My first personal encounter with god happened when I was 19 years old. Out of no where i was suddenly convicted of all the wrong things i have done and out of desperation i cried out "i don't no what to do, if your there God I need your help. That's when God clearly spoke 3 things to me 1 you know the truth now. 2 do not be like the world, you are better than that. 3 I am coming back a lot sooner than you realize.

Trying to understand so I may need help; here is what I take from this post. you don't believe in a global flood, even though God inspired someone to write it down. That first sentence leads me to think you do not believe an ark was built because you also do not believe there was enough room on it from the measurements God also inspired someone to write down. Would I be wrong if I thought you also do not believe Noah even existed; he is part of the same book that describes the ark and its measurements. without a concordance or word study and only a 12 grade education I already knew the dirt beneath my feet was part of this planet called earth. Last I am worried there may other parts of the Bible you do not believe. If I received something other than what you said; help me get it right. No you would be wrong about me. I do believe in a real Noah and a real major flood just not that it was global. Why would you think that I don't believe parts of the bible. Remember scripture says "we see through a glass darkly" the bible is true but is our understanding and interpretation of scripture always correct? The answer to that question is a clear no for we are only human and subject to error.

Could you kindly give a breakdown of the number of original species there were on the ark, and the average space they would have each taken and compare this with the floor area of all the levels of the ark. From this basis we can determine the accuracy of your claims. . Can you? Other scientists have done the math and have concluded that it is impossible taking into account the size of the ark for a breeding pair of each animal species. Also how do you explain how all the different animal species spread around the globe when all the continents are separated by vast amounts of water?

I don't believe in a global flood, there are more species of animals on planet earth than what could of fit inside Noah's ark even when its just a breeding pair ( oh and don't forget the unclean animals that was on the ark too). If you get a concordance and do a word study on the flood you will find the word earth doesn't just mean the planet but it also means the dirt beneath your feet and also the local area around you. Don't take my word for it, do the research for yourself but just have an open mind. God doesn't want us to be ignorant of these things.

Can you please show some bible scripture to back up this claim? no but I could introduce you to three or four of them if they would still speak to me after twenty five years and you could ask for yourself Your using personal experience to make a theological doctrine/teaching and Jesus condemned people for "teaching the doctrines of men as the commandments of God". Even if what you said happened actually happened why would you believe an unclean spirit? Remember Satan is the father of lies.

Yes we should obey but it should be based on love not fear. A love based obedient heart is more genuine than a fear based obedient heart.

The Bible says that the stars were created after the earth. The BB says they were created before the earth. The problem is that the Bible gives us a watery start to the earth, not a cooling start. The seven days of Genesis can't be any amount of time. The Hebrew won't allow for that. . Please read up on what a lot of ancients and modern rabbi scholars thought about the genesis creation account. A majority of them agree that it is written in a poetic and symbolic nature. In fact a lot of the scripture has symbolic language all through out it.

When people abandon the word of God for the words of men, it reveals a lot about their heart and that they don't fear God. First of all it's "God" with a big "G." Secondly, yes he will and it is up to us to let them know they are under that judgment. There is a version of Christianity that isn't based on the Bible or Jesus, but based on what is socially acceptable. No, I just know the Word of God and I believe what it says and those who forsake the Lord for the teachings of men are under God's judgment. There is nothing wrong with my attitude. I just know the truth and I can't be emotionally manipulated to discard the truth in order to accommodate lies. While you may have your theology down right it doesn't excuse your self righteous attitude. Love is the most important thing. Even if you can comprehend all of God's mysterys all have faith enough to move mountains yet have not love you are nothing but a clanging symbol. If Paul the apostle himself had to examine himself to see if he was sound in the faith, I suggest you do the same. It is because of attitudes like this that a lot of Christians have that's pushes people away from god instead of drawing them to him.

Sorry, but the Big Bang isn't even close to that. It is nothing more than a hypothesis. I didn't say there was no evidence for the Big Bang. I said there was no proof. You need to learn the difference. There is evidence for creationism, but most people like you dismiss it out of hand as evidence at all. And all of them would be wrong. There is a difference between being a "Christian" and being a genuine follower of Jesus. Most of Europe as abandoned Jesus for a version of Christianity that is devoid of God or Jesus. They have a religion, but they are still lost sinners going to hell, just like you.. Who are you to judge another christian and say their not a true believer? It is god who will judge them in the great white throne judgment. Your actions come off as self righteous and with a "I know better than you" attitude. You probably have been told that before but didn't even take the time to self reflect and see if that could be true. No, what YOU posted is sheer and utter nonsense. That is NOT evolution. Variations within a kind or species isn't "evolution." Animals adapt within a given kind or species. They don't evolve into another kind of creature. More liberal drivel. The Big Bang is not described in the Bible and the Bible contradicts the Big Bang on fundamental levels. You obviously have a low view of God's inerrant word and a high view man's fallible words.. I tried to find an emoticon for a facepalm but couldn't find one...... Evolution has never been observed, not once. Since you were not present to observe the origin of the universe you have no proof of how it started. The Big Bang and Evolution are hypotheses and that is the most that can really be said because there is no experiment that can be conducted to test either one. Ultimately, you have nothing in terms of anything that prove a Big Bang ever occurred. . Evolution has been observed by man. Just look at how all of our dogs today have descended from a single ancestor the gray wolf. So to say that evolution does not happen is a sheer and utter nonsense. Also to deny that there was a Big Bang is to also deny that God created the universe at one point in time because the Bible clearly states that the universe did not always exist and that in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Have any of you watched the TV documentary "COSMOS A SPACETIME ODYSSEY"? I just recently got the blu-ray and have started watching it. The visual special effects are amazing like something a big Hollywood movie would make. While its not produced from a christian point of view, the science for the most part is on point. I've heard from other Christians that you shouldn't watch it because its made by non Christians and could cause you to start doubting gods word. I don't think that's a sound approach, we can think for ourselves and choose what to believe or not to believe for ourselves. Have any of you guys seen it? What are your thoughts on it?

Plus thermal readings of the earth taken by satalite show a dramatic increase of the planets temperature recently. I don't buy into junk science either, I start with an unbiased and open mind when i do research and go where the evidence leads even if I don't like what the evidence says.

Its a fact that we are in a stage of global warming. Scientist have extracted ice core samples and tested how much co2 was in the atmosphere in the ancient past and there was much much less than compared to the samples that were taken that showed a dramatic increase at the start of the industrial revolution. These experiments have been repeated a multitude of times and the results were always the same. Plus we can see that the glaciers are melting and so is the permafrost that has been frozen for many thousands of years.
