  1. I like posts that get to the point too. Football feild posts I skim. Have no desire whatsoever to read them. None, unless the are filled with knowledge.
  2. How would you explain what a peacemaker is?

If you study revelations, people also get saved during the tribulation, that is only if there was a rapture. I will look up scripture tomorrow. Otherwise it is talking about the saints who go thru it.

As for 1 Chorinthians 15:50-54 It says death is swallowed up in victory. That won't happen until the end. The Thes. scripture doesn't prove when that will occur. Sorry. :/
  5. After typing it out I thought when they turn to the Lord and God reveals Christ to them.
  6. But their minds were hardened; for until this very day at the reading of the old covenant the same veil remains unlifted, because it is removed in Christ. ...but whenever a person turns to the Lord the veil is taken away.' I would have thought the veil would be removed so they could see their need for the Lord, but why is the veil removed AFTER someone turns to the Lord? What are they seeing after turning to the Lord not seen before?

If you really believe this, your emoticon should be Care to back this up with scripture? Nobody ever has any.
  8. Why would it be otherwise? His Kingdom is not here, yet! Luke 22:13-22 13 And they went, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover. 14 And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him. 15 And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer: 16 For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God. 17 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves: 18 For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come. 19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. 20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you. 21 But, behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me is with me on the table. 22 And truly the Son of man goeth, as it was determined: but woe unto that man by whom he is betrayed! KJV Luke 19:11-28 11 And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear. 12 He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return. 13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come. 14 But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us. 15 And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading. 16 Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds. 17 And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities. 18 And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds. 19 And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities. 20 And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin: 21 For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that thou layedst not down, and reapest that thou didst not sow. 22 And he saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up that I laid not down, and reaping that I did not sow: 23 Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required mine own with usury? 24 And he said unto them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and give it to him that hath ten pounds. 25 (And they said unto him, Lord, he hath ten pounds.) 26 For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath shall be given; and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him. 27 But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me. 28 And when he had thus spoken, he went before, ascending up to Jerusalem. KJV Acts 1:6-11 6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? 7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. 9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. 10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; 11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. KJV His Kingdom is not here, yet! It won’t be back until the KING HIMSELF comes back! Oops. I accidentally liked this post.
  9. 'But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, then the Kingdom of God has come upon you. ' Matthew12:28. 'Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. ' Matthew 6:10 'Repent, for the kingdom of heaven IS AT HAND.' Matthew 3:2 (Said John the baptist as he was preparing the way for Jesus.)
  10. I do not believe you are correct in the above post. He's talking about past present and future. Until the final judgdment basically.
  11. I deleted my post.
  12. The last part when Paul says he was filling up in what was lacking in Christ's afflictions. That was really my main point of the question. __your closest friendt__ seems to have something to say regarding that.
  13. 'Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I do my share on behalf of His body, which is the church, in filling up what is lacking in Christ's afflictions.' Especially that last part. 'In filling up what is lacking in Christ's afflictions.' What is he talking about?
  14. Nice to also see closestfriendnt and Marilyn exhorting one another. Good reminder for us all.
  15. Right, and Paul only wrote about what he knew. Not what he didn't.
  16. So then are you saying that everything written in the bible, every parable, will have something else in scripture somewhere, to coraborate it?
  17. Well God took Enoch somewhere. 'God took him...' So why wouldn't have been somewhere in Heaven, we don't even know how big heaven is, the different areas. We are really quite in the dark about it. So clearly, Enoch was the first to go to at least some area in heaven. I don't understand this paradise thing being separate, because it talks about heaven and earth passing away, a new heaven and earth, but never mentions anything about paradise. I know the Apostle Paul said he was caught up to paradise, the third heaven. The third heaven being where God is.
  18. Neither do we create a false dichotomy. It is Christ who elevated the Law to a higher plane, and thus it is now the Law of Christ, and that is what is found in the Gospels and the epistles. Every teaching of Christ pertaining to the Law ultimately leads to the Law of Christ. Therefore you do NOT exalt Christ by denying this Bible truth: Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. (Galatians 6:2). Marilyn, as I said some time back, it is better to remain silent than to misinterpret Scripture and possibly cause someone to stumble or lead them astray. We will be judged by every word we say or write, as George pointed out recently. Matthew chapters 5 & 6 are an integral part of the Law of Christ, and if you wish to dispute that, you have a dispute with the Lord Himself. Now that is an interesting subject, about being careful about what we say. I had often thought in here, this is more of a discussion, not where someone should come in here and take for gospel truth the meaning of what everyone says. Since this is not a formal forum for teachers, in which people would more seriously heed what we are saying, but a place to take in the views and probably the one who asked the question, as in my experience anyway, would come across that post where what seems like the right answer just clicks. If many are even bothering to read this anymore, how about agreeing with what I am saying, if this has been your experience also? And belief on the matter. Mostly I like to discuss the bible, since I do not get to do it much in person. Which is why I often don't just go and do these Internet searches anymore unless nobody comes up with something that clicks for me. As God did not give anyone person or teacher out there ALL the answers. Some have a whole lot more of understanding, yes, but God does not give someone ALL the answers.
  19. I was not serious when I said 'cannot the angels do their job adequately?'
  20. I'm going to rewrite later, so I changed this post.
  21. Ok, I am not going to quote the previous enormous quotes of past posts. So, since I started this post, I do want to say, that I disagree with *retrotryber* about saying it is only the end of the age because how can people live that long. I see it as God constantly throughout the ages having the tares uprooted. The sons of the evil one have been around since the beginning, and well, they don't live that long, but grow together with the righteous, die, and new generations pop up. So I really do not understand where you are coming from. Perhaps you would like to explain more detail.
  22. It really doesn't settle anything because that says God doesn't even know who will become His. So thetefore, His angels will know when the time is right, because He will show them. Plus, in the spiritual world, we look alive with the Holy Sirit, and they can see that, so can the enemy. So angels would know. So therefore, the ones that have not come to the Lord yet, do not look that way, so since the angels are not all knowing, they do not, unless the Lord puts a marker on them. This is why I was thinking that it was perhaps because those people that were going to come to the Lord later, would be uprooted accidentally. Plus, I have heard the explanation before that they 'may become wheat', and really so far it is the only thing that fits.
  23. Thankyou for that. Now to picture the wicked being uprooted, how then I guess would the righteous be uprooted. How so would it 'disturb' things here on earth. It might really be that not all believers become believers soon enough. As 'God desires all to be saved, and to come to the knowledge of the truth.' As we probably are aware that many people become believers on their natural death bed. Otherwise, they wouldn't have had a chance.
  24. Now, it clearly says, so they do not accidentally uproot the wheat also. So *Rick Parker*, don't get all hostile because I am going to request this thread be removed. It clearly says that. It's wonderful to all jumped over and judged when you have no idea who I am.
  25. I am shocked I was taken seriously on that. I guess I have to change my way of writing. Wow, I guess I need to be more vigilant on this phone when writing in here after all.
