That fact that she lied isn't the main concern for me. That's what I was expecting. What concerns me is how did she KNOW that she was going to be able to say those lies and NOT be called on it or fact-checked? That's what you need to think about. If your concern here is that she didn't tell the truth, you are about two steps behind. That's what powerful Democrats do. You need to understand someone TOLD HER she could say what she wanted and not pay any consequences and that the moderators would give it all a pass. There is the problem.

Your fear unrest if Trump loses? I am terrified at the "unrest" if Trump wins. The Democrats will not take that lying down. Republicans are not the ones who loot, burn, steal, harm, and carrying it on for months when something doesn't go their way. That's what Democrats do.

As much as I loved Reagan and voted for him twice, he would not acknowledge the AIDS crisis and the plight that gay people were having. And a rip in the fabric of the United States ever-so-lightly began. The left could not BEAR not having a president in office and put up Clinton after Georg H. W. Bush. The immoral nature of the man only confounded the rip in the fabric of what was once unity in our country. On January 20, 2001, George W. Bush became president and presided for 8 years. In his first term, he had a black female named Condoleezza Rice as his National Security Advisor. During his second term, he moved her up to Secretary of State. She was beyond the best thing that happened in that administration. Her competency was out the roof. She was impressive to the United States and the world. The left and the Democrat Party began to panic! They, along with most of the right, believed the Republican Party to be grooming her to be the next president after George W. Bush. I, myself, was absolutely convinced of that. I was going to go door-to-door campaigning for her when she ran. But she decided not to run. The reason that the left panicked is that they believed and still believe the Republican Party to be cavemen. Haters of gays, blacks, and Jews. Idiots. Subhuman. If you are too young or naive enough not to know that....well, now you know that this is how the left feels. For the right to put up the first President of color or a female would have been HORRIBLE for left. To them, THEY are the enlightened ones - the lovers of all humans and the social justice warriors. The Avengers of the World. And the search began for a black person or a female to be their next nominee, so that THEY could be the first. The night that George W. Bush was elected the second time - I, of course, was watching the votes come in. On presidential election nights, the media also cuts away to show election results for the various and famous Congress men and women who are running for re-election in their states. I noticed that the cut-aways kept going to Illinois. I couldn't figure that out. I thought - "no one knows or cares who is running in Illinois." The Illinois guy was an unknown. A tall guy. A black man. Nice-looking. Spoke confidently. And he had a funny name. Barak Hussein Obama. I was really curious as to the amount of media time given him on that night. And then the Lord spoke to me. He said to my mind, "This is going to be your next president." I was sort of shocked. God didn't say "hurray" or "boo", just that Obama was next. Who was this guy from Chicago, Illinois that no one knew? But I knew that God was the one who placed presidents in office for the good of people and as punishments to countries. I just thought, "OK, this is your business." And sure enough, four years later, we had a President Obama. They had tossed about the idea of a black male and a white female. They felt that they could not get a woman in office, so they chose the black male. And thus began the final rip in the fabric of the United States. The left felt like kings. They said, "We put up a black man and won. Now we can put up a woman and win." So they put up Hillary who only wanted to BE president to spit in her husband's face. Everyone thought she was a shoe-in. She wasn't. Besides, they didn't put up Joe Biden because Obama hated him. Joe Biden chose Kamala Harris because she was black and a female. Those were the sole qualities that the left admired. I'm saying all of that to say this: Do you NOT see? The debate that took place in June was to get Biden OUT. The two moderators in June hated Trump so much that if they could have gotten away with it, they would have killed him. Don't think I am joking. They HATE him and have said so and have said so publicly. Why did Trump do so well, then? Why didn't the moderators help Biden out? It was rigged ahead of time for Biden to fail and for the Democrats to put in Harris. Why did Trump not do so well in last night's debate? IT WAS RIGGED AHEAD OF TIME for Harris to attack like mad woman - lying to do it - and to bait Trump and the moderators, different this time, but Trump haters like the first debate to promote it. I just want people to understand that there is nothing fair, balanced, or good in politics and that an unholy hatred, from both sides, is common place and tactics to win are evil. We need Jesus right now more than anything. The divide in the United States gets wider every single day.

Are you surprised at that? I wasn't expecting her to answer anything. She didn't have to as that wasn't her job last night. She was there to bait Trump and she did like a pit bull even at the expense of lying like dog with the moderators NOT fact-checking her lies. She had all of this memorized and sounded like she was reciting something she memorized. The moderators were there to ask Trump "why are you so evil?" and she was there for them to ask "why is Trump so evil?". I knew this would be a giant SHOW for Democrats to spew their hate at him. I prayed twice yesterday for him not get shook up by her baiting, which is what she was prepped for. He did get off his game a few times and it was painful to watch. I'm not sure why so many people expected a fair, balanced, and legitimate debate. It boggles my mind. The only thing that's a relief is that the stupidity of it all hasn't moved the polls towards Harris at all.

