is the practice.
  9. I personally would say that you should be friends with whoever you want to be friends with. If you are of weak convictions or beliefs and are afraid of being swayed, then maybe dont get too close, but if you are firm in your beliefs, then I dont think you should push anyone away just for being different. Who knows, perhaps they will become Christians from knowing you. As to dating, its all on how comfortable you are dating a non Christian. If you are fine with it, try it out, and maybe if the relationship gets serious, introduce them to Jesus and his love. If you arent comfortable with it, however, then I guess dont worry about it.
