  1. Live every single day from the day that you are 'born again' as if you will meet Jesus that day. Then no matter what, you will not have lived in vain. None of us has the promise of tomorrow. Let us be about the Father's business this day and every day that we live. What is God's will for a believer's life? That we bring souls into the Kingdom and that we bear fruit. If you do this daily, bearing fruit and witnessing to other's what Jesus has done for you, and that He is the way the truth and the life, you will be ready to see Him that day, whether He splits the eastern sky or you pass from this life into the life to come. Be ready, no matter the hour or the day. Even so, come Lord Jesus. Love in Christ, Mary (ellie)
  2. You're welcome. I forgot to give the NT scriptures. Here they are. 42And they continued steadfastly in the apostles
  3. Tithing is an absolute in our lives. God has never forsaken us in this area, no matter what the end of the month looked like to us, when we got there the Lord provided. God has a royal way in which He provides for us His children and He builds our faith in this way. In the many years we have been serving Christ, this is one area that He has never let us down in, even when we were young in the faith we gave our tithe and offerings. One month was especially bad, we had no money for groceries. Our children were quite small and dependent on us to provide. We went to the Throne and made our needs known to God alone, we did not tell anyone else. We went to church that very morning, and since we lived in a small town where we knew nearly everyone we never locked our door. When we came home from church there were boxes and boxes of groceries piled up, not only groceries (more than a months worth) but there was laundry detergent and toilet paper (God always provides more abundantly than we ask for) we had such a surplus that we gave some of it away to a neighbor who was struggling. I could go on and on with the times the Lord has done this. Right now we prove God's royal way daily, we operate a world wide ministry with ministry partners around the world. We have never asked for funds, we are not allowed to, God made that clear with us early on. Yet, our ministry budget is well over $1,000 a month (this is just for the ministry all our staff are volunteers there are no paid positions) and we have never once failed to meet our monthly budget. God has provided ever step of the way without us ever asking for funds. Our ministry is called His Will Ministry, it is His will to provide, He asks for a tenth of our income and free will offerings. He will not let You down. And He will rebuke the devourer for your sake. Trust Him. And give with a joyous heart, this makes all the difference. We have a wonderful Christian brother who once said to us, we are not under the law and we don't have to tithe anymore. So I told him, okay then let us do what the New Testament believers did, they came together and gave everything they had and it was then distrubuted as needed. Either way, we cannot loose. God will provide, we have His promise on that and God's promise is as current coin. Love in Christ, Mary (ellie) His Will Ministry
  4. Father, there are so many lost in the darkness of this world, I ask You to shine Your light into their darkness Lord, not only tonight but every night and day of their lives. Jesus, You are the bright morning star, shine Your wondorous love into these sin hardned hearts, into these lost souls. Bring them to You Lord Jesus that they will have salvation. Save them from their lives of sin, Lord and save them from Hell. We ask this in the Holy name of Jesus, our Lord and our Savior. Amen
  5. Father, how I pray right now that those who do not know You would come to know You, and to accept Jesus Christ as their Savior. I know that if they ever felt Your Love as I do and many others that I know do, they would forever be changed by that Wondrous and unconditional Love. How I thank You for Loving me Lord when I was so unlovable, thank You for my salvation from sin. I would give up anything in this world for Your Love Lord, for Your beautiful wonderful Love. When a sinner feels that forgiveness there is nothing in life to ever compare with it. What peace, what wonderful peace. I would give up country, home, family and life rather than ever turn back, there is nothing in this world worth giving up Your Love for. The Love that hung on a cruel cross for me. Thank You Jesus, thank You, I will never be able to thank You enough dearest Lord Jesus for that sacrifice for me and for everyone. Praise Your Name Jesus. I love You Lord Jesus, You are my Lord and my Redeemer. The Lover of soul, my dearest companion, I could not live in this world without You, now that I know You so intimately I could not live without Your presence in my life. I have not had a day of lonliness since I met You Jesus. Thank You Lord, Shine Your beautiful light into the lonely hearts here, that they will know You as I do Lord and they will wonder how they ever lived without You. REAL LOVE Musicians try to sing of love and poets try to write it, Preachers sometimes preach of love, while lovers just ignite it, The world pursues other avenues, mostly at its loss, But the only definition I have of Love is Jesus on my cross, Jesus on my cross, you see, is a love that never ends, Jesus, God's most perfect gift dying for my sins, That is perfect Love to me though I could not ever earn it, All my life I will draw near to Him in hopes that I might learn it, All my words could not explain though I write many pages, Love, Real love hung on my cross, oh wonder of the ages. Mary (ellie) 2004
  6. Exactly, where would any of us be without God's love. Oh how he loves you and me (meaning everyone).
  7. Sometimes atheists visit Christian boards in order to cut and paste their posts after having goaded them into vain arguments, and then they post those replies on sites that ridicule Christianity. I am not saying that all atheist do this, but I have experienced this in the past. I have no need to study atheisim by learning from one, or many. My job as a Christian is to love everyone and share Jesus Christ with them. It is not my job to convict, that is the Holy Spirits job. Becuase I am a Christian I am obligated to tell you that Jesus Christ came into the world, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, was crucified and raised from the dead and sits at the right hand of the Father this very moment in heaven. He died to save sinners and salvation is free for all. What you do with this information is up to you. But there really is no need at all for atheists to teach Christians how to witness to them, the Holy Spirit is our teacher and our guide and our comforter. In His Love, Mary (ellie)