We here in the South, Louisiana and Mississippi especially, are endangered by an upcoming Hurricane. It's supposed to hit land today, this afternoon. The path it's taking is through the "boot" of Louisiana and up through western Mississippi. I don't want to say that deaths are expected because I want to believe that God will intervene. That's been my prayer for the past couple of days that God will protect those in harm's way of Hurricane Francine. I've prayed especially for the homeless, those with no one to help them hunker down or evacuate, yes, the animals, and all in Francine's path. That's been on my heart for most of the past couple of days. Yesterday, I did spend time in prayer twice for Donald Trump in the debate. I prayed that he would be strong, not take the bait, not be nervous, and promote the truth that Americans need to hear. He did not do as well as I wanted him to. His people had been begging him not to take the bait. Harris was terribly rude, cited only things she had memorized, and cast a lot of bait most of it lies and she knew it was lies. She had been trained like a pit bull [and my apologies to the pit bulls of the world] to draw blood. She was not trained to answer any questions thoroughly at all. Today, the day we should be remembering 9-11 and the 23rd anniversary - the Democrats are having a FIELD DAY and dancing in glee over their "victory" last night. If you haven't watched any leftist channels, you just have no idea. I can't give a victory to either side. I'm still voting for Trump. But he needs serious prayers and he needs to listen to his people. Remember those in harm's way today and tomorrow and those who will endure weeks and perhaps months of dealing with flooding.

I wholeheartedly and sadly agree 100%. She was inept and rude and formulaic. He kept taking the bait she cast and missed opportunity after opportunity to make a stand. It's been the longest two months of my life watching two teams of people proudly EXALT their candidate as the "one and only". It's not going to be rainbows and candyland, no matter who wins. It will be a long four years no matter which one goes in. I just don't know why people don't understand that.

Their views have been made known. I expect this "debate" to be a clown fest. We are talking about two people who hate each other more than I've seen two politicians hate in my lifetime. Tonight is not about informing the country of their views. It's about who can insult the other one the most.

Brother, I just got back from church where I had 6-8 junior high girls making a ruckus behind me and their parents did nothing to make them behave, so I am not in the best temperament!! This is the second time you have quoted my post from a month ago telling me that my definition of theistic evolution is wrong. Now, I am not afraid of being wrong nor does it bother me to ever state that I am wrong on something. I'll confess my errors in a heartbeat. I learned the cathartic lesson of confession of wrongs - both private and public - a looooong time ago. But in this case, I am not wrong. Yes, legitimate science and the Bible do not clash. Illegitimate science and the Bible DO clash. Theistic evolution is when people believe that Darwin is right, that life came from RNA molecules that began to self-replicate and one day millions and millions and millions of years ago started a chain reaction from simple life forms all the way to humans, but that God did it and that Genesis 1 and 2 are not valid. You forget I taught science. I just googled "what is theistic evolution" and up popped 22 pages of articles. Each page with about 10 articles. That's WELL over 200 articles about the subject. I read the first sentence or two of about 20 of them. Guess what?!? They agree with me on the definition of theistic evolution. I suggest you google the same and read the definitions for yourself. I didn't just make that definition up, brother. I have long since dismissed this thread as I was not getting through to you. ~Sigh~ I'm signing out of this thread. As you know, Hunter Biden took an Alford plea on the nine tax evasion felonies to keep from going to trial this week. He said it was because he knew they would ask about how he spent the money on drugs and prostitutes and he didn't want to embarrass his family. Now, one of my character flaws is that I am more cynical than the average person who knows me could understand. I have trust issues. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't believe he was trying to protect his family from these sordid things. The entire cotton pickin' WORLD knows of his drug and prostitution problems. You see, if I were the prosecutor, the FIRST question I would ask would NOT be about how he spent his money, but I would ask, "Mr. Biden, where did you accumulate all of this money? And can you provide documentation showing why your employer did not take taxes from your paycheck." That, to me, is the burning question. Hunter Biden needs our prayers. Don't read this and not pray for him.

It's hard, Sparks. It's hard when I come to Worthy - a place I feel safe on the internet - and there are scores of videos that serve no purpose other than to brashly mock Harris. Her skin tone, her voice/accent, the fact she washes greens in the bathtub, and more. It's fine and really a good thing to discuss her lack of competency and liberal views that will only damage America. But to mock her for things that DO NOT MATTER is not worthy of Worthy to me. Posts like that also display a disdain that borders on hatred. I've been trying my best to ignore them, but it's hard. I am trying to do better.

?? Only in an ethereal train of thought. Besides, I thought the lame duck period was after the next election and before the next one is sworn in. You know him. I know him. We neither like the man - even though I am sadly voting for him. You KNOW he will wield power in an aggressive manner. for good or not so good - even past the date of the election of the 2028 president. Just like Clinton who was pardoning people left and right on his last day of office as a spit in the face of George Bush. People may call him that - but he will not behave in that manner as Biden has been classically doing. Trump has already too much power to be treated as a lame duck or to act like one. Too many people have him on a political pedestal for him to be a lame duck. They will deny, but it's the sad truth. He is like Obama in that regard. Some may regard Trump as the lame duck president, but he will not be. That could be a comfort and it could be quite frightening.

You support these entertainers. I don't. Attitudes like theirs is part of the reason I had to change my political party 14 months ago from Republican to Independent. I could never be a Democrat. I can never go back to Republican. [For more reasons that that.] We will just have to agree to disagree.

But I don't see in the Bible where God told us to make videos comically and cruelly ripping these people to shreds and then sell the videos to make money and ignore the lostness of these people. The Bible teaches that leading people to Christ and guiding them to understand that their lifestyle is not of God is achieved by an entirely different method.

Oh, I was rooting for Nikki Haley! And I agree that she could have beaten Harris/Walz. But the key word there is "could" have. It's too late now. All we can do is look to 2028 in terms of someone other than Trump. If he wins, he won't be able to run in 2028. And this is not a bash against Trump, but conservatives and moderates need to be thinking NOW of who will run in 2028 if Trump wins now.

I think you misunderstood me. I mean that they are not defending her as a person. They are defending her as a potential president who will champion their unGodly beliefs. That's all they care about.
