  1. Yes, but not very much, mainly weapons but no combat support. Israel still had no chance even with U.S. support. Many around the world believed that Israel was finished and would no longer be a nation. Remember that this was a war on three fronts. As a result of the war many Palestinians were displaced, mainly by the effects of the invading armies of Jordan, Syria and Egypt. Many Jews were persecuted after this and there were attacks on synagogues and Jewish communities throughout the Arab world.
  2. Hi, thank you. Can you give me some sources or sited where I can look into this at. I am aware of the verses, but also also aware of the the verse of "those who call themselves jews are of the synagogue of satan" I realize these verses were addressed to the churches but many believe the letters to the churches are applicable to us today. Thanks for any info I appreciate it. Try looking up the Parallel Bible, type in the Rev 2:7- and scroll to the commentators. Here are a couple the second I believe is Matthew Henry (actually I forget) Hope this helps. Rev 2:8-10 8 “And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write, ‘These things says the First and the Last, who was dead, and came to life: 9 “I know your works, tribulation, and poverty (but you are rich); and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. 10 Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. Answers 1. The meaning here is plain, that though they worshipped in a synagogue, and professed to be the worshippers of God, yet they were not worthy of the name, and deserved rather to be regarded as in the service of Satan. 2. The blasphemy of them which say they are Jews - There were persons there who professed Judaism, and had a synagogue in the place, and professed to worship the true God; but they had no genuine religion, and they served the devil rather than God. They applied a sacred name to an unholy thing: and this is one meaning of the word blasphemy in this book. There are many who claim to be Jews but are not. There are many Jews in Israel and in the U.S.A. who are Jews in name only but not in belief. Modern Israel is not without her share of guilt. It is by and large a secular nation and many so-called Israeli Jews are actually Atheists, but nevertheless many of them will be the bloodline descendants of David even if they do not know it themselves. Israel is protected by God because the nation has a purpose in the salvation of the World. They have yet to turn back to God but will do so when the Lord delivers them from their enemies. Not only will the Israelis then remember who their God is but many others around the World will also. I think that the Gog-Magog war described in Ezekiel may be one such example. And so I will show my greatness and my holiness, and I will make myself known in the sight of many nations, then they will know that I am the Lord Ezekiel 38: 23 Read Psalm 83 also, as a description of how the Lord makes himself known and proves that he is the real McCoy and not the other false gods that people have turned to.
  3. These offer more info: http://www.therefinersfire.org/recent_prophecy.htm http://www.hoshuha.com/blog/israel_drought.html I haven't read all of the above in detail and may not agree with other opinions that they may have, so I apologise in advance, but they are interesting if we stick with the subject..... as for the Israeli rainfall records I'm sure that it would be easy to find out if someone has the patience to check them all out.

  5. I believe that the modern state of Israel is indeed the true Israel. All this talk, that the Israelis of today are not 'real' Jews but imposters is not backed by historical or scriptural evidence. If anyone believe this to be the case then how do you explain the following: When the Jews were scattered from the land, it was promised to them by God that one day they would return. I believe that this prophecy was fulfilled in the period after 1948 when Israel was reformed and later when Jerusalem came back into possession of the Israelis in 1967. If you believe that these modern Israelis are 'usurpers' who are not the Jews of prophecy then you must be able to debate the following two points: 1/ Despite being the most threatened nation in the World today, Israel survives. The six-day war was nothing short of a miracle. The Israelis should not have, and could not have won that war without help from the Almighty. Even modern army officer training schools in the U.S.A. refuse to study the logistics and strategies of the Six-Day War as they do not like to teach 'flukes' or 'miracles'. 