yet if she spouted some anti-christian diabtribe or that she is a fornicator. salon would cheer. go figure.
-
That was cited in the Salon article referenced above. I see the point; don't necessarily agree or disagree. As a reporter, I never used stuff like that in stories. It was like "I want to thank my Mom" or "my teammates did a great job". Just standard opening-line ice breaker. You courtesously wait for them to say it and then move on to what you want to ask. The only time I've referenced faith in a story is when I'm doing a profile of a certain person and it's obvious it's a big deal to them. Like a story I did years ago on an athlete who claimed to have been healed of a serious illness at a church camp. The catch is this.... no one ever interviews the losers about their faith. We never read or hear "I would have won, but God for the other gal" or "Glory to God I finished last." We got a couple of more God references in interviews from the US track hurdlers on Tuesday night. That's fine. I realize a lot of people --- from athletes to politicians to whomever --- faith is the most important part of their lives. That's fine. Doesn't really change my opinion one way or another. read what charles haddon spurgeon says about sickness and he THANKED GOD for it as it caused him to learn more about god.

yes but well though its fading quickly one still can see the old christian heritage in the military with its older ucmj regs some of it remains, but its hard to enforce and its selectively done. ie fornication in centcom controlled areas is punishable and so is adultery. but this has been amended lately with the repeal of the dadt.

WN: U.S. command: Three American troops have been shot dead by man we
jasoncran replied to WorthyNewsBot's topic in U.S. News
Oh please... The Russian army made all kinds of mistakes we haven't made and we have been far more successful in Afghanistan than they ever were. We have lost few troops and we didn't have our officers riding out in the open in jeeps like they did. The Russians didn't count on us being smarter and having a far better military strategy than they did. Our record is also better than theirs. When the Russians were in Afghanistan just 1 million to 2 million Afghan civilians were either killed and half of their population was killed or displaced during the nine years they were in Afghanistan In the same period of nine years of American presence only about 14,000 Afghan civilians were killed. And many of those were killed by the Taliban. The Taliban shares the blame for a significant number of civilian losses (CNN and NBC failed to report that). Source: Not only that , but the Soviets lost had over 35,000 total casualties and over 13,000 fatalities. According to the NY Times. The US has only had around 1,900 fatalities and only 16,000 or so wounded. We have had better strategies and better trained troops, not mention better weapons as well. actually on weapons we USE russian weapons. i had pics of full operational soviet tanks and guns that no modern truck could stand. afghanistan wasnt really a victory for the mujahadeen. imagine if we were invaded and we kicked the russians out. but in the process most of american is arid whereas it wasnt before and most of the wells are poisoned. that is what the russians did. but you are correct we arent there to form an empire. i have been there.we dont make them follow our laws or even love us. we try to convince them and teach them and assist them in forming a functioning goverment and society. but kindly ensure the eu isnt doing the same thing with empire building. cough lybia. -
i will vote for neither. i dont trust obama nor romney. i have posted a myraid of reasons why.

Why I No Longer Believe in the 7 years of Tribulation
jasoncran replied to joi's topic in Eschatology
if its seven then how can the "church" then be aware of the signs of the times, why would jesus warn a church that isnt going to be in said trib? if said trib was there then he cant remove them with time frame of seven years as it has a start and and and end. -

nebula such strong words! the pro-murderers might not like that. -
that is because they dont likely patrol the walls or fences. if they did that in afghanistan they would have gun shots and been dragged to a site to be examined then buried. protest all you want but lets not break the law.im sure the hippy friend of mine would be made if i or any christian broke into planned parenthood and leveled the building with a torch or also such like

i have noticed that. of course the media in general tell us only what they and the goverment want us to know -
@parker, idiots. if one knows anything about their local goverment most of its funded locally and by the state. i disagree with education but that is another topic.

i saw that when obama won in 2008.

he judged isreal. so how does hell exist yet theres no final judgement until after the millenium? so when jesus returns how will annais see him with his eyes coming the clouds if the judgment isnt till after the millenium. hell is like sheol thus a grave its not some anything like the lake yet. the sea and hell(grave) hasnt given up the dead yet and none are cast into the fiery lake of gehanna. so how it is possible a long dead man would know that?

