I wouldn't doubt one bit of it either. His affair with another woman suggests that he is ready to move on with his life, even if he has to kill his wife to do it.

I just heard on the radio that Mike Schiavo is in a relationship with a woman other than his wife. If this is true than it only confirms what I had suspected. Since legaly he is unable to divorce an invalid, he has opted for the next best thing, her death. He may be masking it as a "mercy killing" but the motive is still the same. I still have trouble with the majorities reaction to the governments intervention. I have to wonder if any of these trials regarding Terri Schiavo have been by jury or the decissions of self-righteous Judges. Somehow I find it hard to think that a majority of any people would/could agree to permit a death under the given circumstances. Cut the husband loose and let her parents assume responsibility for her care. Whats so hard about that? I understand that by Gods law he is bound to her till either of their deaths, but it doesn't seem like Mike is worried about that is he is having an extramarital affair. I pray that God will lift up Terri Schiavo and heal her. I pray he will make her whole so all the world will have to take notice. May those who have forsaken your power, glory and mercy come to repent for their lack of faith in you Lord.

Welcome to Worthy Baby_Blair. I hope you find it as enjoyable here as I have.

There will be others who will try to answer your questions. I personally have not been a follower of Jesus very long. I have not read much of the Bible but I am still learning. I can tell you why I believe. One night I looked at what had become of my life. I was in a self destructive cycle with so little love for myself that I had none to spare. I took a chance on God and asked "whoever was listening" for help. I asked to be saved from myself because I could see that I had become my own worst enemy. The next day I noticed differences in myself. I no longer "wanted" a cigarette. I no longer thought beer would make me happy. I began to notice the negative effects of cafine. All of these I gave up without any cravings or withdrawls except one. I experienced almost a week of persistent headaches after giving up sodas and coffee. But I go to sleep faster and I have less trouble waking up and getting going in the mornings. I know that this was not of my own doing. I asked for help and I got it. If there is no God then try to tell me how it is I gave up cigarettes without any cravings. Only when you ask for and receive your proof will you ever be conviced. If you don't want to hear what you have already labeled as imagination, you will never hear what we are saying or see what we see. To know the truth you must be prepared to surrender to it.

I will give you the best answers I can.

I goes without saying that I would die to meet my lord and savior. To meet any of his apostles would most certainly be a treat. But if I had to pick among non-biblical people that I would chose the following people. Meg Ryan. John Travolta and his wife Kelly Preston. Christian Slater I can't think of any others at the moment. I would however like to be stuck in a room with Benny Hinn and to look into his eyes. For him to look into mine and try to lie to me.

I just posted this on "have your say" at the BBC web site. In a nutshell it sums up how I feel about it. My last statement may have been a bit direct. I do not meen to imply this is what Mike Schaivo is feeling but to offer it as a possibilty. He has spent the last 7 years trying to have her feeding tube removed. Is it an act of mercy? or the key to freedom?

We are not condemning Benny Hinn. We are however stressing to our fellow brothers ans sisters in Christ, that his teachings are contrary to the Bible. We should be ready to warn others of these false teachings and those who perpatrate them. We cannot sit idley by and let these false prophets lie about and in the name of our Lord and saviour. If not for the sake of the false prophet, do it for those being deceived. They all risk loosing their salvation to have their ears tickled. God have mercy on us all.

Lets hope that the new bill on frivilous law suits helps. Law suits like the one where the lady sues for tripping over her own child is just rediculous. Both she and her lawyer should pay heavy fines for wasting the time of the jury, judge and the plaintifs. Most of those law suits sound pretty petty in the way they are presented. It would be interesting to see the transcripts and court records on these particular cases just to have all the information the juries had. If these judgements were made by a lone judge then our legal system surely is failing. They need to introduce heavy penalties for law suits deemed as a waste of the courts time and increase the number of trials whose verdict is made by jury rather than self righteous judges. Just look at what is going on in California. A lone judge thought the previous verdict of yet another judge was incorrect. These type of judgements are beyond a mere judge, prehaps even a jury, but things as they are, a jury sounds more just than any ex-lawyer.

