The first responder was most correct. IT refers to the AD 70 Tribulation. It is a Jewish nation. That is what it was created to be and that is its inherent character. Israel allows freedom of religion, speech to everyone, much the same way we do in the US. It is one of Israel's most attractive qualities. Israel even extends charity to their neighbors that hate them. Israel did not pattern itself after the United States. Except here in Canada there is a law that was passed that prevents us from speaking out against homosexual marriage or homosexuality, period, which has made it prosecutable to do so.
