I have heard just about all of these arguments.

No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. - John 6:44

No one can be convinced unless God draws him first.    These responses come from the sinful unredeemed nature of people outside of Christ.  Some of these responses are pretty nasty too.

Aggressiveness and incivility is pretty typical of the LGBT movement.

Not exactly; People defend what they have. Like all of us. There are various groups in that community and some of them aknowledging their beliefs they gather in their own Christian gathering and their own churches which you cannot judge. Because we are to encourage and not to forbid anyone to acknowlege what they believe. Even to acknowledge their faith in Jesus Christ.

Yes, the statement "instead of our evil pleasures" is just my words. It means if we weren't born again we would still be in our sin!

Concerning going to Church, you will not grow much in Christ (Eph 4:15; Rom 8:29; 2Co 3:18) if you're not in Church! Church fellowship with other Christians is the primary means God uses to teach us His mind and will. Many Christians stunt their growth in Christ by being out of Church; Christ's most important command is to love one another (Jhn 15:12). It's my understanding that one would need to be in a Church (Bible believing church, many putting the Word aside more or less) regularly to claim they love the saints. How else could it be done?

    Greetings @WordSword

There is a few issues for discussion in your post and there is one in your first paragraph. When you said "if we were not born again we will still be in our sin". That is not a complete statement because it does not say who said that and to whom it was told and the most important how could that be. That what the one who hears that statement expects to hear. If you please fill in the blanks as to know what you were thinking about how someone is not in his sin.

       *When Jesus said to the Jews at the time when the Sinai Covenant was still in effect and their sins were forgiven by the blood of the lamb of the Atonement and Jesus said that knowing that he will soon die on the Cross for the forgiveness of the sins of both Jews and Gentiles and some of the Jews will not believe in him and Jesus said to them in John 8: that if you do not believe in me you will die in your sins, and from the Gospel of John 16:8-9 NIV    8 When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment: 9 about sin, because people do not believe in me;

It encompasses both deeds and words. I especially agree that to do something 'in the name of the Lord' or 'in Jesus' name' is speaking of doing, or saying something, in or by His authority. For instance, when we pray 'in Jesus' name' it is not a magic phrase we tack on at the end of our prayers like 'abracadabra' then BOOM, God answers our prayers because we followed the formula. But rather we "come boldly to the throne of grace" Heb.4:16 because our High Priest Jesus, has already gone before us there, to sprinkle His own blood on the real mercy seat, and has given us the right and authority to approach our Holy God. Not on our merits, but by His. We pray in Jesus' name (authority), reminding ourselves of why we can come boldly. I am reminded of those who argued with Jesus in Matt. 7:21-23

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven :22  Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works :23  And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

They were claiming to speak or do in Jesus' name but were found as false prophets.

This then is one form of breaking the third commandment.

    Greetings PATrobas

The 3rd commandment it was not given to them from Jesus Christ. And because Jesus lived and spoke to people to those people who were under the Sinai Covenant and he said many things to them before his death, before the New Covenant and some of them were in reference to the New covenant and some were for them only who were under the Sinai Covenant. The person who blasphem against God was according to the Law cut off from the community of the people and God for the rest of his life. No repentance to reconciliation was available as it was one of the unforgiving sins under the Sinai Covenant. The Jews to be safe they never say or write the name of God and they refer to him as Adonai or Lord.

This is what Jesus said: every one who profanes the Son of Man or after his resurrection Jesus Christ will be forgiven and the same goes for God. And this why because Jesus said that he died for all sins but one sin the sin of not believing in Jesus Christ and God. It's simple when someone believes in God and has refused to believe in Jesus Christ he is also in the sin of unbelief. Because Jesus Christ died for the forgiveness of our sins or his sins. About the Holy Spirit it is besides the point because the Holy Spirit did not died and that's impossible for the forgiveness of our sins the same as God.

Just looking for opinions and clarity...

This is about them and at time who were under the Sinai Covenant and the enforcer of their Covenant who was the Lord God who was also the punisher of the violators. And his moto was codified in the Sinai Covenant an eye against an eye and so on...and on.

Nothing to do with the rest of the world at that time because God was not their God. And nothing to do with the Jews today and since 2000 years because we are in the New Covenant, the whole world including the Jews is under the authority of the New Covenant. They will all stand before the judgement seat of the Glorious Jesus Christ even everyone who Crusified him they will see Him in his Glory.   Jesus ratified the New Covenant with his blood when he died on the Cross and was punished for our sins. And his moto is love and turn the other chic. And it is against the principle of his justice that two different people to be punished for the same offense. And Jesus was ahead of everyone and he the inosent was punished for our sins and he knows that and his hands are tight he can only bless his children and he never punishes anyone not even the  unbeliever for his sins, as he is waiting for him to believe so he can forgive his sins. Which it is according to his  proclamation that God made him the propretiation for the sins of the whole world, to anyone who believes in him at that time when anyone believes in him. This is why he sent his disciples to preach forgiveness of sins in his name. In his blood. In the New testament which was ratified with his blood at the time of his death on the Cross.

