I am 37, divorced, and live in South Texas. I've lived in other states, but Texas will always be Home Sweet home. Reading, cooking, traveling, photography, and doing arts and crafts are all big parts of my life.

Currently, I am a private, live in housekeeper/cook, semi companion/caregiver for a fiesty elderly gentleman.

For the past few months, I've been avoiding a job God has been showing me that needs to be done. I've thought of every excuse possible, have ignored what I've been told, have basicly been a rebelious brat..(Thankfully, God has patience with me) I've decided I can no longer fight this thing. So, with that said, my new project in life is to somehow open a soup kitchen in my little town. WHY ?

I live in a town of about 10-15,000 people. Most factory workers or farmers/ranchers or in some way connected with agriculture. We already have a food pantry, but they keep running out of food and having to close the doors and turn people away. The needs are too much for them to keep up with. I tried getting out of the whole soup kitchen deal by telling God i would just volunteer at the food pantry and help with food collections and such. Apparently, thats not going to happen...lol. Everytime I try, I wind up at a dead end. So, now, I am on a new mission, which is to discover the ins and outs of soup kitchens.

Writing is a passion of mine. I love to write about experiences I've been though in this life. Not all sunshine and roses, but all very worthwhile and I would not trade any of it. In the darkest hours, God shone brightly and the Love, Mercy and Grace of our Father shone on me, making no matter what I was going though special.
