  1. But in the UK media, sex with children, which is against the law, is given absolute condemnation, yet no-one seems to be bothered that a leading lgbt campaigner advocated sex with children as young as 9 as joyful for all, providing it was the child's choice. LGBT is the new kid on the block, society is obsessed with having it celebrated as normal and all else makes way for it. But my prophetic is this. God's people always remain set apart from the world. The challenge we face as outlined in the NT is false teaching. We can expect people might celebrate abominations, we are not however to expect believers to. At present in the UK and US epecially in the Anglican Communion we have clergy calling believers homophobic. These people need to be corrected or expelled.
  2. Yes I think we are. Nothing new really, just people acting out the same scenarios the Bible describes whilst being oblivious to them.
  3. Amen. Sometimes no opposition means God's rule and reign is not much present.
  4. Can I suggest that is what counts and that is your confession of faith and truth. Praise God. God looks at the heart. So then you are just like, and no different from every other believer. We must not beat ourselves up if we fall short. Only those who dont recognise the truth or are legalsitic want to focus on whether people commit sin. The battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the denial of the truth.
  5. One of the arguments against the account of Sodom in Genesis 19 is that all the men of Sodom both young and old surrounded the house, how could all the men except Lot and his family want sex with men? A decade ago this wouldnt have happened, now it has been normalised in a degenerating society lots of people are attracted by it. Now homosexuality is being taught as normal in school, along with promiscuity, it wont be long before it will be seen as normal for anyone to experiment with sex with the opposite and same sex, and even at some point be normal for men to want sex with men or women, whoever is available. Of course supporters of homosexuality deny this could ever happen, but listen to this... A leading lgbt advocate apparently wrote this in 2007 in the UK Guardian newspaper. “The positive nature of some child-adult relations is not confined to non-Western cultures. Several of my friends – gay and straight, male and female – had sex with adults from the ages of 9 to 13. None feel they were abused. All say it was their conscious choice and gave them great joy. While it may be impossible to condone paedophilia, it is time society acknowledged the truth that not all sex involving children is unwanted, abusive and harmful.” So whilst the lgbt supporters object to homosexuality being compared to paedophilia they are busy working at changing the definition of paedophilia as well. Few a decade ago would possibly believe mariage could change, few can imagine paedophilia will not be acceptable in another decade. You can listen to some homosexuals who are still aware of the arguments, but sadly many including the UK PM and the US president seem to have lost touch with reality. However it is a spiritual blindness. Exciting times. Lets be bold, pray and speak in love; there is a better way, not everyone will yet say 'get out of our way or we will treat you worse'
  6. Its a good question but God is working with signs and wonders, much more in countries of the world where people are more open to belief, Jesus couldnt do as many miracles where there was no faith. But where we do see some and the media hears of it it usually attracts the serious unbelievers like bees to a honeypot to create the right atmosphere of denial and unbelief. Think about it, there are plenty of the medical profession who attribute miracles but which they cant really record or would be unwise to attribut to God.
  7. Very good point. !!!! However some elements of western society are making things up as they go along.
  8. The problem we have is that the world can no longer distinguish reality from unreality. Both article 9 of the European Human Rights and article 16 of the UN Declaration of Human Rights affirm the right of man and woman to marry and found a family. (Thus same sex coupling is excluded) Even the European court has told David Cameron the UK PM that 'gay marriage' is not a right, and despite Cameron having said it was he is still determined to force legisaltion for it on the basis of equal rights. If these people wanted the earth to be flat you couldn't convince them otherwise.
  9. Yeah. But it's only as valid as people's willingness to go along. This isn't new. Back in first-century Jerusalem, authorities told the apostles not to speak in the name of Jesus. They basically told the authorities to stick it. Yes. They didnt listen to the authroities, they listened to the Holy Spirit. That mean't that for example Paul and Silas continued to preach and got beaten up and put into prison where they were able to reach the jailer and his family. But they were treated contrary to Roman law, her we have people trying to enforce human rights contrary to what human right say. One cant reason with unreasonable people, a blind man cannot see what he is being shown.