It's been my understanding that the name of the Lord speaks of His power and His authority; this is a position we walk in and dwell within on earth. His bondservant never has to utter a single word to be found in His name. How are we in the name of the Lord, then? We walk in and dwell with the Spirit of the Lord on this earth.

I believe that this commandment refers specifically to those who declare that they come in the name of the Lord when they do not; they take His name in vain. I'm thinking that words alone are not covered by this commandment. Why? Matthew 12:31-32:

“Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven people, but blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven. And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come." (NASB)

It's for this reason that I don't think the 3rd commandment encompasses words.

The Pharisees wanted to kill Jesus for blasphemy and they said to Jesus that we do not want to kill you for the good  things you are doing when Jesus challenged them and asked them for which one of the good things I have done you plan to kill me. They said to him it is for what you say that God is your Father.

Hi and appreciate what you're saying! Maybe if you could bring out some particular Scriptures we might have something we can discuss.

Thank you I was looking at Philippians 2:13 "God works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure" (Phl 2:13),

(instead of our evil pleasures.) This is not part of the scripture and it us not polite to say "instead of evil pleasure". I do not accept this as an accurate statement and you are talking about believers. And even for unbelievers it is not an accurate statement because there unbelievers who are very kind people. Paul met some of them and he commented about them. And the people who seek to harm him were the people of the Sinai Covenant. The Gentiles offered him their hospitality. Paul would never say that, but now I understand that "God works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure" (Phl 2:13),

( instead of our evil pleasure) is not part of the scriptures.

As believers we can have our own way of life but that does not mean that our life is full of evil pleasure. No definitely not. To work and take care of your children is not an evil pleasure. Even if you do not go to church. Jesus said that we can worship him in spirit and in truth.  Not here or there and that too in the churches also no problem with that.

  7. When the little Lamb is born in the Shepherd's sheep fold they only know how to follow their mother and have learn to recognize their mother's voice without any problem from amongst the cacophony of all the voices of the sheep in the fold. This is no strange because we understand this from our own experience even if we do not see our mother we can recognize her voice. A blind person who can not see can recognize the voice of the person it trust.

Because the Lord let us trust the people around us who take care of us eventually will seek to make inroads in understanding his calling or his voice and he has to compete with many other voices which are trying to compete with him in that matter. So he has a difficult task to help us to know or to discern his voice or the way he is trying to let us know that it is him, and that takes time and it is not the same for everyone. And his method is not the same for everyone. We need to be patient in seeking that because it maybe happening but we cannot recognize it and in any case he can teach us to learn to recognize his voice and distinguish it from any other. He can teach and this is also by trial and error and even  confusing someone else voice for his but he can teach us to tell the difference and also learn to recognize the enemies voice who some times he is aproching us as the bearer of good news as the Angel of lights, even coming along us pretending and making us think it is the Holy Spirit during a Bible study. And the Holy Spirit can supply us or deposit spiritual gifts in our heart to help us know the difference.

  8. You are trying to say something but I don't like it because I do not see it clearly in scripture. If you make it simple perhaps I will see it in scripture and like it. Please make it digestible simple.

  9. @Marathoner

Greetings to you. This is a copy from my post perhaps you miss it. On the 7th line from the top of my post.

. I agree with what you said it was about the Serpent and not the other kind of snakes and not even about the actual Serpent it self but the Spiritual power which was at work.

and I continued to identify the identification of the spiritual power who fanifested it self as a Serpent. The High Priest in Egypt were worshiping that power and their emblem was the serpent and the Pharaoh skepter had the Serpent and their head gear had the Serpent. And their was emnity between the children of God and the children of the Serpent. And the dwel of the God's of Egypt with the God of Moses who were worshiping the power who  manifested as the Serpent. That was about a spiritual power in the Garden. That's the point it was about the spiritual power and about the one who was behind the spiritual power who had fallen from Heaven and the saying that he will eat the dust of the earth or crawl on the earth it is about a spiritual message and it was said at the right time after the fall of man. God promised to provide a Savior for man and a Heavenly Inheritance for the earthly man. But for the one behind the Serpent who had fallen from Heaven the judgment was he will remain on earth forever that He will be kick out from the Heavenly and be on the earth forever. That the man who was earthly will inherit Heaven- we understand that this is only for the believers but He who was Heavenly will forever be on earth. No plan of redemption for him.

Not sure what your point is, or the point of the quoted verse,  but . . . . . it is in my bible . . .

[Rom 1:25 KJV] [25] Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

    @Ray12614

    New International Version
They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