2/ Despite the land of Israel being occupied by a number of empires / invaders over the best part of the last two millennia it remained little more than a wilderness. No matter who owned it and when they owned it, it remained a useless piece of real estate and was of little value to the occupiers apart from a few small communities. If the Jews didn't own it then it then God prevented it from reaching it's full potential. Neither the Muslims nor later the British whilst it was under their Mandate of Palestine could do much with it. The author Mark Twain travelled to this region in 1867 Here is the quote from him about that journey: "a desolate country whose soil is rich enough, but is given over wholly to weeds-a silent mournful expanse....A desolation is here that not even imagination can grace with the pomp of life and action....We never saw a human being on the whole route....There was hardly a tree or a shrub anywhere. Even the olive and the cactus, those fast friends of the worthless soil, had almost deserted the country.” How does that sound like a promised land? This quote is from the book, the Innocent's Abroad published in 1869. Twain goes on to say: "Palestine is desolate and unlovely. And why should it be otherwise? Can the curse of the Deity beautify a land? " Now consider what is said in Ezekiel Chapters 36 and 37 (probably best to read these chapters in full) about the rebirth of Israel and how the people will make it blossom again. In just a few short years the modern Israelis did indeed transform the wilderness into arable land, well irrigated and blooming, full of fruit orchards and fields of crops. It was seen as a techological miracle at the time. Why would God allow these people to do what other people before them could not manage if they were nothing but impostors? Why would God protect modern Israel from destruction if it was not the real nation of Israel? Consider what Israel is today, a modern bustling nation of cities, fertile land and orange groves. It has an advanced economy and the Israelis are one of the leading innovators in World technology. Only the Jews could do this, because only the Jews are permitted by God to do so.
  6. I am aware that God gives us signs in the heavens but I'm also aware that you can interpret just about anything you want by looking upwards. This could well be just another false prophecy from a false prophet. As far as I am aware, Aries is based on Egyptian fertility rites, later adopted and adapted by the Greeks and is nothing to do with the Lamb of God. It's just a coincidence that the same animal is used. I would ignore this and stick to scripture. There's a fine line between looking skywards to see signs that God has given us and delving into the dark world of astrology. I personally don't take much notice of signs in the heavens. I think that if God gives us them they will be a lot more obvious than this and would also be backed up by other scriptural evidence.

  8. It appears to me that behind all anti-Semitism lies great evil. The Nazis in the 1930s and 1940s and the false religion of Islam are both notorius examples. If the Jews are eliminated and Israel is destroyed then Satan will have proven God to be a liar as he will have broken his promises. Of course, this is not going to happen but evil forces will continue to try. The latest wave of anti-Semitism is only to be expected as we are nearing the end times and the once Christian Western nations have fallen away from worship of the true Lord and have become bastions of Atheism or New-Age beliefs. Once you abandon God you are susceptible to the lies that are spread by people that are under the influence of darker forces. Satan is the father of lies and deceit is the method that he choses to vilify the Jewish race. Many have fallen for these lies. The Jews are being blamed for many things and Israel is portrayed as an evil apartheid state. Jew persecution is on the rise again throughout Europe, and Muslim nations are threatening to destroy Israel. The Jews are the key to the salvation of all mankind and Jesus shall return through them. The welfare of the Jews and the nation of Israel should be important to each and every Christian.
  9. I have always believed it to be two different wars. The details just don't match up otherwise. It says in Ezekiel 39:9 that the people of Israel will use the weapons of the defeated armies as fuel for seven years. This seven years may well be the seven years of the tribulation, but even if not then it makes no sense to be seven years after the millennial reign of Christ. The Gog and Magog of Ezekial appear to be Iran, Libya, Ethiopia (which traditionally was geographically more akin to modern Sudan than to present day Ethiopia) and possibly Turkey, some of the 'Stans' (Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and so on..) and maybe Syria. Rosh is seen by many as being Russia, but this may not be the case. All of these countries are predominantly Islamic. Even Russia which although it is not ruled by Muslims at the moment could well be in the near future as it is said that over 50% of current Russian Army recruits are Muslim. Whoever controls the armed forces could very well end up controlling the country! I'm guessing that seeing as the Iranian regime recently wanted to wipe Israel 'off the map' and seeing as fundamentalist Muslims want to destroy Israel and reclaim Jerusalem then they are good candidates for being the invaders of Ezekiel's Gog, Magog war.
  10. Yes, I believe that the new Pope will be one to watch very closely.
