  1. Really! How dare they interfere with the financing of terrorism, and the slaughter of unarmed civilians. Filthy Americans, the nerve.
  2. Dissolve the Hamas government? I for one would like to see that. But, can you disslove hatred in a glass of water and throw it down the sink?
  3. Americans have a history of being unstoppable in outright war, and they still are, but once occupying a country, they just hang around with targets painted on them. The only way to tame a nation like Iraq is to hunt and kill until the job is done, and if the USA is not prepared to do that they will lose the fight and leave in shame and disgrace.
  4. When applying for a job, I refuse to fill out applications, and I do not have a resume. Neither of these methods has ever landed me an interview of consequence, and neither of these methods has ever landed me a job, so I have abandoned both. I have seldom answered job ads. Every time I have needed a job or desired to move on, I have gone to prospective employers and asked to see the person who does the hiring. This method seldom requires more than two visits, and that kind of initiative generally produces fast results. It dramatically reduces the job search time. If I cannot see this person, that company is written off as a place I do not wish to work. If I have no access while the company is hiring, I will have no access after they hire me and that is unacceptable to me. Be proactive. One woman I know of researched all of the companies she might wish to work for, selected the one she liked the most, found out who did the hiring and went to the head office. She waltzed right past the receptionist and into the exec's office, sat down in front of him and said "I only work for the best, when can I start". She was hired on the spot. Face to face job hunting is the best and fastest way to get hired. It is far and away superior to the send a resume and wait scheme. Fill out applications or submit a resume after you get hired. The labor shortage in the western world these days makes it easy. DaughterofKing, divide activities into sin, and not sin, based on the Word of God. If what you wish to do is not sin you are free to go ahead. Do not worry about what might happen. If you are born of God, then life is Christ and death is gain. No worries. As Paul said, "pray without ceasing", God is with you, and watching over you and "according to your faith will it be unto you". This is a license to receive blessing from God.
  5. Disbelief is a natural reaction to new information. Unbelief is a conscious choice to reject information, and in regard to Jesus Christ is therefore a sin.
  6. Romans 9: 1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. We can love or hate what we have for government all we want, but whatever each nation is governed by, it was set up that way by God. Psalm 9: 17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God. Every nation that forgets God will be turned into hell on earth, and never in history has that been more true than this very day. Proverbs 21: 1 The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will. The earth is and always has been a theocracy ultimately governed by God, except that God has placed men of His choosing in positions of power, who govern according to His will whether they know it or not. The return of Christ is the great event for which all believers wait. The final theocracy unsullied by the foolishness of corrupt men.
  7. It amazes me that so many governments throughout history and today feel that Christianity is some kind of competition for their positions of power, which in the end it is, but that such thought in reality suggests that these people think they can compete with God for what He gave them in the first place.
  8. ???? How would they know if it really is the tomb of Paul?
  9. A tighter focus on Israel and her enemies, and the stage is set for a charismatic leader to arise and give everybody some perspective, yes?
  10. Daniel 11: 37 Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all. I have wondered for a long time if the Jewish leadership would be willing to accept homosexuality. Coz I believe the antichrist himself will be gay.
  11. I have to wonder if there is a seven year deal in the backgroung here.
  12. The UN intrigues me, in that they are so so so slow to respond to any serious crises, they respond begrudgingly at times, and are absolutely blind to the vile hatred of the world towards Israel, or as Shiloh said, "they share his (Ahmedinejad) views".
  13. The enemies of Israel are the enemies of God, and an end is decreed for them.
  14. I have and did. When will I learn that I do not have to write a book to get my point across but instead one simple sentence that says so much? I love to write but I wonder, do others get more out of a simple statement so true than a few paragraphs of words that also make sense or are they both powerful tools to get the message across? Both are useful, but the single statement is often more powerful. To add one more scripture to the post by Mr&Mrs Mike Irish, 1Cor 10: 1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; 2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; 3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat; 4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. This is waaaaaayyy before the birth of Jesus, and a clear statement that Jesus is God in the old testament.
  15. Hebrews 7: 9 And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham. 10 For he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him. Luke 4: 34 ...........Which was the son of Jacob, which was the son of Isaac, which was the son of Abraham,......................... Genesis 35: 22.........................................Now the sons of Jacob were twelve: 23 The sons of Leah; Reuben, Jacob's firstborn, and Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Zebulun: Abraham fathered Isaac, who fathered Jacob, who fathered Levi. There are three generations between Abraham and Levi, and Levi was credited with a righteous act, not simply before he was conceived, but three generations before. Hold abortion up to this, and the illness of it becomes yet more clear. We are held accountable for the sins of our fathers and credited with their works of righteousness, generations before we appear on the scene. Abortion is filth, in all of its arguments.
  16. Really good thread. I think that in a church where fellowship among people is difficult, the people are not fellowshipping with God. Solitary fellowship, or prayer, with God, is the way to recharge and be ready for the work of the Lord, which might be done in church on sunday. Revelation, chapter 2: 3 And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted. 4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. 5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. This group was out of fellowship with God, and therefore their "church" was about to be disbanded.
  17. Hi timetraveller, kpitmvn popped in on the thread, and I felt that the same response suits you both. Fellowship with the Lord is the thing.
  18. God made you for His good pleasure. The first thing He requires of us is fellowship in the way of daily prayer. Being born of God changes us in significant ways. We are given a new spirit which is able to enter the kingdom of heaven and which is able to be in the most holy place (before the throne of grace) in prayer. We are given a new heart by which we are able to appreciate and understand the ways of the Lord. We are indwelt by the Holy Spirit and By the Lord Christ, and the Father makes His home with us, so that we are able to worship in Spirit and in Truth. The truth being Jesus Christ Himself. We are then able to aquire the "fruit of the Spirit" which is obtained only through prayer, long term daily prayer. From the book of Galatians, chapter 5: 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. Temperance is the ability to exercise self control over the sinful urges of the flesh. And the more we walk with God in daily prayer and daily obedience the more He blesses our lives and the activities we are involved in. Hard circumstance is put into our lives to drive us to our knees and seek God, or to expose sin, or to try our faith. Seek Him in prayer.
  19. $3600 a month for HIV meds. $2000 a month for Multiple Sclerosis drugs, for pills that cost $50 a ton to make. Nearly 160,000 adults and 45,000 children in the US die from prescription drug complications every year, or nearly 4000 people per mainland state. All drugs are toxic, and the only ones that really constitute a cure are the antibiotics which kill bacterial infections, all others are just maintenance, slowing the progression of certain illnesses, but not curing anything. After all, there is no profit in a cure. The drugs are nearly as dangerous as the illnesses they are intended to treat. Mind you, some years ago, when doctors in Israel went on strike, the undertakers lobbied the government to force the doctors back to work, as the death and burial business nearly dried up. The death rate dropped hugely. The harmaceutical industry is appalling. The missing letter P is not a typo.