Jews brought this story with the garden of Eden from the Babylonian captivity and changed it. It was part of the Elumna Elisch which is also a part of the Gilgamesch epic poem. The woman was the first person in it. The complete genesis dates from this "heathen" source. To say, that God was the first matchmake; it is a joke, also that a marriage may be entered into only between different sexes. The marriage has become a state institution. Only the state decides who may get married. If God also gives his blessing, it beautiful, but is not necessary, however, to be appreciated by the state. do tell, if that is the case then why does jesus quote a lie? the torah was around before that and it was never altered if it was then we trust jesus as he cant save his word nor could have save men.right theres nothing called zohar that is what you kinda alluded too and that is a talmudic tradition after christ not before.

so you are for letting the druggies die for the habits. no treatments? if they get sick from that habit let em die? really. human traffick comes from mexico as well. so i guess we should stop bothering with that too as well. people want it anyway well lets not enforce that.i have never seen a truly user who didnt steal to feed that habit. like a user will be responsible and work to feed that hard habit. he wont. it is happening in portugal. crimes are commited by addicts http://www.algarveresident.com/4016-27403/algarve/addicts-blamed-for-crime-in-albufeira so why do you think that a user would be responsible? they wont.

I've been seeing numbers around the 40% mark of people who have tried marijuana at least once. Of course it's also hard to say who uses on a more frequent basis since it's... you know illegal. However some interesting info about alcohol & marijuana can be found here: http://bjs.ojp.usdoj...ent/dcf/duc.cfm When you look at violent crimes and the perceptions of victims, it seems like alcohol is a lot more responsible for violence & things of that sort. I really do think that marijuana has a stigma that it doesn't really warrant - it isn't good for you but I really don't think it destroys someone's life as much as other drugs, or even alcohol. i do. if i feel like i will show you how it has harmed my step child that lives with and her view of men based on her mothers bad decisions if they want legal then let them also who smoke pay for any health issue. im tired of being taxed for others bad behaviors. get cancer from your stupidity then live with that decision and die. i dont blame the weight that i have gained on the items i eat but the fact the im eating too much or poorly. the man who ate that other mans face had thcs in his system. yes i know all about violent crimes and alcohol. im an mp and have been trained in what is linked to that drug.its also mainly due to stubborness that i dont bother with pushing it to be illegal. but it wouldnt bother me if it was. i dont drink, smoke. but what part of my bil can function dont you get or you dont mind paying higher taxes because of men and women like him who can pay for healthcare but wont so that they can get high. he had the money to get his hernia fixed and waiting till he couldnt get out bed and it cost him 5k verses 1.5 to get that hernia repaired. he could have died. nice guy works hard but once again we should encourage healthy habits not vices. gambling yeah thats a good idea. out of all that money that is made much of is spent on the addicts to rehab them and also fight the crime that it causes. i have heard that is also(legal mj) that is also a problem as growers move in and do it illegally and the county not the state is paying to go after them. so many a counties have said no to allowing medical marijuana in their counties. you can smoke it in your home but we wont allow and thus are dry county. funny aint it.that is michigan. the lotto another brilliant idea. targets the poor. ironic lets help the poor and then fool them into thinking that the lotto is their way out if they win.

And it being illegal has stopped them from smoking it....... neither does regualion of any business stop them from doing wrong. why have laws then if people are going to just break them. the 14th amendment didnt stop slavery at all. it just went into the forms we have today. illegal immigration and also child sex slaverery. its nothing new just the media doesnt do much reporting on it. yet its larger then we think. do hate crimes make people love each other? No, does penal codes against rape and murder stop them. NO.

few and far between. lets say many of potheads i speak of are in my family. bro was and my wife has alot. her brother smokes that so much that well he could have likely afforded a house and not be in a trailer and works and races. he also has NO health care. yet smokes enough to pay for it all easily. sorry no sell my uncle also smoked and says pot and nicotine have contributed to his copd.
