Assured You don't understand the problem of having a President who thinks killing babies after they are born is OK? You don't understand the problem with a President who sat under a speaker (I refuse to call him a pastor) who ranted about the evils of America for 20 years and believes in Black Liberation Theology which is not Christian. You don't understand the problem of a President who has been promoting class warfare that is now erupting througth Occupy? All one has to do is look at the arrest at Occupy to see that this is a not a peaceful protest. It is turning violent and that is not really a surprise to anyone. You don't see a problem with a President who ignore the Constitution and decides that excutive order is the way to get what he wants to do because congress is going to slow and refused to pass his omnibus job destorying bill? (Don't even think of pulling out the fact that he was a Constutional law review person at Harvard because I don't care, I can read the Constution for myself and understand the seperation of powers, and when the he said that the Constution was fundementally flawed he showed that he is not to be respected when it comes the Constution.)

Democratic Presidents continue to appoint judges they know will uphold Roe vs Wade. If you believe God is sovereign and therefore we need to trust him regardless of who the President is, why did you come here attacking Herman Cain? Why are you lifting up Obama and defending Democrats? Why are you attacking Republican members of Congress. After all, God is sovereign, so if Republicans are in Congress, it is because he placed them there. If you don't like their policies, why worry about it? God must know what he is doing? As for birth control, it was just that issue that led to abortion being declared a Constitutional right. There were some states with laws prohibiting birth control. The Supreme Court made up a phony right to privacy to overturn those state laws. They used the same precident to declare all laws against abortion to be unconstitutional. We have had birth control all along, yet we still have 1.5 to 2 million abortions each year since Roe vs Wade. On this matter I will agree with you. Nobody comes to power unless God allows it. That was the case with every President in my lifetime. Not every President is there because they are the best people. Some are there because God is punishing the nation. I believe that is the case with Obama. We have sinned, so he put someone in place that is evil. We are in a free country, so in order to have someone come to power, we vote. God therefore causes some to be conservatives and some to be liberals, and we fight it out. He uses our arguments to influence the independents, and they decide the elections. The death of unborn babies is a punishment on this nation. We are losing our offspring. As a Christian, and an ambassador for God's Kingdom, it is my responsibilitly to support his positions in this world. It is my responsibility to care where someone stands on issues like the destruction of innocent human life. I respect your difference of opinion regarding abortion. I would just request that you not make Democrats wrong for supposedly supporting abortion, when there are Republicans who support it, too. Also, please remember that there are quite a few wealthy liberals - it isn't a class-envy dynamic at all. There are just certain people, regardless of their socioeconomic status, who are committed to Progressive principles. I come from a relatively affluent family, as I said (and I am myself a member of the middle class), and am a former Republican. But I was always a moderate and I remain committed to Progressive principles (such as a progressive income tax code). Since those things no longer have bi-partisan support, I have found it necessary to switch sides. I just hope that Republicans move more toward the middle before they lose their majority. But they might have to lose their majority in order to get the message. Obviously I don't agree with you that President Obama has been elected President only because God is angry with us. The next President might be Jewish or Muslim or Mormon -- may I suggest that this would require even more of an adjustment. All joking aside, President Obama attended church until people voiced objections against what his (Christian) pastor was saying. Now he has pastors visit him at the White House for private Bible study. I don't think God would punish us by giving us someone who prays and reads the Bible. Seriously. Also don't forget, Progressives elected him President, and Progressives are out there now, protesting. The GOP needs to try to win these people over by listening to them, if they want to regain the White House. So far President Obama is the only one listening to them. Self Proclaimed Conservatives outnumber Self Proclaimed Liberals aka Progressives 2 to 1. We don't need Progressives and their antiAmerican Agenda to win elections. All we need is the Independents and Obama has done a wonderful job of losing Independents. What part of its part of the Democrats very Platform to be Pro-death do you not understand. They absolutly support the murder of babies and Obama support the murder of babies even after they are born. I absolutly believe that Obama was the King (so to speak) that America asked for and we are reaping the consequences. Read Romans 1 and then tell me judgement is not on America and has been for about 20 years.