Thank you SD for that scripture note. With this scripture and Gods help I hope I may yet defeat these lusts of the flesh. As for the denomination issue I agree with most of my brothers and sisters here at WB. "The chuch" is not a building nor does it apply to any following that perceives itself to be what it is not. Denominationalism is a disgrace to Christianity and most likely a greivance for he whom we claim to follow. Look at the Irish warring with their brothers in Christ. I have even seen someone post in this forum claiming the Pope to be Christ. The most sensable image of current Christianity to me is a hall of mirrors. The majority walking around with their hands in their pockets.......'bump'......'bump'.......'cursing'........'bump again'. The one most likely find their way out of the maze are first, patient, persistant, and probably better off closing or not trusting their own eyes. Psalms 95:7 For he is our God. We are the people of his pasture, And the sheep in his care. Today, oh that you would hear his voice!

I would recommend the movies "The Gospel of John" and "Luther". I now own both of these and watch both about every other week. Only one other that I can think of at the moment which is the movie "Joshua". You should be able to find all of them to rent at Blockbuster. Joshua should be in the family section.

Greetings Pookie40! Welcome to Worthy Boards! I hope you are enjoying yourself so far. If fellowship is what you seek then you have come to the right place. You will find most of us here at Worthy pretty easy going and loving. Some of us have our moments, but together we work together to build each other up and to prepare ourselves and others for that glorious day when Our Lord and Christ returns to gather his flock. May his grace and love be with you in Jesus name. Your brother in Christ Joly

I am personaly still into my KJV but I am looking forward to getting the NASV. I am still quite weary of the NIV due in part to some things I've read but also I have found that when I hear my NIV Bible on CD it feals like I am sitting in a cardboard house in the rain. Just my 2 cents.

Thank you SJ. I am in total agreement with you. Too many people out there painting "the Passion" as anti-semitic and a conspiracy to turn people against the Jews. I don't blame the Jewish for Jesus' death anymore than I could blame David for Goliaths murder. John 10:17

I started this thread so we might each share links to web sites we found fun and interesting. I started my web search this morning trying to find pictures of inspiration and wound up finding this web site. The link is directly to the page that has their desktop wallpapers. I am loving the one I used. I hope you guys find one you like as well or can show us better. http://www.fci.crossnet.se/wallpapers.html

That was wonderful. I love stories like these. They help to reinforce the truth of our existence. If only we could go back to how we were as a child. I miss my own innocence dearly. I wish I could forget all the evil I have seen and done and think and feel as I did in my childhood. I am very excited about the new kingdom. To be free of the knowledge we were never meant to have. Revelation 21:5 He who sits on the throne said,

I have yet to read everything in the bible about Jesus' crucifiction. I have seen Mel Gibsons "The Passion of The Christ". There was much violence, suffering and blood. My father and I watched it together and we wept sorely over the scenes. I personally have my scepticism about how much of "the scourging" is accurate. The cat-o-nine-tails is documented as the primary instrument of his scourging but "The Passion" shows an instrument that one could scarcely imagine. It is difficult for me to imagine our Lord and Savior having to enure such pain. Never had I imagined his "punishment" to have been so brutal. I still find it hard to beleive that such a weapon/device existed before the creating of this movie. Perhaps someone would be so kind as to share a link or two if this weapon indead was used in ancient times. I would have to say that everyone should see this movie at least once. Just be sure you are prepared. Indeed the amount of suffering this depiction shows is a shock to what many of us have believe yet even if he had suffered half as much it would not diminish the value of his sacrifice, by any means.

www.thepassionconspiracy.com Yet another person trying to turn something based in truth into something negative. The worst part is they are advertising this on television. Or is it just someone else trying to make money by casting doubt?

