Reconciling 6 Days with 13.7 Billion Years
BeyondET replied to SavedOnebyGrace's topic in Science and Faith
The title of the book was verse 1 before it was called Genesis. Now everything else had to be restored to make earth habitable, your story grows and grows. -

All the scholars missed the whole point, yea right, now your chief among scholars? 41% leaves alot room, yet your stuck on 59% like there's not even 41% chance it's not became a wasteland. A clay cup is formless until it is molded formed into a cup. Earth was not in the form of a planet in the beginning. -

And verse 1 is no different, everyone mentions what they plan to build. When did you get such a revelation of God's thoughts in the beginning? -

Do you know how to read all the translations of Gen 1:2 on biblehub. 99% of the translations have it as was. For the forth time Jewish people don't teach a earth that became a wasteland nor does the verse in Hebrew the original language of the Bible speak of it. -

God mentioned a ark before it was built, you can't except that just like you can't except a earth was mentioned before it was divided from the water. 1:1 is the title of the book period. -
Can satan and other demons take on a human form and live among us?
BeyondET replied to Ervin P's topic in Spiritual Warfare
Is a unclean, evil spirit, demon different than a fallen angel? Spirits are mentioned in Daniel, some ruled the kingdom of the world's in the old testament along side human kings of those kingdoms. They are referred to as a prince. Michael was one of the chief princes, in which he was held back for a little while from another prince not on the loyalty side it seems. -

This is similar in the beginning, God mentions the ark before telling how to form it, the ark was formless until the gosher wood was collected and milled and it was void of desks until it was built. It was the first and only of such a vessel. Gen 6 14Make for yourself an ark of gopher wood; make rooms in the ark and coat it with pitch inside and out. 15And this is how you are to build it: The ark is to be 300 cubits long, 50 cubits wide, and 30 cubits high. 16You are to make a roof for the ark, finish its walls a cubit from the top, place a door in the side of the ark, and build lower, middle, and upper decks. In the beginning God created earth "ark" and was hovering over the waters "gosher wood" in which earth was divided from. Like the ark the hull, desks, doors then the formation of dryland and seas, vegetation, animals, man. These accounts are no difference in creating things rather the universe or an ark. -

Anyone can look at the translations at biblehub, 99% is was not became. Again the Hebrew Bible never taught a earth that became a wasteland. That's why they are deemed mistranslations of the original scripture. It's not maybe the OT has errors in the original word of God, it doesn't. You want to justify the lxx at the expense of the original OT that's outrageous. -

Hebrews do not teach a restored earth. And if earth was restored thats implying earth was just like it is now before wasted. Biblehub does not show that 70% are rendered waste. The lxx has over 150 errors. https://www.layittoheart.com/septuagint.html -

Even Hebrew people don't teach the earth became a wasteland in verse 2 using their language. Wasn't taught in B.C. or A.D. 70% of the time it was like jer 4:23 the other 30% is like Gen 1:2 There is plenty of information about the LXX mistranslations do a search. -

The LXX has way to many errors in it. Mistranslations like tohu are prime examples all through it. It's not reliable at all. -

You still don't understanding what I mean about conception. Of scripture when man started writing. I wasn't referring to verse 1:1. Seems your obsessed with it. -

I wasn't referring to the definition of conception as childbirth. But the forming, origin, the Genesis of scripture. Once it was just the old testament then the new testament then chapter and verse numbering system in 1500's. I use to think that the numbering system wasn't supposed to be part of the Bible but I no longer believe that, they're for reasons. That has caused a uniqueness in the bible that speaks to individuals. with the numbering system the accounts have accounts within them, cross referencing greatly increases and some accounts formed with just a few verses across all the chapters in the bible The young earth theory is derived from counting the generations to the present. My question is, where in the bible doesn't it say to count and use them to know age of the heavens and earth. -

Yea I know but the other post is the one I thought you where say your comfortable with contradictions. Though I wouldn't deem them contradictions just deeper meaning. I'm sure in the bible that this generation can grasp somethings and for tomorrow's generation. Knowledge of the Bible has increased since it's conception. -

I agree it was written the other way deliberately. The other order take alot of faith but imo there are alot of those in the bible. Let there be light isn't one of the great lights that was created to shine directly on earth to support life on it. Nor the lights in an arm expanse of the milky way. The created stars as well are planets. Ancients called them wondering stars, they are the only ones that move fairly quickly. -

I'm not uncomfortable with contradictions in the Bible. Here's one I'll share. I read the days as such 1,2,4,3,5,6, 7. I don't wonder or ponder about how can trees grow without sun light. Though I am alone probably on that about the days order. Which is quite ok to be the only on the planet to believe such things but I do feel as its more fluid and logical than feeling confounded about a known truth that life needs sunlight on earth. There's days and nights on a larger plain as well. Gen 1In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2Now the earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters. 3And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 4And God saw that the light was good, and He separated the light from the darkness. 5God called the light “day,” and the darkness He called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day. The Second Day 6And God said, “Let there be an expanse between the waters, to separate the waters from the waters.” 7So God made the expanse and separated the waters beneath it from the waters above. And it was so. 8God called the expanse “sky.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the second day. The Third Day 14And God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to distinguish between the day and the night, and let them be signs to mark the seasons and days and years. 15And let them serve as lights in the expanse of the sky to shine upon the earth.” And it was so. 16God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night. And He made the stars as well. 17God set these lights in the expanse of the sky to shine upon the earth, 18to preside over the day and the night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good. 13And there was evening, and there was morning—the third day. The Fourth Day 9And God said, “Let the waters under the sky be gathered into one place, so that the dry land may appear.” And it was so. 10God called the dry land “earth,” and the gathering of waters He called “seas.” And God saw that it was good. 11Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth vegetation: seed-bearing plants and fruit trees, each bearing fruit with seed according to its kind.” And it was so. 12The earth produced vegetation: seed-bearing plants according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. 19And there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day. -
Adam was the first only endoskeleton then Eve regeneration and the rest of mankind.

The generation of Adam seems different than formed from dirt, unless dirt has generation.