That is shocking to me that a school is banning something thats not Judeo-Christian for once.

The US is a Republic dispite the attempts to convince people we are a Democracy. I believe in a fallen world the best form of government is a Republic, but in a perfect world Monarcy. Democracy always self distruct.

Why It’s Time for the Tea Party

And the Democrats cator to their campaign contributors the unions. Republican did win in 2010 to stop Obama so they are doing what they were voted in to even if you don't like it. Oh the irony you mentioning communism since Obamas policy are slowly and surely heading the US in that direction. The Republican are doing what they can to stop it. -

Your double standard is showing Assured. You can't defend Obama by saying he is a politicians while complaining about the Republicans playing politics. Whether you want to acknowldge it or not Obama has his own money trial that he is listening to. And its not popular hence his 41% approval rating. He has not listened to anyone except the UNIONS and that is going to do nothing for this country. -

Name one politician that isn't influenced by big money interest. President Obama, who got a lot of money from banks yet signed Dodd Frank into law and created the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. He also got a lot of money from Big Oil, yet he wanted to cut oil subsidies. As a result of decisions he has made, much of this money is now going to Romney, because President Obama won't play their game. ROFLOL. You cannot possibly be serious. But the sad thing is I know you are. Its post like this that remind me why I don't take any of your post seriously. Your double standards that you hold and your blind allegaince even in the face of overwhelming evidence of Obamas many faults is just to much some times. Obama is in the back pocket of the UNIONS and the GREEN agenda. Both which have done much harm recently to the US. The Green agenda has cost thousands of jobs through out the US, and as far as Unions go just look at Detort. If you really believe that Obama isn't influenced by money then you really arn't looking hard enough. Oh and here is some information about how your hero has bullied the press (which considering I will never understand their love afair with him since he treats them like junk) Here is a quote from a piece in the Huffington Post (you should have no objections to the source since it is left wing) "Compounding the complaint stemming from the June 6th Great Escape to the Feinstein Compound is an incident from last night, where the Washington Post's Anne Kornblut, who ended up sequestered to a pool house during an Obama fundraiser." and Politico did a nice report talking about his treatment of the press, especially any press who dares to disagree with him." The ferocity of pushback is intense. A routine press query can draw a string of vitriolic e-mails. A negative story can draw a profane high-decibel phone call or worse." You can take about the Knoch brothers all you want, I personally have never heard of them until you brought them up, but IMHO they are the Left wing fall guy that George Soros is to the Right. I roll my eyes at the Right blaiming everything on Soros so I'm going to roll my eyes at you blaiming the Knoch brother. Since i try to avoide a double standard as much as possible. -

