  1. I would be very delighted! Indeed! I love my Lord Jesus and long to be with Him. I keep expecting to hear the trumpets and Jesus call my name to come up. Jesus is everything to me, My Lord, My Savior, My God, My Father, My Friend, My All. I have all I need in Jesus. Come sweet Jesus Come. - Shield
  2. I too have experienced this lately. Sometimes I feel like a big knob on a radio that people just turn off when I mention Jesus. But, like Believer said, I'll just try to speak Jesus through my actions and morality. When my Christian friends ask me to a movie or to watch a TV program that is immoral, I kindly tell them that it isn't for me, that I don't think Jesus would approve of me doing this. It makes them think about what they are about to do. This reaction also reminds me of Luke 21:17, "and you will be hated by all because of My name." Sometimes when these people turn me off about Jesus, I just walk away and cry for them. They don't even have any idea what they are throwing away and it hurts. And it hurts me because Jesus is being rejected and I love Him so much. I want so much to tell people about Jesus and the love He has for all mankind. How much better and happier their lives would be if they trusted in Jesus instead of Satan. Asecretchord, you are a precious child of God, keep your chin up and just keep trying. Luke 21:15, "for I will give you utterance and wisdom which none of your opponents will be able to resist or refute." Your sister in Christ - ShieldFaith
  3. Blien, Thank you so very much for sharing such a strong and true message. I have never seen Paul Washer speak and at least in this message God is using Paul's gifts to the fullest!
  4. I'm sure Noah felt great sadness for all the people who refused to be obedient to the Lord. I know also, that the Lord would comfort Noah. Remember, it took years to build the ark, it is not as if they all had to make a quick decision. I think this aspect is often overlooked. Hunterpoet, Thank you for your reply. (This is my first topic so please excuse my clumsiness) I know that it took many years to build the ark, just like it takes us many years to grow in Jesus Christ. I guess I was comparing Noah's loss to our losses now days. Many people now have lost all family, friends and acquaintances, but we have gained much more in Christ. It's still sad that Noah had not one brother or sister that came to know God.
  5. I was reading Genesis chapter 5 and toward the end it is talking about Noah's family. His father Lamech became father to other sons and daughters. (verse 30). Now Noah was six hundred years old when he entered the ark with his sons and his wife and his sons' wives. I was thinking about Noah's 'other' brothers and sisters...were they still alive? If so, Noah must have felt much sadness and sorrow when they wouldn't come into the ark with him and his family. He lost all his brothers and sisters in the flood. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
  6. Oak, That was such an inspirational poem! I really liked it. Great job
  7. AngelInDisguise, Thank you for all your work putting together this post. I enjoyed it and truely believe that we are in the end times. Jesus warned us in many scriptures, Matthew chapter 24 or one. Jesus wanted and wants us to be alert and ready for His coming. Jesus even gave a parable of the ten virgins in Matthew chapter 25:1-13, how not to be foolish, but prudent. God bless you precious child of God. Good job!
  8. Oak, when I was reading your post the word "Doubt" jumped out at me. Then I looked at God's Word and found James chaper 1. There is so much in James that I ask that you pray and read it, concentrating on verse 5 and 6 especially. When we doubt we are allowing satan to take a foot hold on our faith. Ask God for wisdom so we can see life from God's point of view. Pray, pray and pray some more. God hears all our prayers, hold your head up as you are a precious child of God. Know that the Almighty God of the universe is on your side, fighting the battles that we can't even imagine fighting. God bless you.