The apostle Paul WROTE Romans 1:25 to  summarize what he wrote about in verses 18-24. In those verses He wrote what he had witnessed in his travels through the idolatrous Gentile Nations who were worshiping the creation instead of the Creator. For that reason and within that context the verse 25 it must be in the plural form as in the NIV and the 98% versions of the Bible. Reading the first word of verse 25 the reader imediatly should understand that it is about some people as it should be in plural form as the verses directly above are referring to the Idolatrous Gentile Nations. But without knowing what the verses above say but only that is referring to some people and then reading that they worship the created things instead of the Creator it should from General knowledge understood that the "They" the first word in verse 25 applies to people of the Gentile Nations and the Romans are one of them. It was a direct attack to the Idolatrous Romans but Paul wrote it in a suggestive form not to offensive,  because Paul was in Rome but in any case he wrote this to Romans and perhaps to Roman believers or to believers of that time. Which was a true observation as Paul was an eye witness of the people worshiping the Created things instead of the Creator. That infamous last paragraph I referred to erroneously referred that the Romans 1:25 it makes reference to one and the first word "who" which can apply to a singular or plural and it can be made clear by what it follows. The last paragraph in that post erroneously said that Romans 1:25 is referring to a specific being who is not even a human being. And it said that that being was worshiping the created things than the Creator. Which is not the reason Paul WROTE this verse. Then it is true that Paul had the Gentile people in his reference and it was about them as he referred to them in the previous verses and his posting had nothing to do with that specific being who is not a human being. PAUL HAD THE GENTILE PEOPLE IN MIND. Paul did not referred to that specific being who is not a human being. Who is not in the context of Paul 's writing at all in that chapter from 18-24.

I said nor implied any such thing. Instead of criticizing and being judgmental of someone’s exegesis, would it not be better to ask for clarification, documentation, and explanation? Biblical scholars adapted 50 words I apply to my studies. Hermeneutics, the study of the methodological principles of interpretation (as of the Bible). Exegesis, to explain, interpret, from ex- + hēgeisthai to lead—more at seek] 1619: exposition, explanation especially: an explanation or critical interpretation of a text[1]

Since you expressly point out my last paragraph, rather than express my exegesis in my own words, I will cite some reputable sources for consideration:

It is too lengthy to delve into, but I believe Adam was or would have been a member of the Lord’s divine council. As kings and priests in Christ, we will rule and reign with Him, participate in the Lord’s divine council, and be members of it.”

The following is a snippet of my study notes that allude to the divine council and who participates in it (past, present, future).

Psalm 89:5–7 says, “The heavens praise your wonders, LORD, your faithfulness too, in the assembly of the holy ones. For who in the skies above can compare with the LORD? Who is like the LORD among the heavenly beings? In the council of the holy ones God is greatly feared; he is more awesome than all who surround him.” These verses present a divine council: heavenly beings referred to as “the council of the holy ones.” Psalm 82:1 also indicates that “God has taken his place in the divine council” (Psalm 82:1, ESV). The “divine council” is also called the “great assembly” (NIV), “heaven’s court” (NLT), and “His own congregation” (NASB).

This divine council could also be referenced in Nehemiah 9:6, which says, “You alone are the LORD; You have made heaven, The heaven of heavens, with all their host, The earth and everything on it, The seas and all that is in them, And You preserve them all. The host of heaven worships You” (NKJV). The “host” of the “heaven of heavens” are most likely angelic beings. God is the Lord of hosts (Psalm 24:10Isaiah 44:6). The God who presides in the heavenly council is sovereign over all, including the spiritual beings in His divine council.

Other passages of Scripture describe scenes that could be interpreted as a meeting of the divine council. In Job 1:6, a conclave is held in heaven: “One day the angels came to present themselves before the Lord.” In 1 Kings 22:19, the prophet Micaiah relates a vision: “I saw the Lord sitting on his throne with all the multitudes of heaven standing around him on his right and on his left.” Micaiah goes on to describe how the spiritual beings there suggested various means of accomplishing God’s will, and God chose one spirit to carry out the task. In Daniel 4:17, the angels present a decision made by the divine council: “This decision is by the decree of the watchers, and the sentence by the word of the holy ones, in order that the living may know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, gives it to whomever He will, and sets over it the lowest of men” (NKJV). The divine council was in God’s presence and was given the task of deciding Nebuchadnezzar’s judgment and communicating the verdict to Daniel in a dream.

God does not need a divine council to give Him ideas or to approve His decisions. He is the omniscient God Almighty. In His wisdom, God has created a divine council to stand in His presence and graciously allows them to participate in various judgments and decrees.

It is a wonder that God allows created beings to be privy to His ways and even have input in His plan. The divine council is privileged to participate in God’s plans, and, to an extent, so are we: “The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective” (James 5:16). And God chooses to use us as ministers of reconciliation in the sharing of the gospel: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” (Matthew 28:18–19; cf. 2 Corinthians 5:18).

2 Chr. 18:18-22 The divine council is also known as the heavenly host, the Sod, or the sons of God. The divine council of Yahweh is an assembly of divine, spiritual beings over which Yahweh, the One true God, presides. These beings participate in making decisions with Yahweh, execute these decisions in creation, and rule over creation on Yahweh’s behalf.

This term, although not found in the Bible, is best illustrated with reference to the famous prologue in Job 1–2, where “the sons of God” present themselves before the Lord. Heiser’s work has been lauded by such established evangelical scholars as Darrell L. Bock, John Goldingay, and Tremper Longman III. It has also received favorable reviews in Themelios, the Journal of the Evangelical Theological Society, and the Review of Biblical Literature. In his book, Heiser presents the divine council as an assembly of lesser divine figures, presided by a higher, supreme being.1

    Describing the Indescribable

In the distant past, God disinherited the nations of earth as his co-ruling family, the original Edenic design, choosing instead to create a new family from Abraham (Deut 32:8–9). The disinherited nations were put under the authority of lesser elohim, divine sons of God. When they became corrupt, they were sentenced to mortality (Psa 82:6–8). The Old Testament is basically a record of the long war between Yahweh and the gods, and between Yahweh’s children and the nations, to re-establish the original Edenic design.