  9. My husband has been a scientist for years and years, and he has been a Pastor (man of God) almost as long. He can explain the wonders to be seen in science right down to the molecular level from a unique view point, that of one who also believes in God as Creator. In years gone by he used to engage in debates with those who do not believe in God, some of these people are in the same field of science that he is, but he no longer engages in debates, he feels they are counter productive. Instead he simply asks a person who does not believe in God this: "If you are a person who might wager a bet, and you bet your life on what you believe to be true that when you die that you simply cease to exist, if you are correct in what you believe, and your theory is true then I have lost nothing and I just cease to exist, but you have lost everything. My reasoning is this, I believe in God and subsequently in an place of eternal reward and happiness which is heaven, I also believe in a place of eternal punishment and torment which is hell. So, if my beliefs are correct when I die then I am in heaven and you are in hell. Whether you believe in God, heaven or hell will be beside the point at that time." Some people who do not believe in God also do not believe that they can believe. It takes faith to believe in God, and it also requires a measure of faith not to believe. In choosing not to believe in God a person forms their own belief system. I was contemplating Faith and that is how this poem came to be. Faith Faith is the substance of things hoped for of things not seen, It isn't the ethereal landscape of dreams, It takes faith to believe of that I am sure, Whether you believe in the cause of a thing or its cure, If you take a stance and you pitch your tents, It takes faith to stand on either side of the fence, And faith in and of itself can never deceive, So faith makes it possible for one to believe, If truth is subective as some people state, It takes faith to believe that and seal ones own fate, Faith will live on, faith need not strive, Faith will triumph and faith will survive, For what you believe in, it is faith you must own, Whether you travel with God, or go on your own, When you come to your end, be it nothing, be it heaven or hell, The only thing that will matter then, is did you choose well? Believing in God allows me a little something to savor, For it seems that the odds are stacked in my favor, For if it is true when I die that there is no 'beyond', I will not be in hell, I will only be gone.
  10. I know it is hard to forgive in some situations especially when you are so angry. I had a hard time forgiving my parents when I first came to Christ, but I was victorious once I asked God to make me willing to forgive. Maybe you could do that. Here is my testimony. 11. Hi Christina, first you are precious to God and He loves you. The Bible says before He formed you in the womb, He knew you. It also says that He numbers the hairs of your head. What you have to offer God is your self, which is valuable to Him. He promises to never leave you or forsake you, and the Bible says that He searches for those who will worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. Now that means that you do have something to offer to God. Not only your self, but your worship. Do you pray? If so, you are offering God your time. Being a mother myself I know that what you do is very valuable, you have an infinitely important job, raising a child is no easy task, and if you are raising your children in the fear of the Lord, that is also something you are offering to God. Raising your children is a worthy and wonderful occupation, and God values that. I will pray for you and if you don't mind I will share your prayer request with all of my prayer teams and they will be praying for you as well. Let me pray for you right now. Father I come to You in agreement with my sister Christina, Lord I know that she is precious to You and I ask that You shower Your wondrous love upon her. Lord she feels alone and Jesus, You draw near to the brokenhearted. Draw her near to You Lord Jesus and give her a work to do for You. Lord Jesus, You are the Light of the world and I ask that You guide my dear sister with Your light. Teach her to spend time in Your presence, seeking You in prayer and in studying the word of God. I ask that You provide friends for her, friends that will uplift her and help her to walk daily with You Lord. You have promised in Your word that You would never leave us or forsake us, so that right now I know that You will not forsake Christina as she calls upon You, her Redeemer and Her Savior. Thank You Lord Jesus for Your undconditional Love towards us. In Jesus Name.