Sure Obama has spoken of pharmaceutical companies. He wants to cut their Medicare reimbursements, because "W" neglected to negotiate special Medicare rates with the pharmaceutical companies when he set up Medicare Part D. Oh yeah I just googled and nothing he has said or done actually does anything for dealing with the problems within the pharmacutacal industry. He has done a good job making Insurance companies the bad guy making an "evil profit" at 3-4% margins. But I cannot find anything about how "evil" it is for the pharmacutical companies to make a profit of 10-12% margin. When Millions of dollars of perfectly good, sealed drugs, are destroyed every month in just my state (little known fact that only those with in the industry would realize) that is a problem that could easily be solved. But no one talks about that. So you admit that he has cut medicare and yet you are ok with him since he is a Democrat. Got it. At least you are consistent in towing the party line. Oh BTW if you hate bullies you should look at how the Obama adminstration treats any press that dares to speak against him. But that would be going aginst party lines wouldn't it. Another double standard I guess. -
Why It’s Time for the Tea Party
sue244 replied to WorthyNewsBot's topic in Most Interesting News Developments
The Tea Party is the far right wing of the Republican Party. It is currently heavily influenced and funded by the Koch Brothers and their PAC's, such as Americans for Prosperity. These same people also have involvement in the lobbying organization ALEC, which stands for the American Legislative Exchange Council, which definitely would be a worthwhile Google search if you're not familiar with it. It is very much the right wing of the Republican Party - they do not ever caucus with Democrats in Congress! In no way could this ever be considered to be a 3rd party. You are incorrect as disgruntled Democrats were instrumental in founding of the TEA party. What you are putting forth here is left wing propaganda designed to undermine the truth and validity of the TEA party. Looks like you bought the leftist line. There are still democrats that belong to the TEA party as well and republican members, and they are far from all being the "far right wing" of anything. You are misinformed to say the least. On another note a commentator yesterday said of the "demonstrators" that are currently lost and clueless, that they are blood suckers, mindless, and irritating, welcome to the flea party. I thought that was an accurate summation and worth sharing. Huh? For your information (sue244 knows this - hi sue!) I voted Republican from Reagan to "W." "W" was the last Republican I have voted for, however, so I am a disgruntled Republican. IMO the Republicans were moderate until Newt Gingrich pulled his stunts in the House. I am a moderate and view the rightward shift of the Republican Party with alarm. And I call them "the far right wing" precisely because they do not caucus with Democrats -- that's not a "leftist line" -- that is a fact that you have just admitted yourself. This country is a republic, not a democracy, perhaps you missed that. Those that founded this nation would be "far right wing" individuals according to you. They had no use for democrats either and when they called someone a democrat it was akin to cussing them out. There is nothing wrong with doing away with the insanity that has been fostered by the leftists of this country. No you are absolutely wrong in your assessment and apparently you are not aware of the reality of the history of this country either. The truth is if we wander too far away from our roots this nation will die. This is easily evidenced by our runaway government, the lack of real education in all of academia here in the USA, the overall degradation of society via entitlements and hand outs from this government which have been stolen from the productive members of this society, etc. No you are dead wrong and your anger come forth in your post as well as your ignorance. I have lost track of the number of times I have told Assuered that the US is a Repbulic. She never even responds to that and just keeps right on going with the assumpion that we are a Democracy never mind that fact tyhat Democracys ALWAY ALWAY self disturct. -
Why It’s Time for the Tea Party
sue244 replied to WorthyNewsBot's topic in Most Interesting News Developments
The problem is they are going after the wrong people. Oh Obama has spun a nice web about how evil insurance companies are but I have yet to hear anyone talk about pharmacutical company and that is where the overspending and gross profit margins really are. But I have a feeling if you looked at the donar list for Obama or the DNC that pharmacuticals are high up on the list. The Democrats show time and time again how easily they can be bought off. Another reason why we need the Tea Party, keep both parties in check, so that they arn't being bought off. -