  10. Good. gay rights are against human rights. Artcile 18 UN Declaration of Human Rights.
  11. well spotted. What was his reaction? Mine would be I have been a citizen for decades and paid taxes so under the Human Rights Act article 18 I am free to .. "either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance" I would have said the person who is making the statement, Major John Diggs isnt fit for purpose. These people need to be told
  12. I think the response to the chaplain is put up or get out. We are dealing with some people who are out of control. Read Judges 17, a levite visited Micah who decided that because he was a levite he should be a priest so they set up some idols and thought God would be pleased with them. In those days Israel had no king and they did as they saw fit, what was right in their own eyes.
  13. Well iI would like to see us put the teachings of Jesus Christ up as well. The spirits and dark forces that we battle against are the sort of thing like the head of the lgbt group Stonewall said about an MP who is a Christian..."would be highly regrettable if someone who continued to hold these views held any significant office in government." They dont want freedom of speech, and they want it in the name of tolerance and equality.
  14. Well there is plenty of trouble still in Libya, and Syria, and Egypt was the shining example of the so called Arab Spring. I am sure the Muslim Brotherhood is not what the liberal media was expecting, or indeed would see as a spring. ... more like a return to winter. Even now the rebels which are being portrayed as the good guys in Syria include Al Qaeda elements.
  15. Yes that is what is happening and the intention. The point is I hear these people say the US recognises gay marriage, yet only 6 states do, the majority do not. I see the PM of the UK will vote for gay marriage legisaltion despite it not being a manifesto issue, more of his supporters leaving the party over his stance than on any other issue, up to half the homosexual community indiferent abot it. I see gay singers and straight liberals wanting the RC cardinal imprisoned for saying same sex relations are wrong on the basis of hate speech, whilst at the same time calling the cardinal an idiot, whilst gay historians and gay political columnists disparoving of such an approach. I read today that the head of the Children's charity Barnados, formerly a Christian charity, is incensed by the suggestion that man and woman are the best as parents for a child. We have to remmeber that these people are spiirtually blind, and do not necesarily represent who they claim to. As far as the latter is concerned I am appalled that a head of a children's charity should be so ignorant. We need to speak up and let the peace return to us, let them burst their blood vessels in rage and anger.
  16. Hi Shiloh357, ah but not all, there are those with same sex attraction in the church who know it is wrong and not for it.
  17. Well if one wants free speech, as in freedom of expression then one can expect parents made to look stupid, images of murdered cops and same sex relationships seen as normal. The point is people are finding declining freedom for speaking out against such things. In fact society is losing touch with reality. The Stonewall LGBT member of the Equalities and Human Rights Commission in the UK objected to a Christian member joining. Remind me what equality means again. The UN Declaration of Human Rights protects the right of freedom of expression of religion Article 18. So in fact there is nothing more unequal, bigoted and contrary to human rights than the Uk Equalty and Human Rights Commission.
  18. The root of this has nothing to do with homosexuals, it is rampant unbelief and rebellion against God approaching the sort of venomous levels seen at Sodom (ie get out of our way or we will treat you worse) In the UK David Cameron and some Conservatives are determined to pass a law for 'gay marriage' even though it was not an election issue in the manifesto and the party organisation is warning more people are deserting the party over it than any other issue. The media is wheeling out for interview the head of the lgbt lobby group Stonewall at every opportunity. No sign of homosexuals who do not particularly want 'gay marriage' or who do not want association with Stonewall, like Times newspaper columnists. There are homosexual historians who do not support the accusational enflamatory approach on the subject by Stonewall or the secular atheists such as Richard Dawkins. Its not about homosexuals, its about a certain hatred of God and its determined to promote homosexual practice in every sphere of public life and silence all opposition. It does it by accusing those who speak against same sex partnerships as hating homosexuals; in the UK where there are civil partnerships half the homosexual community arent bothered about gay marriage.
