Once saved always saved is a feel good doctrine that is going to lead a lot of would be saved people to death. You can be with the Father and by your own will depart and die a spiritual death. Read the Prodigal Son in Luke. We are not robots. God has given us the free will to choose right from wrong.

Sounds like your Pastor is more concerned about appearance than the word of God. I would leave and let your pastor know why.Please remember to do this with respect. It could be that if enough people do this He will change His thinking.

I always ask," how can something or someone bother so much if it or they do not exist?" Plus they could have more holidays rather than just April first.

As a Minister I would suggest that you pray about it. We are personally responsible for our actions and our walk with the Lord.
