  1. It will only go to liberal causes Shadows
  2. Well they would be American "liberal causes". I thought the "right" were pro America?
  3. We could keep those billions and that would be good for our economy as well.
  4. EH? This statement contradicts what you said earlier. If you want social programs pay for them yourself. Also I would support programs like this, lets use the tax money that goes to corporate welfare. I'm sure the few billion that Israel gets every year would help as well.
  5. the couple cents you pay for those programs is nothing. SMH.
  6. Taxes do pay for them.
  7. Nationally, somewhere between one-quarter and half of Americans volunteer every year.1 This spirit of volunteerism is one of the ways Americans are unique when compared with citizens of other nations.2 Perhaps this is why the idea of service opportunities for young people has been popular in the United States at least since former President John F. Kennedy called on his fellow Americans to “Ask not what your country can do for you—ask what you can do for your country.” Those words, spoken during Kennedy’s 1961 inaugural address, inspired a generation to consider public and community service.3 It is perplexing then that the country’s main domestic national service programs are perpetually targeted by conservatives for cuts or even complete elimination. https://www.americanprogress.org/issues/education/reports/2017/03/13/427801/proposed-cuts-americorps-devastating-education-reform/
  8. I do think he was out of line. But lets be honest, there was much said about Obama, Michelle and their children. A lot of racist rhetoric and many veiled threats.

  10. The your wasn't meaning you specifically.
  11. Don't make personal attacks against yourself. What didn't you get? Did you read the whole thread?
  12. The point in my comparison was perfectly clear. But if you don't understand then we can discuss where your confusion lay. If you can't do that then I would ask that you refrain from further responses to me.
  13. LOL...no I consider your attempt to say what God regards as a right or privilege a red herring. I consider this comment I'm responding to a strawman. The fact is this American citizens ( especially evangelical christens) will fight harder to keep gun rights than they for the "right to life", that they say they support. If you fight for a baby in the womb but not for terrible state of affairs of our current healthcare system then you don't believe in the right to life. I would also go as far to say ( and this is my opinion) your concern about life would be no where near God's concern about life if one can't find an issue with the current state of affairs.
  14. I find it strange that you are speaking for God in this regard. What God did or didn't have to do isn't the issue. The fact is he did create us and there are certain rights he gave to us as humanity. Again you are presenting a red herring.
  15. I guess the quote feature isn't functioning properly. In anycase what are you disputing. We believe that there are certain rights that are given to us by God. You can attempt to use red herrings but that does not take away the point of the picture. I find it amazing that "right to life" proponents don't feel it extends passed the womb.
  16. So the So then any argument about abortions are not coming from the "Christian perspective" because there is not actual right to life, only a privilege to live. Got you. If the "Christian perspective" can't see the problem with this then there is not only a problem with perspective but the "Christian" as well.
  17. This sounds good in theory, but when it comes to this picture what are your thoughts?
  18. I would have assumed as much Church. Your reply earlier was spot on.
  19. How many of you have been in the military?

    Hmmmmm

Oklahoma prosecutors on Thursday filed child prostitution charges against Republican state Sen. Ralph Shortey after police found him in a hotel room with a 17-year-old boy http://www.cbsnews.com/news/ralph-shortey-oklahoma-senator-child-prostitution-charges/
  21. What are your thoughts on this.
  22. Well if you read the actual link then you would know why I stated this country is for the birds. Your ridiculous comment does not change my feelings.
  23. You didn't read it. Its actual court documents that shows the officer lied about everything he stated. I guess the Holy Spirit leads Christians to lie.
  24. So what did you actually glean from what you breezed through? The starting point is the article. If you aren't discussing that then my motivations for posting it are really irrelevant. But its easier to try to deflect with the nonsense you guys are addressing then the actual issue.
  25. More like not interested in truth...but okay