  19. Romans 1-2 and 11-14 is very helpful. If we as Christians realise that we are both Gentiles and Jews, we will recognise that Christ Jesus is the same Messiah to the Jews as to the Gentiles. In fact it says to make the Jews jealous, Christ Jesus is their Messiah that we have faith in. Now the issue of the land and state is more complicated, polarised around extremes. But one cant rule out the land as having been promised to the Jews. The current state of Israel is mostly secular, but the Biblical testimony shows that God didnt abandon the people He made a covenant with even when they turned from Him in idolotry. NB. regarding rich08, nebula and xero's noted point about Galatians 3:26, the lgbt lobbies use any and every argument to defend homosexuality regardless of whether it has any logic or not. the scripture only deals with God's created order of man and woman to be in faithful union, men having sex with men is error so the concept of 'homosexuality' is also error, as is heterosexuality. .
  20. It is encouraging to hear the comments of fellow believers here. The huge swathes of converts across the world especially in Islamic countries such as Indonesia do not get fooled by the western media and their spokespeople the head of Stonewall who spin the idea that there are only a few churches and Christians left who oppose this perversion of same sex relations. This is not about homosexuals, in addition to a number of media people who identify as homosexual who are cautious about the message of groups like Stonewall a poll has come out recently that says about 50% of those who identify as homosexual do not particularly want same sex as marriage, nor do they necessarily think it should be. NO the problem is I have just seen the news in the UK where the Church of England has spoken out against same sex marriage and the News provides a debate between a 'christian' from Ekklesia and a Bible believing Christian. They seek to divide. It is time Bible believing Christians expelled false teachers from their midst and start loving them as pagans as the Bible says (1 Cor 5, Matt 18, 2 Peter 2, Jude 1) Enough of entertaining their cancer.
  21. Well there are scriptural references. Probably not good if it is being done to praise a performance, but yep sound good to me, I clap. NB the spirit is not the same as emotion, emotion may accompany the spirit but the two are different. Its a good test if one is hearing from God
  22. On the issue of homosexuality, this isnt about homosexuals at all. At all! Its about rebellion against God, even God hating. There are people who experience same sex attraction, homosexuals, who know its wrong and love God, there are also people who dont think its wrong and arent even homosexual. Cant post the link but there was a debate on BBC where a Christian and gay activist Peter Tatchell sat next to each other in an audiance and exchanged views, disagreeing but acknowledging the other had a right to express their views. Then Richard Dawkins objected to applause for the woman pointing out that Peter Tatchel is the product of a man and woman thus same sex relations not normal on anatomical grounds as bigoted. Richard Dawkins discounted views where the evidence didnt support them. This is strange as I am sure even a 12 year old knows the reality of people being conceived by man and woman. You see, there are homosexuals who acknowledge the right of free speech and the likes of atheists who arent even homosexual, who do not. Its not about homosexuals. There are also homosexual historians and journalists like David Starkey and Matthew Parris who are reasonable and warn about the likes of these atheists and the lgbt lobby groups. Next time one of these people shouts bigotry, point that out to them.
  23. Well the Bible records the land given by God to His people the Israelites/Jews, thats not Christian Zionism so much as Christian views. Remember the biggest challenge and objection to them having the land they occupy comes from people who follow Islam, and because Islam claims the land for Allah. Its not much different from OT times really, substitute Muslims for Midianites Romans 9-11 is very helpful.
  24. But there is no argument. Firstly "People have more important things to worry about than what sort of jewelry a co-worker is wearing. Where does it stop? T-shirts with messages, etc.? C'mon, people. " Is this true? The workers who wear the cross have a more important thing to think about, Jesus Christ, and the ones who want to stop them wearing the cross obviously do not have more imporatant things to think about. But it breaches human rights to prevent a worker from wearing the cross providing it isnt a danger with machinary etc. The UN Declaration of Human Rights article 18 protects freedom of religious expression. We have some people in authority who have lost the plot. In the name of equality, inequality is enforced, and in the name of Human Rights, Human rights are abused.
  25. As to worship.. I agree. As Jesus said, if we love Him we will seek to do what He said. As to Cain and Abel, I agree with ayin jade but I would go with 4,3 and 1. God has a right to do what He wants without humans judging Him. Following Adam and Eve we are all destined to perish, but with God's covenants subsequent to Cain and Abel, we can choose choose life or death. Its not that clear why one offering was accepted and the other not, but I dont want to think I can judge God. Besides the truth, way and life, the author of our faith is Jesus Christ and we are saved by faith in Him. I also agree with Taylor30
