OPPS, SORRY! :???: The author of the books that I mentioned is Kathy Herman. The series is called The Baxter Series, which includeTested by Fire, Day of Reckoning and the third, Vital Signs. Again, these are fiction / mysteries.

I have discovered a fairly new author which is excellent. For anyone interested in FICTION / MYSTERIES! I am reading the third in a series now called "Vital Signs". The first two books are "Tested by Fire" and "Day of Reckoning". Through terrible things that are happening in the little town of Baxter in these books, the author brings out salvation and the love of the Lord. Excellent writing!

My favorite books would have to be Piercing the Darkness and This Present Darkness by Frank Peretti. I love historical fiction, mystery, fiction and bios, and have read hundreds of novels. These two mentioned above are still my favorites and I have read them several times.

All I can say is THANK YOU, GEORGE! This squabbling is ridiculous, all the time, in many of the threads. I enjoy reading here once in awhile, but have pretty much quit, due to nonsense. I thank you, George, for having the site here, and we can learn from it. Thank you Xan, for the wonderful job you are doing! Just be thankful I am not a moderator here - much would be taken out lol. But then, am thankful I don't have those powers lol. Bascially folks, just keep the site informative, k? God bless.

Will have to check that out, some day when it is snowing or something and I am snowbound and can't get out of the house lol.