The victory at Armageddon of the returning incarnate Yahweh over the Beast (antichrist) who directed the nations against Yahweh’s holy city is the event that topples the elohim from their thrones. It is the day of Yahweh, the time when all that is wicked is judged and when those who believe and overcome replace the disloyal sons of God. The kingdom is ready for full, earthly realization under a reconstituted divine council whose members include glorified believers. The full mass of believing humanity will experience a new Edenic world in a resurrected, celestial state.

What was ruined by the fall is restored—and made irreversible—by the incarnation of Yahweh, his atoning death, and his resurrection. But all that is relatively easy to talk about when compared to passages that deal with what comes last and remains forever.

How do you describe the indescribable? Paul grasped the problem clearly. I still like the King James Version of his sentiments for their rhythmic, almost lyrical quality:

Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him (1 Cor 2:9 kjv ).1

1 Heiser, M. S. (2015). The Unseen Realm: Recovering the Supernatural Worldview of the Bible (First Edition, p. 376). Lexham Press.

The maintenance of justice and righteousness is the foundation of the universe, the responsibility of the divine council, and the issue upon which hang both the stability of the universe and the stability and effective reality of the divine world.… It is against this background that one must look at one of the texts in which the council of Yahweh is most explicitly present, Psalm 82. It takes place entirely in the world of the gods, although what is clear from the story is that that world is totally ruled and controlled by the Lord. The psalm depicts a meeting of the “divine council” (v. 1) in which God rises and pronounces judgment on the gods. The reason for the verdict against them is spelled out in detail and unambiguous. The divine ones, the gods who are supposed to provide for order/righteousness among the peoples of the earth, have utterly failed to do so. They have shown partiality to the wicked and failed to maintain the right of the poor and the weak. The consequence of this is stated to be a shaking of the foundations of the world.… The text assumes that justice as the center of world order is a responsibility of the divine world as a whole. Failure to bring that about calls into question the divine world. Indeed its consequence is a decree against the divine world that relativizes it and renders the divine ones mortal. The gods are condemned to death. The fate of the divine world, of gods as well as of human beings, is determined in the divine council.

The most dramatic instance of council members participating in God’s governance of the world is associated with judgment. According to Deuteronomy 32:8–9, members of the heavenly host were assigned as administrators of the nations:

When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance,

    when he divided mankind,

he fixed the borders of the peoples

according to the number of the sons of God.

But the Lord’s portion is his people,

    Jacob his allotted heritage.1

I appreciate your response and the study which is one sided and there is no input from a contrary source.

When I pointed out that last paragraph in that post which has a bible reference to Romans 1:25 it was not for nothing but it was for a good reason and I pointed out that this is not what Paul WROTE. If you please give your reasons that indeed it is what Paul WROTE. And this is why I said that.

The Romans verse in 1:25 begins with a word that refers to the context of the verses directly above from verse 18 to 24. It is about the Nations of the world and more specific those nations Paul got to know. The Idolaters who worship the created things and not the creator. In verse 25 Paul is referring about their idolatrous religious beliefs.

    New International Version

NIV 1:25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

And this is why I took objection to "the last paragraph on the post in question because in that post  Paul wrote about the people of the idolatrous nations about human beings. And in your posting the verse 25 it was referring to a specific being who is not a human. It was all about a specific being and in the singular form. Paul was referring to what he had witnessed by visiting the Gentile Nations who were worshiping the creation instead of the Creator. Paul is referring to the religious beliefs of the Gentiles and it was about the Gentiles about other humans.

When we consider how most snakes hunt their prey --- using stealth and concealment until the moment to strike presents itself --- we can appreciate the allegorical relationship with how the deceiver operates. As for the Lord cursing the serpent, I understand this as a curse which applies specifically to Satan, not innocent creatures of the wild. Animals are not like man; the beasts of the field are innocent in their way. The same does not hold true of us.

Snakes have their place in the Lord's creation. They are beneficial predators who play a role in controlling the populations of their prey, which is representative of the interplay between predators and prey in the wild. The use of the snake as a scriptural allegory is similar to how the Lord used the goat in the same way. Was He referring to the animal itself? Not at all. He was instead referring to qualities which are evident to anyone with experience dealing with both goats and sheep. The two don't mix... goats will terrorize and injure sheep, so both animals must be separated by the shepherd. This does not mean that goats are inherently bad, for goats have their place in God's creation.

