Hello Dandelion. Nice to meet you. You have touched on many and different key issues: mental health issues, generational curses, false beliefs and incorrect Biblical doctrines, forgiveness, and insight/awareness. Concerning mental health issues, there are those caused by physical dysfunction (brain trauma, neurological disorders, hormonal/neurotransmitter imbalances) and those that are “psychologically based.” If you rule out physical trauma/dysfunction you may want to seek getting bloodwork done to test your hormonal/neurotransmitter profiles. If any one of them is too high or too level you could experience severe symptoms ranging from anxiety, to lethargy, to rage, to suicidal ideations. It is akin to being intoxicated on a drug like alcohol, cocaine, etc. The human body can accept and process a small amount of the substances, but in excess can throw off the body’s chemical balance. Another problem with drug use (legal or illegal) of any kind on the one hand and an internal chemical imbalance on the other hand is that you cannot remain “level” for very long. Also, in the Bible, a major sin is “sorcery” which in the original Greek is “pharmacopeia” referring to drugs being used to lower a person’s inhibitions. So whether you are taking drugs or your body’s chemistry is off, you are more susceptible to demonic influence, as they are taking advantage of your compromised state. On generational curses, God declared in Exodus 20:5, “I the Lord your God am a jealous God visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate me.” When a person or a generation is living in a state of active willful defiance against God, they open themselves up to many evils: physical/mental illness as consequences, removal of God’s hand of protection, open assault by Satanic forces. If you have time, read Romans 1:18-32. It speaks about wicked rebellious people who choose to serve everything else in this world but reject God, the original creator and how God simply “gives people over to a debased mind to defile themselves.” Then there are times when people claim to be Christians or religious but then live in a very contradictory manner. In 1 Corinthians 5, God through the apostle Paul gives the instruction “to deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.” Many times God allows certain people to go through great suffering so that they will turn to and cry out for Him. They have received enough knowledge of God throughout their lives to convince their consciences that they need to repent of any evil in their lives and cry out to God, who will be that “ever present help in time of trouble.” But God is always waiting to receive a repentant sinner back with open arms. Luke 15:11-32 gives the account of a wayward son who lost everything, came to his senses, then returned to his father for forgiveness and grace. The moment an individual from a generation decides to commit themselves to Christ they are immediately forgiven and things begin to change. Unfortunately though the consequences of sin run deep within us and around us. Some of those consequences we will need to bear the rest of our lives. But as 1 Corinthians 10:13 says "God is faithful who will not allow you to be tested beyond what you are able but will with the temptation also make a way of escape that you may be able to bear it." Within the mind of a person is a belief system – a set of ideas that one holds to be true concerning himself, God, and others. If any of these ideas are untrue, if the person has been deceived in some area, or if there is conflict of ideas or interests, there will be much turmoil in that person’s soul and mind. His thoughts/feelings/beliefs will need to be reconciled to a standard of truth. If a person has believed or is living a lie he will never be a complete peace with himself. If one is living deceitfully, he will be an easy pawn for evil spirits to influence in many other areas. That is why a thorough knowledge of the Bible, God’s word, is so important. Is the spiritual bedrock of truth. Also the Proverbs say, “As the man thinks in his heart so is he.” If you have convinced yourself that you are ill or dysfunctional, you are very close to being so. Many times “false teachers” teach incorrect doctrines based on the Bible. Then a person clings to that teaching but later finds that he does not achieve the results that were promised to him by the false teacher. Again another read to be a student of the word – so that we are not easily misled and let down. You mentioned that idea of God’s forgiveness and maybe feeling that you have removed yourself from it. The only unforgiveable sin, as described by Jesus Himself is “blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.” Basically what this means is saying either that the work that God does is driven by a source of evil or by flatly rejecting the Gospel of Jesus Christ and willfully deciding not to repent of your sins but rather to remain separate from God. I don’t sense that you have come to that point, since you still have an open mind about spiritual things. Don’t confuse “baptism” with “salvation.” A Christian should only be “baptized” after repenting of their sins and inviting Jesus into their live as Lord and Savior. Baptism is only an outward declaration to others that you have made that personal inner commitment to serve Christ. Baptism does not save you but only confession and repentance. One thing I noticed is that through all your battles with this condition, you are able to maintain an insight and awareness as to the goings on of these encounters. Many people do not experience this “extra sensory perception”, if I may use that term. That tells me that you are being trained in “spiritual warfare.” That you are fully aware that there is indeed a spiritual battle going on behind the scenes that most people refuse to acknowledge. This tells me that possibly God is preparing you for a future ministry of helping those in spiritual bondage. You must be allowed to experience the pain and fear and then be delivered from it in order to help and identify with others of like struggles. Stay strong. Fully commit and surrender to Jesus Christ. Keep asking questions and don’t give up on talking to God about your feelings, experiences, doubts, fears, and desires.

Well the "theory of evolution" as founded by Darwin excludes God/intelligent designer. It claims all life randomly occurred "in the beginning" by "natural processes (natural selection, genetic mutations) all of which have now been proven to be mathematically impossible.

Creation and an Old Earth - One Possibility
arphax replied to Riverwalker's topic in Science and Faith
Although it isn't clearly stated that the earth is the center of all God's creation throughout the ages, it wouldn't be a strong argument to say because the universe is infinitely immense that we might not be alone. That is life on the larger scale. What about life on the smaller scale? In the microscopic? Just as we are always probing further and further into outerspace and never finding an end, so we also are probing further into the human body do past the cellular and molecular levels and never finding an end to it all. My feeling is we never will in this life for the simple fact that God wants to prove to us that His wisdom and ways "are past finding out." "Who can know the mind of God?" And if we consider that Jesus Christ only had to come down once from heaven to be the Lamb of God, I wouldn't think any other race would have been. Just my 2 cents. We know that "The heavens declare the glory of God and the firmament shows forth His handiwork.." I would not be surprised at all to one day find out we WERE the only spiritual beings created in the physical realm. -
Hello all. Very interesting topic, for sure. Now within the scientific community, much evidence is surfacing pointing to the reality of "intelligent design" and not evolution. Particularly "gene coding"