Just so we are on the same page. I have no hatred for Benny Hinn. He is definitely not alone in twisting the word for profit, monetary or otherways. I do get angry about the sin and can at times direct my anger at the individuals rather than Satan. Satan lies to them and tells them its O.K. and that their salvation is secure. We can only imagine what lies he is using to cause these leaders of the Church astray. Since I was saved I have been listening to Christian radio. I particularly like to listen to the Sermons during lunch hour, or at least I did. I started noticing a trend focusing on stewardship that has been unsettling. The paster I am speaking of is Dr. Tony Evans. Listening to him I start to picture him as John Tettle in the days of Martin Luther. Every day preaching about how we are stealing from God if we don't Tithe. Check this link and look at both Feb and March programs. Tony Evans.com I am beginning to understand how those in Television and Radio ministries focus mainly on this topic. Their ministry becomes so involved and self centered that the Gospel becomes an illusion. Gods work is no longer the focus but a side effect. In a way this also applies to many of our lives. Unless our focuss is Jesus and our path following him then we are lost and starving. We go long periods without hearing his voice that we panic and begin following the nearest sheep. Lets keep our heads up, our eyes sharp, and our ears focussed on him. And when we spot that wolf in our fold, let us not be afraid to call for help, or to make the rest of the sheep aware of that wolf. Our shepherd is a good shepherd and he loves his sheep. John 10:11

On a personal note. I have not nor do I need to hear him speak to see he is not worth following. I mentioned it in another thread but I will say it again here. Huge gold rings, rolexes, tylor made suits and riding around in limos is far from being a deciple of God. I have seen it before in Jimmy Swagart. I do not deny that even men like this can and do bring people to Christ. But the throngs of people they caused to turn away surely outnumber those that have been saved.

I have but one question. Why would one whose relationship with God is so close that God works miracles through him, yet so fearful for his life that he must have body guards? Where is the fearless faith of a true desciple? I will not say that I am any better, and yet I am not professing that God chooses to heal through me either. Even so God has allowed this apostacy for a purpose. May God have mercy on those who would seek to steal his glory. Yet, let us not cease to seek truth and in so doing may in the discovering of Gods' purpose lead us to find greater purpose in ourselves.

I hear you lifeandliberty. I should tell you that many most likely choose not to hear you because you seek to be heard. That approach leaves no room for imagination and rarely makes anyone curious. I have lately and may yet test my theory. My thinking was to form as a group in a public place for bible study. There would be no preaching, only fellowship. The idea is to create an atmosphere of invitation not promotion. There should be little to no singing and as I said no raised voices. People will be less likely to approach if those they wish to approach are the center of attention. Do a survey, no preaching, just simple questions about what non-Christians think of Christians. Are they stuffy, self righteous, goody-goodies? Do they seem more concerned with their own salvation than yours? Do they say one thing and do another? Try to understand what has kept so many away from Jesus. If only we can help these sleeping sheep to open their eyes and open their heart to Jesus. To say with conviction, "Lord, I surrender to your grace, please come into my heart and life and save me from myself, for you are the one and only God". Knowing that it is in HIS hands, we need only get them to open the door. Try and put yourselves in their shoes. Many of us have been their before. I just seems to me that , the times, being what they are, are a breeding ground for fear and scepticism. Imagine a dog the is whipped every time goes to his dinner bowl. At some point the dog will either become vicious or starve to death out of fear of the next beating. As children many of us where whipped into conformity as children and whether or not we wish to admit it we still want to be accepted. Righteousness is worthy and admirable and will keep many of us going in the end. But, it is this fearlessness and lack of caution by many that will cause those you seek audience with to feel hunted and we all know how a cornered creature reacts. Let me know what you think. Any ideas, comments or constructive criticism is welcome. I hope together we might help to find a more effective aproach to ministry when, after all, salvation is very very good news. Your brother in Jesus Joly