I posted the Genesis 3:14-15 for a good reason. The creature is identified as a Serpent and we should keep it that way and there is a reason why as to make the distinction between the other snakes. I agree with what you said it was about the Serpent and not the other kind of snakes and not even about the actual Serpent it self but the Spiritual power which was at work. It cannot be wrong if we call him the Devil. In other parts in scripture is called the Devil. Jesus call him the Devil when in reference to Genesis 3:15 Jesus identified the offspring of the Serpent the Leaders of the Jews who seek to kill him and then throw him in the fire in the Gehenna for his body to be burned that's how much enmity they had against him. Jesus told them that you are from your Father the Devil. He identified who was the offspring of the Serpent-Jesus knew that soon they will put him to death and they will never repent and believe in Him this is why He told them that even though they were born and had forgiveness of their sins in the Sinai Covenant they will die in their sins because after his death there was not anymore forgiveness of sins in the Sinai Covenant and that's why in the day of Pentecost the thousands of those who were visiting Jerusalem together with the Jews in Jerusalem repented for having condemned Jesus or having endorse his death on the Cross and they believed to have their sins forgiven or attone by the blood of Jesus Christ the slain lamb of God the lamb of the Heavenly Passover who gives life the life of God to have life through the forgiveness of their sins in Jesus Christ and at the same time He identified the indentity of the Serpent as the Devil who had disguised him self as the Serpent. Jesus at that time he knew about the prophetic in Genesis 3:15 and He knew with whom He had to deal with or with whom He was dealing with. Jesus knew that the prophetic dwel in Genesis was taking place because He knew that the he was about to die (bruise his heal) Jesus also knew that he was clean and He also knew that all authority will be given to Him including the authority the Devil had till that time because the Devil will be stripped or loose his authority to take mankind by default at the time of their death -Abraham was excluded and his fate had to be decided depending on Jesus Christ being victorious-which it included that the Devil was judging the people at the time of their death. Jesus knew that the Devil was about to be stripped by that authority when He said that the Father has given to the Son of Man to Judged all the people of the world. Crush the head of the Serpent-the head he will loose his authority and will never take it back..At the Revelation one Jesus Christ said I have the keys of Death and Hades. All the judgement is given to Jesus not only according to faith in him or not but also about the works of everyone in the whole world that what Jesus said that he will also judge every one's works from the very beginning.

14 So the Lord God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this,

“Cursed are you above all livestock
        and all wild animals!
You will crawl on your belly
        and you will eat dust
all the days of your life.
15 And I will put enmity
        between you and the woman,
        and between your offspring[a] and hers;
    he will crush your head,
and you will strike his heel.”

No, I did not imply I was soliciting a response. But it is nice to have a conversation.

Yes, sir, we could dive deep into the elohim (spiritual family) God created for His purposes. The spiritual realm seems more real and fantastic than our 3D world and existence. Cherubim (beasts) sporting six wings, Seraphim with four wings, what they do with their wings, and so on.

The context and verbiage give us clues on determining if descriptions are literal, symbolic, metaphoric, etc., by verbs (like), adverbs (as), etc. These heavenly creatures seem to be physically literal.

Back on topic: The Bible seems clear that Eden was on the side of God’s holy mountain. As interpreted, the Garden of Eden was also the headwaters of four rivers. Satan himself walked in the holy mountain and the Garden of Eden. It seems the heavenly host and humanity are meant to be one family (spiritual and flesh) interacting. It stands to reason that if Satan had access to the Garden of Eden, other lesser elohim were present, too, speculation, of course.

It is too lengthy to delve into, but I believe Adam was or would have been a member of the Lord’s divine council. As kings and priests in Christ, we will rule and reign with Him, participate in the Lord’s divine council, and be members of it.

The last paragraph it is impossible to digest. And is not the only one. All scripture promotes the glory of the Lord that He reigns. He reigns means that no one reigns above him. Your comments allured his creation is reigning above him telling him what to not do. Which is equal to judgmental critic. It is as if the Lord did not have or does not have a Plan.

And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. (2 Corinthians 11:14)

Yes, Lucifer is described with reptilian features as created. As you mention, serpents, dragons, reptiles, and frogs (Dagon) have been feared, reviled, revered, and worshiped for millennia, especially in the East.

As I mentioned, it is interesting to note the symbolic (possibly literal) imagery of the Cherubim Beast creatures mentioned in Heaven: lion, Ox, eagle, white horses, etc. I do not recall any mention of reptile creatures, save Satan. They seem to be absent from heaven.

If my thoughts are accurate, those Cherubim are not only Throne guardians but also “Watchers” of creation. The reptile kingdom no longer has a watcher. Did it initially have a Cherubim Watcher?

Lucifer was created as the Heavenly worship leader, with his pipes (vocals) beyond imagination. His beauty excelled beyond everything God created. He was so beautiful and powerful that he became arrogant and swelled with pride. He endeavors to be co-equal with his creator.

Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. (Romans 1:25)

This last paragraph is not in the bible. I do not understand why you gave it the Romans 1:25 reference. Definitely is not what Paul WROTE.

I find it interesting that sharing facts elicits a "Yes, but..." response, as if the truth runs afoul of one's resident beliefs and the need to defend or justify them is required, or that I lack the faith to share such beliefs in common. Faith in the Lord has nothing to do with your beliefs in this matter, Vine Abider.

