  1. I am not an evangelist and not a gifted speaker and I really struggle to go up to people and share the gospel, because 99% of the time I'm looking at myself and are afraid that I might botch it up. You know what, so was Gideon of the Old Testament. He had doubts about his calling and he felt he was inadequate for the job, but God was patient with him and used him mightily. He realised his weakness and laid it before God and God took care of it. It is exactly when we feel utterly useless, inadequate and afraid to "blow it off" that we have to turn to our Heavenly Father and give our inadequacies to Him, because He alone is able. In our weakness He is strong so that He gets the glory. We are not called to save people, we can't! That's God's department and His alone. He chooses who He wants to save, because He can, because He is God. We just need to communicate the gospel faithfully and accurately in truth and in love. God will do the rest. It doesn't matter how skew you think it comes out, God will make it straight in the heart. My point is, I just want to encourage you not to beat yourself up about the whole situation. Just sow, God will grow We are so blessed with many Christian resources these days and God has given us awesome brains to use to equip ourselves with knowledge. We just have to pray that God will turn that head knowledge into heart knowledge through His Spirit in His perfect timing when that time comes to share His truth with others. Like John 14:25 says - "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you." Many of you that might be reading this probably knows of this resource already which I will HIGHLY recommend. It is the "Way of the Master" series sold by Livingwaters.com at this link. It helped me A LOT to share the gospel with ANYBODY. It is really practical and the best of all it's biblical. You can check out the first couple of episodes on Youtube as well, here. Here is a specific clip where Ray Comfort witnesses to a Hindu, Catholic and Muslim girl all at once, but I would recommend going through the series step by step first. I don't know if you live in the US, but if you do, count yourself blessed! It's really difficult to get hold of some of the great resources in my country. If I do, I get nailed by import taxes :/ Here is another great resource and it actually refers to Ron Rhodes book as posted above by ayin jade. Furthermore, if you want to get a bit more "technical" you can check out this link which tells you why the Bible is the divinely inspired, authoritative, trustworthy Word of God and the Quran is not. That is actually a great website with a lot of topics including the Muslim faith. The main thing is what I have learnt is not to get into a debate with these people. It is good to have an understanding of their religion, to ask questions and such and to really care, but stick to the basics and get to the point. More often than not we go off on a rabbit trail and we lose the plot. People need to understand that they have sinned against the God and what the consequences are of breaking His law, BUT also that He has provided A Way for them to be freed of judgement and eternal punishment - a Way to an eternal life and a living relationship with Him. I truly hope this will help you as it did me. You are more than welcome to PM me for more info
  2. Well, half of our worship team have tablets, that includes our pastor who leads the worship. It just minimizes / eliminates all the paper you have to carry around when you go to practice or during worship at church. Our pastor has his whole teaching on his tablet (though he does carry a paper copy for backup - technology you know ). So, basically there is no issues with using electronic wares in church as long as it's not disrupting. The (very) few people I've seen using their phones or tablets use it to access their bibles apps. I myself just use the Goodreader app to take notes during the study (all sounds off of course). It helps me concentrate by writing down or typing. I only use the Youversion Bible app to copy key verses to my created text doc and I read from my physical Bible. I don't know, it just seems / feels more "personal" than reading from an electronic screen.