    Atheism

Dear AZ if you are not here to debate theisim, then what are you here for? Are you here to persuade others not to believe in God, or to defend your right not to believe? The topic of the thread is Atheisim, I have responded by detailing my experience from my point of view as others here have. I did not claim to know all atheists or to say that all atheists are the same. All human beings are different and yes I do believe that belief is that simple. When I wake up in the morning I believe that I will be faced with daylight, whether it is bright or filtered through clouds, and lo and behold in all the years of my life this has been so. I cannot control the daylight or the nightfall, yet I believe it will happen just the same. I believe that when I look into a mirror that the face which greets me is my own, and fascinatingly enough this has been confirmend by photos that were take of me. So, yes to me belief is that simple. There are things that I know seem to be impossible simply because of the laws of, physics but there are times that even the law of physics bends to its Creator. The marvelous thing about free will is that each of us has the right to choose to believe in God or not. You certainly do have the right to choose and I respect your right to choose. Since I choose to believe in God and in Jesus Christ as my Savior I have become a member of this message board which is predominantly Christian. If you are not here to engage in discussions of theisim or atheisim then what are you wanting from discussions here? Curious.

    Atheism

I once knew an atheist who was terrified of dying. As a Christian I asked him why, he couldn't pin point it. And so I said to him: "If someone were standing between us right now ready to kill us both unless we denied what we believed in, what would you do"? He said, "you mean if someone were to say to me that they would kill me if I did not deny my atheism"? I said yes. He said, well I guess I would have to deny it, what would you do? I told him that I would never deny my believe in Jesus Christ and that I would rather die than to do that. He was astounded. Then I began to grin, he said, "What is so funny about this"? I told him that I would die a believer and he would live a believer and that I thought that was ironic. And here is the dilemma I believe most atheists have, they cannot fully explain why millions of people have died through the centuries rather than deny Jesus Christ. I don't know of anyone who will lay down their very life for a myth. And I would like to add that I am eternally grateful for Jesus Christ who laid His life down for all of us. Dr. Geisler developed his defense of theism through ten steps, here is his outline. 1. Some things undeniably exist. 2. My nonexistence is possible. 3. Whatever has the possibility not to exist is currently caused to exist by another. 4. There cannot be an infinite regress of current causes of existence. 5. Therefore, a first uncaused cause of my current existence exists. 6. This uncaused cause must be infinite, unchanging, all-powerful, all-knowing, and all-perfect. 7. This infinitely perfect being is appropriately called "God". 8. Therefore, God exists 9. This God who exists is identical to the God described in the Christian Scriptures. 10. Therefore the God described in the Bible exists.

Thanks so much everyone. You are all so helpful, wow that other bear dream was really something. Yikes. Thanks too Katie, I will now explain some of the opposition we have been experincing in our ministry. Although our ministry is international we do many things locally not only in the US, but in our own town. Recently a building became available that the county owns (it is the old senior site) a new senior center was built and the county has been trying to decide what they wanted to do with the old one. We met with the county commissioners last week with a proposal for the building. We wanted to open it as a community services center which our ministry would operate locally. Some of the services we were interested in providing were, a free store (for the needy), temporary housing for the homeless and transients, and a resource program for new moms. One commissioner was adamant about us using the building because of "Separation of Church and State". It has become a controversy here in our community and the other three commissioners had no problem with the idea and even said we could get around the Separation of Church and State issue by paying rent, which we agreed to do. However, the one commissioner was still vehemently opposed to this. He stated repeatedly how much he was opposed to this, and interestingly enough said "I know that the first amendement doesn't specifically address this situation and it does not say anything about the Separation of Church and State, however I am still opposed to it nonetheless." There was a big write up in the paper, with the paper actually siding with us. So it will be fascinating to see what the outcome will be. We left our proposal with the commissioners and they must make some decision. I will keep you updated. Thanks for all the input, it has been most helpful. Love Mary (ellie)
  17. Have you noticed that 'religious tolerance' is being extended more and more to Satanists and less and less to Christians? Prisoners are allowed to practice Satanism whose rituals often include the sacrificing of chickens. Recently twenty Chrisitans were arrested in PA just for holding signs up that said 'repent' at a gay parade. I wonder if PETA has jumped on the ritual of sacrificing chickens yet. (Makes a mental note to contact them )

At this point we have been invited to do open air preaching in the form of crusades and revivals. Our ministry has been evangelistic since the beginning. Since our ministry is called His Will Ministry we are awaiting God's will in these situations. He has not released us yet to go. We are praying about it and will continue to pray. Thanks so much for your input. God Bless Mary (ellie)
  19. Christians through the ages have taken a stand and refused to deny Christ, forfeiting their lives in the process. Remember as Christians truly dedicated to Jesus Christ we can never do anything but refuse to deny Him even if it means being beheaded. This is one of my strongest soul winning points when I am witnessing to people about following Jesus Christ. Many people believe Christianity is a myth, and so I often say "If that is the case then why can you see throughout history people dying for the cause of Christ, people will not give up their lives for a myth". If we are still living when this time comes, those who have a deeply intimate relationship with Jesus Christ will choose to die rather than deny Him, me included. I love my Jesus, He died for me, this body is temporary any way you look at it. But eternity is forever. Choose well.