Two to five solar eclipses happen somewhere on earth every year. Also, many ancient cultures viewed eclipses as signs from their pagan gods. Those are simple facts, my friend. :no_idea:

They are but also they may have a message to tell. Like the three magi who discover a new star which was telling them a story. For that reason God can use events that  can say a story in the making. In this event at hand it is not outrageous to see the attempt of the Lunar people about two thousand years ago to eclipse the light of the world  from the world and they will only be successful for a certain period of time as it was only a total eclipse that lasted for three days. Before that event it was what was to come by the attempt of the moon people and after that we see that it is a reminder of their failed attempt. Thanks God it is over. We can teach this to kinegatden and they will gladly receive it. Because we just celebrated the light of the world who came back to shine in our hearts and they will be happy. Those who followed the light of other starts when the see the light of the world they other starts they used to follow they turn dark to them. They still can be seen by those who do not have the light of the world till the time they have the light of the world then they turn dark to them. They stopped giving their light to the people who are in the light of the world. The Crusified their light and it has  left them for good when the curtain in the Temple was torn twain and they do not have his light anymore and their moon turned into blood, the witness that they shed the blood of the Savior of the world. The blood that judge them because they still hold the belief that they were right and they will not repent.  They declare to Pilate that his blood will be upon us and our children if we have condemned an inosent man. Many things are not symbolic till we see them as symbolic.

  16. @1to3

Greetings brother studen of the Bible. God had a plan from the beginning. If we can say that and we base that saying in the way when an architect after has poured in the foundations in a building he looks at his plans and does the inspection and announces that all is Good, everything at that time it was according to his plans. He was made in his image in contrast to the other living beings he had made and he had put his Life in man. In a way that we can say that Adam never had one moment without the life of his Creator till the time of his disobedience. We also know that Adam did not know how to tell between good and evil. God had not informed him about the knowledge between good and evil which knowledge God had but His was not going to be the one to give it to them but He told them about the tree and it's fruit and the consequences if they eat from the fruit of that tree. The Serpent told Eve what will happen if she eats from the fruit of the tree. And the Serpent told her she truth. That when they eat from the fruit that they will change that will have the knowledge of good and evil, like some spiritual power will come to them which will open their eyes to know good from evil. Or discern good from evil because they will be Judged on that basis. Just like Kain was. His parents disobeyed a comandment of God but they did not do the evil thing Cain did. The Serpent also told them the truth that they were two beings the physical and the spiritual and when he said to Eve that she won't surely die He said the truth in reference to the physical being, as they did not died at the moment they ate the fruit of the tree. But also God told them the truth that they will die when they eat from the fruit because He was referring to the spiritual being which was inside man.

And we know that He said that man will also get to know that and he will seek to eat from the fruit of the tree of life. And we know that God said that all was good at that time because He announced the coming of the second Adam who will never happen to him the same thing because he will be born in the world that has the knowledge of good and evil. The next Adam will come in the world with the Life of God, the same like the first but he will be born from a woman he will have a mother with the knowledge of good and evil. She will teach him good from evil. And the next Adam will be in the Life of God and with the knowledge of good and evil not from having disobeyed God but while he was on full obedience to God. And the ground for the dwel between him and the Devil will be in a different platform, when the Devil will try to make him disobeyed God and thus loose his Life from God like Adam lost it in the Garden. There was another difference between the two Adams. The first one had a bride with him and the next and last Adam was without a bride but was looking forwards to have a bride. Enouph for the time being. The first Adam will always have the need to eat from the fruits of the earth to live. But the next Adam we can see that after the resurrection he did not need the fruits of the earth to survive, he did not dependent on the fruits of the earth even though he could eat them. No need to work the ground to survive and not to die. Also God told Adam that they will not be like the animals but they will be organized and take roots in the same place by farming the ground and storing goods for the days ahead till the next harvest. That man will not be extinct but he will learn how to survive by producing his own fruit and learn how to sustain life and help the survival of his children. Man will provide for his family. In the Garden they did not have this care.

  17. @RV_Wizard. It is quite simple when we consider what God said at that time.He first pronounced the judgement to Adam and Eve and then he said something about the Savior to come for mankind only or more specific he said to the Serpent that the matter has not be set yet and he has to face in a duel the seed of the woman who will have the knowledge of good and evil and be in the Life of God. He can't keep his spoiles forever, that will be decided at a future time and he was given the know how that he will loose the authority he has by taking the first couple and with them their descendants by default at the time of their death. Later God set apart Abraham and his chosen children from the rest of the dead of the world and from the God of the dead HADES. Who did not have any authority over them, they were God's people after their death. Waiting for Jesus Christ.

Further he was informed that God will provide a Savior for the people that he will take some of the people who had died from the Serpent but not all and he pronounced the  Judgement that he will provide a Savior for man and will provide a Heavenly Inheritance for man. That the earthly man will have a Heavenly Inheritance and the Serpent who had fallen from Heaven to the earth will never be restored to the Heaven again but he will remain on the earth forever the place where he fallen that's is going to be his new Inheritance.  The Serpent who was part of Heaven fallen in two the earth. His new Inheritance for ever. God will not provide a Savior for him. The Heavenly has inherited the earth forever and the earthly man has inherited the Heavenly. The point it was that the Serpent will be Judged and the authority the Devil had to take and Judged mankind after their death will be taken from him and be given to Jesus Christ at the time of his death on the Cross. All authority has been given to me in Heaven and the earth and in all things under the earth. God made Jesus Christ the Judged of all people of the world.

