  1. S0 you are telling me that even though Peter Tells us the answer That God had showed him in Acts 10:28. you are telling me its also something else.
  2. Well brother we will just have to disagree basically on all points. I will only talk on Peters vision as I see the rest as a waist of time. I see Peters vision as completely the opposite to you & as the Key to the clean or unclean debate, verifying that unclean animals are still a health issue & shouldn't be eaten. Peter declares he has never eaten anything common or unclean, he is absolutely adamant on this point, saying "No I have never" this was written 6-10 yrs after Christ's death. Did he forget that they are ok to eat, why did he not say ok, Here we have the Lord is saying eat, He is saying NO, never. But, he later explains the vision, saying "God has shown me I should not call any man common or unclean". But one again Paul has a memory loss & forgets to tell the group, Oh! by the way we can now eat unclean animals. Once again you seemed to have thrown in what is not written.
  3. Hello Ezra, I'm a bit perplexed by you quoting Acts 15 it seems very presumptuous of you to include that as to being able to eat unclean animals. Is it Acts 15:19-20 that brings you to that conclusion? if not could you direct me to the verse please supporting your stance, I would appreciate it. You have 1Timothy 4:3-5 but quote Mk 7:18-20 simple error as you do have 1Timothy in blue I see. In Mk7 the whole issue is ceremonial hand washing. The pharisees had very strict in regard to ceremonial hand washing. With this in mind Jesus points this out the pharisees placing tradition over Gods laws. Jesus comments Mk7.15 there is nothing that enters a man from the out side that can (defile him). Verse 18 says the same. The topic has not changed it is still all about defilement, ceremonial washing. Verse 19 is where most interpretation get lost due to extremely bad bible translations, though some have translated it correctly. Verse 19. because it does not enter a mans heart but his stomach, & is eliminated thus purging all foods. this means going to the toilet. ( it does not say thus purifying all foods. (That's not in manuscripts what so ever) Jesus did not consider unclean animals food They were scavengers never to be eaten & a sin against Gods Food laws in Isaiah 66:17 is about Jesus second coming it says those eating swine's flesh shall be consumed. I can't imagine one group of people being given the death sentence wile the other group is pardoned for exactly the same thing. In your reading of 1Timothy you mention commanding us to abstain from (meats) the word is Broma meaning food, but even if it was meat it says, (which God hath created to be received) God didn't create unclean animals to be received. If we have different thoughts on it brother thats fine, if you want to go into it more I am happy God bless
  4. Ephesians 1:5 Having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to himself. This is another way of saying, this is Gods work & not our own. Do we have free will, is God love, does he want us to serve & honour him from our love from free will. What is the use of creating us to be puppets without free will. There is no reciprocal love in that. To say that we are predestined to be saved is to say that the whole plan of salvation is a hoax because we have no choice in our destiny.
  5. Hello Post, As for Solomon's temple I also don't think thats its graffiti, but until God gives us the designs & go ahead for tattoos, I think its best to restrain.
  6. Your body is the temple of God. I don't think placing graffiti on it is such a good idea
  7. It doesn't teach us to disobey the Sabbath, & there is only one Sabbath that is a memorial to creation. The one that was blessed & sanctified, meaning put said for holy use, the one initiated thousands of years prior to a Jewish nation. The others all pertained to the Jews & their festivals They also were called sabbaths & were a shadow, & found there fulfilment in our saviour Christ.

    Sanctification

Yes brother Kan, We are in agreement as to obedience is the test of conversion, in simplistic terms, it means you are submitting to His will. Once again He is doing the work we are just submitting. I quite ofter get jumped on once I bring up obedience, (: God bless.

    Sanctification

Hello Brother Post, Thank you for making me look deeper, I went to Biblical Hermeneutics which is possibly one of the better places to go in this instance. Looking at the content of Matthew 5: 43-48 Their answer was----you are to love as God loved, with out partiality. To love is perfect. As to what is the heart, I think the point is, we as fallen people are in need a new heart the bible is clear on this point i'm sure you'll agree. Therefore I still stand on my first explanation regarding the definition of sin being an act & not a thought. As for the thought process to be perfect we need a new heart & thats exactly what our LORD has promised. Ezekiel 36:26. God bless.

    Sanctification

Hi Brothers & Sisters, Christ said be ye perfect as I am perfect, he also said go & sin no more, he didn't say sin a little less. Most Christians seem to believe if you think a sinful thought its a sin, I disagree, the reading says, you have sinned in your heart. I'll try to give an example, I see someone drop their wallet I think I'll keep that I can pay some of my many debts, but conviction gets me & I pick up the wallet & hand it back. Have I sinned because I was tempted to keep it? read James. 1:14-15. Remember: Christ was tempted at every point as you & I are but did not sin. Temptation is not sin. Read James 1:14-15 Contemplate what is the difference between temptation & sin, Many seem to think that God hasn't the power to help us to overcome. I'm just writing of the cuff here so if my examples may not be so good. Is a caterpillar perfect though it is not a butterfly, of cause it is, its a perfect caterpillar. Similarly the new Christian can be perfect just as the caterpillar is, we still will be tempted but must try to be perfect, by making the right choices. As Time goes on the metamorphous should be taking place, this is the sanctification process which is ongoing, (this also is all Gods work) our job is to submit to his will & not our desires. No where here have I said we can earn our way to salvation, what I am saying is you always have the choice to sin or not, thoughts are another matter but when you realise you are entertaining bad thoughts there is your prompting from the Holy Spirit, if you find it difficult, pray, God will listen. God bless

    Sanctification

Hi Jmann, When we come to Christ in acceptance we are immediately Justified, meaning, it is though we have never sinned. From that point we start the sanctification process, Be yea perfect as I am perfect, the sanctification process is a on going purification process our whole lives. We all can come to Christ as we are, but if in a few years we are the same Christian as the day we started I would be questioning our standing.
