Phil is a Christian teacher and apologist with unusually strong knowledge of the Old Testament. He's published one book, an explanation of difficult topics of the faith entitled "He's Greater Than You Know," and is working on a second book, this time a work of fiction. He leads worship and teaches the Bible when asked, runs the sound board when needed, and usually plays bass on the worship band. He currently drives for Uber to provide for his eating habit, but in a prior incarnation he spent 25 years earning a living as a computer jock with specialties in Unix shell programming, PERL programming, and laser printers. Phil resides in Pittsburgh, PA with his lovely bride Shelly. He attends a Vineyard church there; Vineyard is a fairly recent Protestant denomination born out of the Charismatic movement (they might deny being a denomination, and say instead that they are a gathering of independent churches.)
