  1. Since we can't know their walk entirely because it's the internet, can we know their fruits by what they preach? If what they preach is swimming in contradictions..
  2. what do u think, i trying to solve the mystery 2 Cor 4:4 In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. https://www.openbible.info/topics/spiritual_blindness https://www.google.com/search?source=hp&ei=L7wSW7K0D4eT0PEPlJamwAY&q=spiritual+blindness+scripture&oq=spir&gs_l=psy-ab.3.0.35i39k1j0i131k1j0i20i264k1l2j0l2j0i131k1j0j0i131k1j0.2830.3581.0.5398.5.4.0.0.0.0.179.490.0j3.3.0....0...1.1.64.psy-ab..2.3.489.0..0i131i20i264k1.0.wLiSYpjpS5c
  3. It really can discern the fruits of someone, can't it. Religious vs born again.
  4. Nah, we are sealed until redemption, Eph 1:13-14, Rom 8:35, 38-39. God bles
  5. Every time this topic is brought up it turns out weird because crowns and rewards are spiritual and faith based, faith unseen. only God can see. only God knows what crowns and rewards truly mean in the afterlife, is probably why scripture describes it "as though somethin strange were happening to yuo" 1 Pet 4:12 Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you.
  6. So the only way to lose crowns and rewards is if a believer died without repenting that day?
  7. How can we know if we've passed or failed the test? Can we know now, or do we have to wait until we get to Bema seat to know what crowns and rewards we receive or lose.
  8. I totally agree, but how can we know while on earth if we're receiving or losing rewards?
  9. 2 Cor 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad. I guess another way to measure passing or failing is that our life improves if we've passed the test? But then again look at the 1st cent martyr's.
  10. Yes, in this life after you've come to Christ. For example, if you messed up but you also flee from the situation and turn back to God, did you fail because you messed up or did you pass because you turned back to God Is what I'm saying. That's another question. How do you know what you're going through is a test from God. When the subject is spiritual it's more confusing isn't it. What is considered a test from God? 1 Jhn 5:4-5 for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. 5Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.
  11. Students know when they've passed when the teacher gives them their grade, but how do we know when the test is spiritual. Does anyone have any scripture or websites explaining the how? Thank you. - Heb
  12. It seems to me that those written in the book of life believed and are now born again. According to these passages, if you are not written in the book of life you are a nonbeliever.. Rev 13:8 All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast—all whose names have not been written in the Lamb's book of life, the Lamb who was slain from the creation of the world. Rev 17:8 The beast, which you saw, once was, now is not, and yet will come up out of the Abyss and go to its destruction. The inhabitants of the earth whose names have not been written in the book of life from the creation of the world will be astonished when they see the beast, because it once was, now is not, and yet will come. Rev 20:15 Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire. Rev 21:27 Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life. God bless
  13. Will religin get u to heaven or will John 3:3, Rom 10:9, 1 John 5:12 do that. God bles
  14. BELIEF.. John 3:18, Rom 10:9 Yes And it gives Satan power to deceive nonbelievers into thinking God isn't just. Gen 3:1, John 8:44, 2 Thess 1:6.
  15. Riccardo, Judas died before Pentecost, before the seal of God was placed on believers, Eph 1:13-14. He was also a nonbeliever. The love of Christ is why we are forgiven at the cross. - Heb
  16. Rom 8:35, 38-39 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 38For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
  17. Ok, let me simplify. Did Peter lack saving faith or did he lack faith in general on that specific day? Matt 14:29-33 “Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!” 31Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?” 32And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. 33Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.” Luke 22:60-62 Peter replied, “Man, I don’t know what you’re talking about!” Just as he was speaking, the rooster crowed. 61The Lord turned and looked straight at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word the Lord had spoken to him: “Before the rooster crows today, you will disown me three times.” 62And he went outside and wept bitterly.
  18. Well, Eph 2:8-9 is proof that James 2 is not referring to faith that saves, it's referring to Godly righteousness. The faith that saves is only through believing and confessing. James 2 is referring to works. God bless
  19. I guess I can word that better. It's not about losing salvation, rather it's about Godly righteousness or lack thereof. It's similar to how God doesn't send believers to hell for lack of maturity in Heb 5:11-14, Heb 6:1-6. James 2:21 Was not our father Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? James 2:23 And the scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,” and he was called God’s friend. James 2:24 You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone. James 2:25 In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction? James 2:10 is why Jesus died in our place and why our sins are paid for God bles
  20. Well, we cling to the Word of God and also the finished work of the cross because they are both tangible in the hearts and minds of believers. James 2 (Faith and Deeds) is actually talking about Godly righteousness, not salvation. God bless.
  21. Eternal security is based on whether Jesus was raised or not. Either you're still in your sins or your sins have been paid for. I don't think the dead in their graves have a choice now. 1 Cor 15:12-19 But if it is preached that Christ has been raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. 14And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith. 15More than that, we are then found to be false witnesses about God, for we have testified about God that he raised Christ from the dead. But he did not raise him if in fact the dead are not raised. 16For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised either. 17And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. 18Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost. 19If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied. On the way to heaven they go. - Heb
  22. Yup, the wise virgins are referring to believers in Christ, and the oil is the indwelling Holy Spirit. The foolish virgins are nonbelievers obviously. Strong's Concordance elaion: olive oil Original Word: ἔλαιον, ου, τό Part of Speech: Noun, Neuter Transliteration: elaion Phonetic Spelling: (el'-ah-yon) Short Definition: olive oil Definition: olive oil, oil. HELPS Word-studies Cognate: 1637 élaion – olive oil (from 1636 /elaía, "olive tree"); (figuratively) the indwelling (empowering) of the Holy Spirit. While all true believers are indwelt by the Holy Spirit, none can give their oil to someone else (see Mt 25:3-8)! Each person must seek (find) the Lord for themself. 1 Thess 4:17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up (harpazó) together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Rev 12:5 She gave birth to a son, a male child, who “will rule all the nations with an iron scepter.” And her child was snatched up (harpazó) to God and to his throne. harpazó: to seize, catch up, snatch away Original Word: ἁρπάζω Part of Speech: Verb Transliteration: harpazó Phonetic Spelling: (har-pad'-zo) Short Definition: I seize, snatch, obtain by robbery Definition: I seize, snatch, obtain by robbery. 1 Thess 4:17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Right, but 1st Ress. is also mutli layered... 1. Dead believers/living believers prior to 70th week (resurrection/rapture) 2. Believers that are beheaded inside the 70th week are resurrected at the end of the 70th week, Matt 24:31. (resurrection/gathering) My personal belief is that the only people that will be alive at the end of the 70th week is Israel that fled, Rev 12:6 and nonbelievers with the mark, Rev 13:16-17. All who come to faith in Christ inside the 70th week will not make it alive. Rev 14:20 They were trampled in the winepress outside the city, and blood flowed out of the press, rising as high as the horses' bridles for a distance of 1,600 stadia.
  23. Intelligent come back. Reply tmrw. Bye.
  24. And what about the rest of us? Rev 2:26-27 To the one who is victorious and does my will to the end, I will give authority over the nations— 27that one ‘will rule them with an iron scepter and will dash them to pieces like pottery’ —just as I have received authority from my Father. Rev 12:5 She gave birth to a son, a male child, who "will rule all the nations with an iron scepter." And her child was snatched up to God and to his throne. Correct. The word harpazo is a reference to first resurrection and rapture, which is all future. What point are you trying to make here. Your thoughts are scattered.
  25. We paid, or Christ paid?
