  1. Seriously? The Passion was the most violent movie I've ever seen, and coincidentally the most profitable(adjusted for inflation) Passion Movie ever made. Out of like 5! Adjusted for inflation, it won by a long shot. Christians, could you explain this fact? The most violent movie? Not by a long shot, or even a short shot, or for that matter a shot in the dark. Secondly, if you read the accounts of the passion in the prophecies of David, you will find out that what Mel Gibson portrayed in the movie is nowhere near as brutal as what was actually done to Jesus.
  2. I pray that God will not require his death at the hands of infidels.
  3. It is pretty good, sensible stuff. Totally true.
  4. I've lost my mind For Christs Much better than the old lament: Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.
  5. Cool question. I used to see God through my circumstances until I came to understand that He crafts my circumstances with the utmost care and painstaking detail. Prayer is effective in the light of understanding. All circumstance has a purpose of God in it.
  6. Sin abounds. I thought about having a camera phone, but they are used by too many people to take sneaky shameful photos. Being a man, I felt that having a camera phone is akin to putting a sign of shame around my neck simple by owning the device because of the stigma attached. So, I have a very good quality digital Kodac, quite large, utterly obvious. When I have it on the strap around my neck, everybody knows I'm out taking pictures, and when I aim it, everybody around can see what I am aiming at. No problem. Nobody gets uncomfortable or offended. And the quality of the pictures far exceeds anything currently available in the phone department.
  7. Hi Candi770, I think you are probably right, since He began his earthly life in the lowest of circumstances, born in a stable, on a dirt floor, surrounded by animals. As a grown man He went to the lowest places of society, and to the people who even today are thought of as disposable, or written off as worthless. No one is too far gone, or too low, or too dirty, or too sinful that Christ will not receive him/her. The first man to be spared because of Jesus was a murderer, and the second was a thief hanging on a cross beside him.
  8. God took Himself out of the schools coz those of us who believe ain't socializin with Him enough, and therefore ain't obeyin Him enough, and therefore our peace and prosperity and power comes under judgement. All of our great privileges face withdrawal unless revival comes out of the obedience of those who believe, which must happen before it can occur among the larger population of unbelievers. Just my humble opinion. End of rant.
  9. There is no power but of God. Hitler was raised up in judgement. Every ruler is put in his place by God. Every war is started and directed by God. The way is always the same. Repent and serve God, or face judgement. Every nation that forgets God will be turned into hell on earth.
  10. I really like coke over seven ice cubes in a twenty ounce mug. Yum. But I drink it only rarely because it is horribly bad for the human body. Coke syrup is the best engine cleaner on earth. Far better than all them other toxic chemicals. It strips grease off steel right now. Two ounces of coke in your windshield washer fluid degreases your windshield. Hahahahahahaha. Great stuff. I used to prefer RC cola, but around here we don't see it anymore.
  11. These people are Satan's meat puppets. They speak his language and do his bidding. Thank God for wisdom and open eyes, to recognize what this junk is.
  12. I hope this guy likes it hot.
  13. I will pray for you Kit_kat, that you should have comfort in your time of sorrow. That you should stand in the shadow of the Almighty and find peace in Him.
  14. Hello Kittylover, a word of encouragement, if God is willing to make it so. I love God with all my heart. He draws upon me, a constant pulling upon my heart towards Him. And I know that the kingdom of God is not of word, but of power. Power to be heard. Power to accomplish what is set before me to be done. I have heard the voices of men with power. The sound of their voices stills the tongues of others, who turn to listen. They are compelled, but do not understand why. It is the power of one who spends much time in prayer, serious prayer, and fellowship with God. It is such as this who turn the lost to God. The preparation of the heart in man, and the reply of the tongue is of the Lord. The Lord says in 2 Chron, that if "they who are called by my name will turn from their wicked ways............." They who are called by the name of God described as wicked. He says in another place that "The Lord overthrows the words of the wicked." I know this painfully and truthfully because if I am not in fellowhsip and prayer nobody listens to me. It's really amazing to see the difference between being in regular prayer, and not, or being in a sinful condition, in the way people respond to me. The flesh is at enmity with the Spirit of God. We have no power to change the hearts of men, only God does that. Faith is a gift. We can speak of God, but only in prayer and fellowship and obedience can we walk in power. To know this and see it at work is heartbreaking, because where there is no power there is sin. It hurts to speak and not be heard. The first work of one who belongs to God is fellowship. We ought not to be as the Ephesians of the book of revelation: "Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent." They were doing the works of God, but were not fellowshipping with Him to His satisfaction and were therefore in sin. I do not say these things to offend or to accuse, but I know that the power in the voice is found only in much prayer and fellowship. Petition God to change the hearts of your family members. All power is His. I do perceive that you have been given much understanding. This is clear from your posts. I will pray for you and your family. I know that God is with you. Adarian.
