I was attending a charismatic church for a short time, when the youth of the church took a trip to Toronto for what I believe is the movement described above. Upon their return the youth experienced violent shaking, uncontrolable laughter, giggling and other such nonsense during our church service. The pastor was preaching a rather good sermon of repentence and obedience to God, but at the most compelling parts of the sermon, the hysterical verbalizations and gyrations of the youth rose to levels that drowned out the pastor's words. It was clear to me that the spirit affecting these youth was not from God. I had, at the time, recently watched a National Geographic special on Voodoo rituals, and the behavior of the youth more closely matched the behavior of those demon-possessed/influenced participants in those pagan rituals than anything from the Holy Spirit.

Do you really think this is a moral country? Do you really believe you are truly free? This country left democracy very early in its history, converting to a republic (central government domination). It is now well on its way towards a totalitarian regime. Facial recognition scanning, airport scanners, video surveillance, satellite surveillance, unchecked FBI and CIA ability to spy on civilians given by the patriot act (ironically named), the merger of over 100 governmental agencies into a single office of homeland security, a never-ending war on terror undeclared by congress but allowing the government wartime powers, a power hungry atourney general, the ability to hold accused foreigners indefinitely and try them in a military court, the ability to call citizens accused of crimes "enemy combatants" and hold them indefinitely in a military institution without legal council or trial. It will only get worse from here, and if you don't think so after reading Revelation....

actually, the america itself (politically) is more like greece/roman/british society mixed together, and not much like mediopersia. However, the false religious system goes back to the ancient mysteries of babylon/egypt. This would fit mystery babylon riding the back of the beast.

the other thing that fits this is that when Daniel wrote the prophecy of the four beasts to come, he was living in the empire of Babylon. This would mean the four beasts to come would match with your "medes/persians, greece, rome, and british/neobritish". the fourth terrible beast would, like the america dominated society of today, combine characteristics of babylon, greece, rome, and britain (which american-type society has).

well, if he claims he is the christ, he is not the antichrist, for the antichrist will not be revealed (make the claim to be the messiah) until the middle of the 7 year period, after the 7th trumpet. (See Daniel and Revelations)

as it says in the end times men will call good evil, and evil good. But God places a special woe upon men such as these. OK, better examples: the house of Israel includes all the tribes coming from Isreal. yes, and I realize these are a special case and are a special group...I talked about them in the thesis in Last Trump. I talk alot about the metaphorical Israel there too. The point I am making is that the 10 "lost tribes" are not deleted in end times prophecy. for instance, this talks of the end times, at the time when Jesus returns: Zec 12:10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for [his] only [son], and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for [his] firstborn. Zec 12:11 In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon. i agree that God himself divides along boundaries in some cases, actually many cases, but at the end, they come back together as the children of Israel, and all the tribes (well, except Dan, from whence the Antichrist comes) are represented. Rev 7:3-8 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. And I heard the number of them which were sealed: [and there were] sealed an hundred [and] forty [and] four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.