Looking forward to after the crucifixion, remembering the command at the last supper, it wouldn't make any sense for a non believer to participate in the taking of the bread and wine which symbolizes the Lord's sacrifice to cleanse us of sin. A memorial to what He suffered for the deadly corruption of sin in humankind, He being our final Passover.

No it's not for unbelievers to partake in the communion of this religious ordinance because before partaking a confession is always made that we believe in Jesus Christ. It does come first with the confession of faith.

How I like to think about a new body is acknowledging first and foremost that the old body will die and with it the law of sin and death that did indeed slay my flesh with my cooperation.

    1Cor 15:53-57 (ESV)

For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality. 54When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written:

“Death is swallowed up in victory.”
55“O death, where is your victory?
O death, where is your sting?”

56The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

This cannot be denied that it is written in the epistle of Paul to Corinthians.

I paste in bold that what was written in the prophetic scriptures. And this what Paul considered at the time because he continues to say in verse 56 that Jesus Christ has accomplished something as a result the Old saying in the Law that sinning under the law (then he was talking to those who were under the Law like himself when he was under the Law before he believed. Paul said when they sin they were sting with the sting of death. (And they had to offered a sacrifice for their sin only where the Law permit. Because not all sins were forgivable in the Law). When man sinned in the Covenant of Sinai he was sting with death seperated from God and he had to offered the sacrifice for the Atonement for his sin. Not all sins were forgivable and those death sting them and kept them. An example is the Israelites who sin in the dessert (by disobeying God and eat something else the birds the Quell when they were on the Manna that time. Everyone was fed Manna from God nothing else. That time all who ate the birds were stung by the Serpents and were dying. Then the Lord showed them who is going to deliver the people from the sting of Death. The Bronze Serpent, Jesus Christ the Son of God the Slain Lamb of God.  And when those under judgment who were stung from the Serpent looked to the Bronze Serpent their leaders put up they were healed, they lived.

This is why in verse 57 Paul said

57But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Beautiful in the New Covenant when we sin we may be sting by the Serpent but the Serpent's sting it is without poison and does not give us death we still remain alive to Jesus Christ nothing can separate us from the Slain Lamb of God Jesus Christ our Lord . We sin but we still under the Atonement made by the blood of Jesus Christ.  That time they had the Atonement by the blood of the sacrificial Lambs and only for those in the Sinai Covenant.

(“Death is swallowed up in victory.”
55“O death, where is your victory?
O death, where is your sting)

56The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

in Jesus Christ that's has happened since 2000 years ago Jesus Christ has died the Devil has been defeated.

  21. @PATrobas I read your post carefully and I cannot say that everything in it it comes from the tree of Life. Certainly I can say something about the New body and this is an excellent saying "the New body. Because the only one's whose body will never see decay in the New Covenant is the body of Jesus Christ. And this must be distinguish from a few others whose body also never show decay because they were taken to Heaven while the still lived in Old Testament. Something that will never happen in the New Testament. And this is because that everyone in the New Testament has to die first and then the Judgement which is the same as saying while they are out of their body. And without any hope to be in that body again. Only exception it was for Jesus and it is good it happened this way and only for him. He was raised from the dead and he has the marks of the wounds that were in his body when he died.  That will never happen to anyone. We will have a new body which it has nothing, absolute nothing to do with the Old body. We are all finished with our earthly bodies. No one would like to have his body in the state it was when he died.

Thank you guys for your input. I do like to speculate and bounce some thoughts off of others.

Reading carefully the text of the fruit of Life which it meant to be for the believers while they are live or before they died. In his address to the churches in Revelation chapter two and three Jesus promised the same thing. Jesus promised to those who heed his words not to be afraid if they fall out of favor with those who claim to have spiritual food for them but they are side tracked. Because he will let them have access to the tree of life. It as if he is telling them that the food or some of the food they claim to be from Jesus Christ or the Holy Spirit are from the self or from the authority that they served. Jesus said to them that I have something for you which they can't give you because they do not have. I will come and sup with you and give you something that no one can get it from anyone else but from me. Jesus includes here all the philosophies that they are in the world because he is calling to himself all people who have grown up in all diverse philosophies or cultures of the world. And this is beneficial to us while we still live in this world.

What does falling short of grace mean to you?

When someone is refusing to believe in Jesus Christ by saying I believe in God and I am a good and charitable person and love my neighbor. That person seeks to prove himself to God as worthy to be in God's unmerited favor with his own merits.  And that person seeks God's acceptance in his own worth. And seeks to accomplish something and hopes that God will open the door to welcome him (that individual is) in his own merit. Everything this individual does it cannot much the grace of God given to anyone who believes in Jesus Christ, who died for the forgiveness of our sins. We have this Grace from God in Jesus Christ who is the door to the Heavenly Father for anyone who believes in the name of Jesus. This is falling sort of Grace, when someone can only be in the Heavenly Father by faith in Jesus Christ, and that someone tries to get to the Heavenly Father without faith in the Grace of God provided to us in Jesus Christ. We can see that if we understand that Jesus is the Grace of God. Or the Grace of God has come to the whole world through Jesus Christ, the forgiveness of our sins and the Heavenly Inheritance to be with Jesus Christ and the Heavenly Father.