  15. I will pray for you.
  16. Kittylover0991, These things are acts of hatred. People who love you don't do these things. Are you old enough to leave and support yourself? If so I advise you to begin the exit process, and keep it to yourself until you are out. If you are not old enough to leave home and support yourself, do you have a friend's place you can exit to that will shelter you in secret if you have to bug out in a rush? I left home at 17 for much the same reasons. I considered my parents to be a lost cause, and as it turns out, they never did change.
  17. The cartoon thing is just an easy excuse to pour out hatred and anger on anyone. Muhammed was caricatured, kill people, destroy lives, torch stuff. This is the same thing as booze, money, and cars. They reveal the true character of a man. The veneer of civilization is pulled back and the heart is visible. A cartoon. What a crock. Islam is demonic.
  18. Gay marriage. Oxymoron. Brokeback Mountain getting awards? cough, cough, hack.cough, hack, hack, hack. Huuuuuuuurrrrrrrkk. hack, hack, coughhackhackhack, huuuuuuuuurrrrrrkkk---------spitui. Whew, monster gag there.
  19. He George, the article didn't appear on the page when I followed the link. But the evangelization going on in China inspires me. I hear there are now 100 million christians in China. And just a couple of years ago, there were nearly thirty thousand baptisms in a single week.
  20. Quote:"50 cent's dog">"I wish all people who came to America were Christians. What a better place our country would be". Hear hear.
  21. That's harsh. What kind of alleged men kidnap women and force them to convert to islam. Spiritual rape. Pretty sad.
  22. The mark of the beast is a mark of ownership on the places of the body reserved for God and his seal. To accept this mark, and it will be overt, is to forever cut yourself off from the salvation of God. It is a go directly to hell card. Do not pass go, do not collect $200.00. The people of God are sealed by the Holy Spirit on the forehead. To sell out to another is to get yourself eternally condemned. Take no mark, either visible or electronic. The form of the mark will be revealed in its due time, but why at that time find out that you already have it?
  23. Apostasy is the abandoning of the faith altogether. Rejecting what was once believed. Apostasy creeps like a vine. But I do have a question. This falling away of 2 Thessalonians; does it refer to those who abandon the faith from within? This seems to me absurd, or as Paul stated, they were never really of the church, or they wouldn't have left. Or, does it refer to the world becoming increasingly resistant to the power of the gospel of Christ. Such that the whole world goes into sinful overdrive, angrily hating anything that stands up against filthiness and hedonism, and the love of goods? I tend towards seeing it as a great apostasy, of the world hating truth because of the pursuit of the fleshly lusts. I am considering using the rise of Islam and homosexuality as a measuring tape to hold against the world and determine what spiritual time it is.
  24. A quote from Ovedya: "BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING -- GREAT! If Big Brother is listening on my phone, then BIG BROTHER is gonna get saved! If Big Brother is watching every move on the internet -- PRAISE GOD, because Big brother is going to get saved! I'm HOPE that BIG BROTHER is watching me -- because I'll be collecting rewards that I didn't even know about!" I sliced off a comment from another place on the board because it reminded me of something that very much impressed me. I hope I haven't offended you Ovedya. A few months ago I had the privilege of listening to a recording of a speech given by Corrie Ten Boom, who survived a long stay at Ravensbruck concentration camp in Nazi Germany during the second world war. Several years after her liberation, she had been invited to speak in some Russian churches, and of course she went. The Russian government informed her that she could not preach at all on Russian soil. She asked theme if she could introduce herself, and was told yes, so she introduced herself in the form of a sermon. And said good-bye the same way. While in a Russian hotel, she had been made aware of the fact that foreigners were assigned rooms with hidden microphones in them, hence the Big Brother connection from your post Ovedya. She was sitting there wondering how she could reach the lost Russian KGB officers who might be listening to her. Then she thought of the microphones. She knelt down near a heating grate where a microphone would have been easily placed and preached the whole gospel in the form of a prayer for the Russian government and people. Brilliant, and so very courageous.
