  1. I have never believed in evolution. I have read books by Hugh Ross, Norman Geisler and others trying to support a Day-Age interpretation of Genesis but I am not swayed by their arguments. I read Langford's book last, but will be reading Biblical Geology by David G. McCrillis, Th. D. soon.
  2. Flood geology (that's the scientific examination of the Earth's crust and how it changed from one flood to another). There's proof that there was a flood about 6000 years ago, some refer to this as Noah's Flood. There's also proof of another flood about 12500 years coinciding with the Younger-Dryas Flood and the melting Ice Age. The Earth has probably had more global floods, 6 or more, like these as the continents were formed and shifted. Another book I've read is A Biblical Case for an Old Earth by David Snoke.
  3. Here are a few of the books I highly recommend: THE GAP IS NOT A THEORY! by Jack W. Langford (Author) The Genesis 'Gap Theory': Its Credibility and Consequences by Michael W. J. Phelan (Author) The commentaries that come from several of my bibles: Hebrew-Greek; NIV Study Bible; NASB Study Bible; ESV Study Bible; et al.
  4. Not a very friendly website, my bad. Using the search bar gets you into articles. I was trying to get info from some other minister who I saw locally who is also on TV who I didn't list before. If you're willing to use KJV.ORG, that will answer some questions. The contemporary author I most rely on is Dr. Steven E. Dill's In the Beginnings.
  5. That's not a friendly website. My fault. I'll find someplace else to reference if you don't like the KJV.ORG quoted earlier.
  6. I've research Biblical Creation for 40+ years and continue to do so. Maybe you could use the following: Pastor David Reagan Presents Evidence for the Gap Theory from the Creation Story
  7. (Genesis 1:1) In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. (Genesis 1:2) Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness covered the surface of the watery depths, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters. Somebody mentioned the Jamison-Faucett-Brown Commentary mentioned above. Here is the full exert: (Genesis 1:1) In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. (Genesis 1:2) Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness covered the surface of the watery depths, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters. (Genesis 1:3) Then God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. (Genesis 1:4) God saw that the light was good, and God separated the light from the darkness. (Genesis 1:5) God called the light "day," and He called the darkness "night." Evening came and then morning: the first day. (Genesis 1:6) Then God said, "Let there be an expanse between the waters, separating water from water." (Genesis 1:7) So God made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above the expanse. And it was so. (Genesis 1:8) God called the expanse "sky." Evening came and then morning: the second day. (Genesis 1:9) Then God said, "Let the water under the sky be gathered into one place, and let the dry land appear." And it was so. (Genesis 1:10) God called the dry land "earth," and He called the gathering of the water "seas." And God saw that it was good. (Genesis 1:11) Then God said, "Let the earth produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and fruit trees on the earth bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds." And it was so. (Genesis 1:12) The earth produced vegetation: seed-bearing plants according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. (Genesis 1:13) Evening came and then morning: the third day. (Genesis 1:14) Then God said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night. They will serve as signs for festivals and for days and years. (Genesis 1:15) They will be lights in the expanse of the sky to provide light on the earth." And it was so. (Genesis 1:16) God made the two great lights—the greater light to have dominion over the day and the lesser light to have dominion over the night—as well as the stars. (Genesis 1:17) God placed them in the expanse of the sky to provide light on the earth, (Genesis 1:18) to dominate the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good. (Genesis 1:19) Evening came and then morning: the fourth day. (Genesis 1:20) Then God said, "Let the water swarm with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky." (Genesis 1:21) So God created the large sea-creatures and every living creature that moves and swarms in the water, according to their kinds. He also created every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. (Genesis 1:22) So God blessed them, "Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the waters of the seas, and let the birds multiply on the earth." (Genesis 1:23) Evening came and then morning: the fifth day. (Genesis 1:24) Then God said, "Let the earth produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that crawl, and the wildlife of the earth according to their kinds." And it was so. (Genesis 1:25) So God made the wildlife of the earth according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and creatures that crawl on the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. (Genesis 1:26) Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness. They will rule the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, the livestock, all the earth, and the creatures that crawl on the earth." (Genesis 1:27) So God created man in His own image; He created him in the image of God; He created them male and female. (Genesis 1:28) God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and subdue it. Rule the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, and every creature that crawls on the earth." (Genesis 1:29) God also said, "Look, I have given you every seed-bearing plant on the surface of the entire earth and every tree whose fruit contains seed. This food will be for you, (Genesis 1:30) for all the wildlife of the earth, for every bird of the sky, and for every creature that crawls on the earth—everything having the breath of life in it. I have given every green plant for food." And it was so. (Genesis 1:31) God saw all that He had made, and it was very good. Evening came and then morning: the sixth day. It may be interesting to note that NASA finally admitted in 1998 that Earth's Moon has water on it and an atmosphere (albeit a small amount near the polar regions and a thin atmosphere seen from Earth in 1920). With a 10" to 16" telescope of the time thin clouds were visible in certain areas of the Moon.
  8. The versions I read are: ESV, NASB (1995), CSB (HCSB), NIV, KJV, RSV, YLT, et al., typically. I have the RV electronically but haven't read it.
  9. I have read dozens of newer translations and books by these and other authors, theologians, geologists, etc. The list of authors is abridged by me. I have read dozens of newer translations and books by these and other authors, theologians, believers and geologists.
  10. The Hebrew scholars also believe Jesus is not the Christ. I have Pember's book but haven't read it. I have read an assortment of Christian authors like Heisler, John Stott, Walter Kaiser, Norman Geisler, William Dembski, J.I. Packer, J.P. Moreland, Philip E. Johnson, Chuck Colson, Wayne Grudem, as well the late Francis Schaefer and Old Testament scholar Gleason Archer, et al. Notable Christians Open to an Old Earth
  11. https://www.compellingtruth.org/lucifers-flood.html Lucifer's Flood Lucifer's Flood the Katabole Noah's Flood flood destroyed people. Lucifer's Flood destroyed fallen angels. The Bible is written for people, not angels.
  12. That's a term @HAZARD has used before when he distinguishes between it (Lucifer's Flood) and Noah's Flood. I see it as the flood caused by the Younger-Dryas ice age melt approximately 12,000 to 13,000 years ago as determined by ice cores. Evidence is shown by flood damage to the Spinx in Egypt and the Grand Canyon in the USA.
  13. There's geological evidence that supports both Noah's Flood and Lucifer's Flood have left their marks on the Earth in Egypt and North America when those two global floods occurred, about 13,000 years between them.