Thanks everyone, that sheds some light on all of it. Especially what Super Jew said. We have been invited to go overseas on missions the last year, to Africa, Nepal, Phillipines etc. The Lord has not released us to go yet. We have an over the air radio broadcast and we minister there in other ways, but so far the Lord has not released us to go. So the missions thing makes sense, also we have experienced a bit of persecution here in our own home town. I thought of Russia too because of the association in scripture to Russia being the bear. All of this was very helpful to me. I appreciate all of your input. Leonard, I grew up in Denver and seven years ago we moved up to Wyoming. We lived on the western slope before we moved up here to Wyoming. It is snowing here right now, we live in a mountain town and we get snow from Sept. to May, but oh how beautiful it is. You guys are the best. God bless, Mary (ellie) His Will Ministry Global Prayer Warriors

  23. Ok, first let me say I have no idea if these are prophetic dreams or not, maybe some of you will have a clue....she says hopefully Three different dreams over three nights in a row. First dream: I was with a bunch of children, apparently I was caring for them for some reason. We were in the wilderness climbing a mountain. When we reached the top one of the children who was looking over the edge started screaming. I ran over to see why he was screaming and I looked over the edge of the mountain and saw many grizzly bears snarling and baring their teeth, they were almost upon us when I looked over the edge. I grabbed some tarps and threw them over the bears, this seemed to disorient them momentarily. When they crawled over the edge they all stood on their hind feet and began marching forward. I began to call out to Jesus for help and the Lord protected us. Second dream: I was with a group of people in a town square. We were all talking when someone gasped and pointed down the street. When I looked I saw an 'army' of grizzly bears standing on their hind feet marching like soldiers. People began to run away from the square and hide in their homes. Third dream: I was in a tall building looking down a main street that seemed to be deserted, I began to hear marching. Suddenly I saw row after row after row of grizzly bears standing on their hind feet marching, they looked like an army, which is really crazy, because they were quite obviously grizzly bears. That is it. Anyone have a clue. Please do not flame me, as I am not saying that these dreams are prophetic, that is just the feeling they gave me.
  24. Hi Everyone: I have never received a word of prophecy from the Lord, but I believe some people do. A short while back I had a dream that seemed to be prophetic. The setting of the dream was this nation, but I knew that it also applied to the world. I have never had such a vivid dream before, but I have had several seemingly prophetic dreams after this one. So, here it goes. I dreamed there was a giant tidal wave (black and rolling with all kinds of vile filth in it) moving across this nation, every where it rolled it left utter darkness. It was so vile that you could smell it before you ever saw it. Many people who attended church and thought of themselves as Christians were overcome by the tidal wave. It seemed as though nothing could stop it. Suddenly in the dream a group of believers formed a strong wall, they were literally glowing like I imagine Moses did when coming down off the mountain, and they were holding the word of God in their hands. As the tidal wave came against them it split and went on either side of them, then as they began walking forward the light of God went before them. Every step they took they reclaimed the darkness that the tidal wave had brought. When I woke up I wrote the dream down in my prayer journal. Now I do not claim to be prophetic, but I do believe that the Lord can speak to us through a word of prophecy or a dream. Just thought I would add my two cents for what it is worth. Love in Christ Jesus, ellie
  25. That reminds me so much of a dream I had awhile back. I dreamed I was a beautiful bride dressed in a lovely white wedding gown. I was prepared for a wedding ceremony, but suddenly I noticed I had on old tattered tennis shoes, I discarded them and put on appropriate shoes. Next someone handed me a large cumberson purse to carry, but I discarded it. Then a Pastor handed me a necklace that turned out to be like a noose and I threw it aside. Suddenly I was standing at the back of a church preparing to walk down the isle, I looked around and said "Where is the groom?" As soon as I spoke these words, Jesus stood next to me and said, "I am the groom, and my bride has made herself ready." Needles to say, I awoke with the biggest smile on my face.