Anyone who denies to believe in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of his sins and tries in his own merits to open the door to the Heavenly Father, that door will never open to him because he is not in the Grace given to anyone who believes in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins. His own righteousness is short of the righteousness of Jesus Christ and for that reason sort of the righteousness of God. Sort of the Grace of God given to people through Jesus Christ who is the way to the Heavenly Father. It can only be through Jesus Christ the Lamb of God who was Slain and shed the blood of the New Covenant for the forgiveness of our sins in his blood with his death on the Cross. Every other attempt to reach God without Jesus Christ will always fail, will be not enough.

To fall sort of the favor of Jesus Christ this is something with the Believers and Jesus Christ, it has to do between Jesus Christ and his own children, the children of God. Between Jesus Christ and the people who are already saved in him. Having the forgiveness of their sins in his blood, in the Slain Lamb of God by believing in him. A side saying could be is not to try to earn what you already have. Accept what one has when someone believes in Jesus Christ. Has the forgiveness of sins and the gift of his righteousness. And then we grow in our own righteousness towards God.

That first text is about the book Revelation.

His Word is sealed? Daniel is sealed until the end time.

The gift of prophecy and words of wisdom never ceased.

There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.
    I Corinthians 12:4‭-‬11 NKJV
    https://bible.com/bible/114/1co.12.4-11.NKJV

How is it then, brethren? Whenever you come together, each of you has a psalm, has a teaching, has a tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation. Let all things be done for edification. If anyone speaks in a tongue, let there be two or at the most three, each in turn, and let one interpret. But if there is no interpreter, let him keep silent in church, and let him speak to himself and to God. Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others judge. But if anything is revealed to another who sits by, let the first keep silent. For you can all prophesy one by one, that all may learn and all may be encouraged.
    I Corinthians 14:26‭-‬31 NKJV
    https://bible.com/bible/114/1co.14.26-31.NKJV

“If you love Me, keep My commandments. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
    John 14:15‭, ‬26 NKJV
    https://bible.com/bible/114/jhn.14.15-26.NKJV

“I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.
    John 16:12‭-‬15 NKJV
    https://bible.com/bible/114/jhn.16.12-15.NKJV

God can say something else than a Bible text, but He will never go against His Word and you have to test it.

For instance he warns you or encourages you or you get a word via someone else. I had for instance forced demonic thoughts for years. My mother went to a guy who had the gift of prophecy. He sent me a letter. He did not know what was the matter. He did not know me. He said some other stuff and: I am not susceptible to lies and accusations from the enemy. I declare you free in My love. And that was that. I believed it and instantly the torment was gone. It's also in the Bible. He who the Son sets free is free indeed, but just reading the Bible or getting prayer hadn't helped me.

Once my dad joined us with Christmas. He was atheist. He and my mom had fights because we all got saved and he had said to her: Your God ruins my marriage! We went to a church we normally never went to cause his mother visited, to do her a favor he joined. LOL during the kids playing some Christmas play that pastor who has the gift of prophecy or words of wisdom, I dont even know what is what, said very loud in this huuuge church: God does not ruin marriages!!

@RdJ Greetings. Bellow I copy and paste that first text from the book of Revelation.

I have His Word and that is all that is needed... if it comes some other way I know it is suspect by that very instance of way it comes... as God says His Word is sealed

    Revelation 22:18-19 (KJV)

[18] For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

▪︎ More than one issue is born from the brother's statement above. To set the first one and the most obvious is whether or not the words in Revelation 22:18-19 were said about the Revelations the Glorious Jesus Christ gave to John when He appeared to Him at his old age after all other disciples of the twelve were not living anymore, at the Island of Patmos while he was there on exiled and couldn't leave the Island. For that and other reasons the Super Glorious Jesus asked John to write down everything he told him and he had witnessed for He made it known to John that he would not live the Island and that he will die there, as the answer to John's prayers or to the prayers of the saints of the other churches who were praying for his freedom from exile. And that's where Jesus went to meet him.

Before the words in Revelation 22:18-19 were spoken to John Jesus had said to him before to write everything down just like in a letter and send it by someone else to be read as an open letter to the churches in chapter two and three. So John wrote the letter with fear and trembling not to add anything to the words of prophecy because he was given the warning in chapter 22:18-19. And someone deliver the sealed letter to the churches together with the warning in chapter 22:18-19 who with fear of the warning they read the letter which included the instructions to the churches in chapter two and three. The instructions did not say do not make copies only not to add anything or omit anything or change anything when they make copies but to copy it word for word to make only truth copies. The warning applied to them also to the copy makers. This is regarding the warning and to whom applied at first and to others after John. Because first applied to John as to know that John also was under the warning the first one under the threat of the warning and to help us accept that he followed the guidance of Jesus and he did not add or omit anything. And to the leaders of the churches to compel them to read to their congregation everything written in the letter even if it did not compliment them.