You can spin it however you want but its still a cut Assured. And it is affecting the care people are getting. Nursing homes have been underfunded for years and to cut that even more makes them even worse places for elderly people to be. Not to mention that in this economy it is also costing jobs. Nursing used to be a good proffession to get into but with all the cuts there are no jobs and the people that do keep their jobs are having to take paycuts. -
Why It’s Time for the Tea Party
sue244 replied to WorthyNewsBot's topic in Most Interesting News Developments
That would be a matter of opinion. Arguably it may have started out as a grass roots movement, but the important thing is that it isn't ending up that way. What is good for Mr. Koch won't necessarily be good for people of more modest means. I'm sure he would love to get rid of Social Security, for example, because he doesn't need it. So as a voter I would be extremely cautious. You are making it sound as if this man has taken over the Tea Party? That seems highly unlikely. He is just one of many who have put their weight into the field. And frankly, I think you should be more concerned about the Occupy Wallstreet and who is in charge of the money for that right now. (Not to divert the topic, but to give a perspective comparison.) I am glad you are bringing up this point, sue, because it gives me an opportunity to clarify this a little more. I do not see a progressive version of ALEC (American Legislative Exchange Council) making cookie-cutter laws all over the country that are doing the exact same thing, everywhere. If I did, I certainly would look at who is funding it. That's why I am urging people to take another look at the Tea Party - because legislators are beholden to people who expect them to cut Social Security and Medicare. Vote for these people or keep them in Congress, and you are likely to regret it unless you are independently wealthy and plan to live on your investments and not work for a paycheck. Seriously - it will get very bad very quickly, and people will be saying, "That Republican presidential candidate seemed like such a nice guy!" Who cares if people wouldn't want to have President Obama over for dinner? At least he won't cut their Social Security and Medicare! You don't have to like the President - you just have to trust him to do the right thing. The Tea Party rhetoric rings hollow for me, and I say this as a former Republican. (Former because I don't trust these rich people who want to create a flat income tax.) I hate to break it to you Assured but President Obama DID cut medicare with his Obama Care legislation. I know becuase my moms entire job is to do the paper work requiered for the nursing home so they can get paid. And the hospital in my town closed down 2 floors and cut 30 nurses on Oct. 1st because of the Cuts to medicare. We really need to get past the point where just because someone says there is a problem with the system, both medicare and SS, which there is, that it means they want to fix it. The longer the Democrats villify anyone that wants to fix the system the more out of wack its going to get and the harder it is to fix. I have already resigned myself to the fact that I will never see a Dime of anything I'm paying into Medicare of SS because I don't think the governement is ever going to fix the problem that it created. -

I love this post. I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thinks that "moderates" are wishy washy. Although I don't think Assured is a moderate, not considering she gives a pass to all things on the left while condeming all things on the right. Just like you noticed that she never mention all the money behind Occupy. Having been to sevearl Tea Party I can assure you they are grass root. The only proffesionally made "sign" I saw was the Don't Tread on Me Flag, The rest were handwritten signs and it was made up of people I knew from all over the community that just wanted to make their voices heard in a constructive leagal way. -
Why It’s Time for the Tea Party
sue244 replied to WorthyNewsBot's topic in Most Interesting News Developments
Sorry sue - I need to be more specific. Newt Gingrich shut the government down when he was Speaker of the House in the 1990's. There wasn't just the threat of a government shutdown - the government actually shut down! He lost his seat and the Republicans lost their majority in the House, and it ended Newt's political career. What's scary about the Tea Party, though is that they are to the right of Newt Gingrich. That's a dangerous place to be, when we see how unpopular Newt Gingrich became. Yes i remember the governement shut down. And amazingly we all lived throught it. Looking at it from a historical point of view it could be spun either way, either Clinton for not signing the budget or Congress for not giving into the spending demands of the Clinton. They were both playing a political game of chicken and in this instance neither one flinched. I thought you liked politicians that played politics? You seem to defend it when its on your side of the isle. -

Yes I will admit that Assured has told me that she voted a Republican, although, I think she knows this, I don't consider her a moderate espcially given the websites she likes to post from, they are all extream left wing blogs. I'm still not sure why she shifted radically to the left. Nor am I sure what stunt she is refering to with Newt. I was not old enought to vote back then and had yet to develope my insterest in politics. -

Thank you! Good to see you, too. Yes, we agree that the Tea Party isn't a 3rd party, but the far right wing of the Republican Party. Yes the Tea Party is the only ones keeping the RINOS in check. They only seem far right because the Republican have moved to the left since Reagan. -

they can cry all they want about all the things they want to change but until they get a unified message, and a coherent plan for how to change things in America they are going to be looked at as a bunch of spoiled kids throwing a temper tantrum because they went to school for some pointless degree racked up a huge debt and now don't want to pay for it.

I think that the first real storm of the winter will send all these kids having their temper tantrum home to their nice warm beds. I don't expect them to be around comd the first of the year.
