  1. Huh like a massive star one day then supernova of raw elements creating a black hole another day. Building blocks of other stars and planetary systems. Even the gold from stars is a necessary element in the human body its quite fascinating indeed.
  2. Scripture says nothing survived outside of the ark.
  3. A underwater mountain range isn't deep. Trenches are the deepest in the ocean. After WWI is when the deeps in oceans were named Trenches. Before that they were called deeps.
  4. Then there's the world of insects, a massive bunch of different kinds of critters.
  5. A good experiment to test some of things the author is saying. Would be to make a rock out of wet soil. How long does it take for soft dirt to turn to harden rock. There are places quite similar to the Grand Canyon like Valles Marineris on Mars the largest known canyon in the solar system. Certainly there was no flood on Mars, so looking at the Grand Canyon as a product of a global flood isn't logical. Canyons are a natural feature on earth and other planets.
  6. So an error equals a hoax? The first edition of the KJV was nicknamed the "she" bible because of an error. I wouldn't consider it a hoax. Got any examples of the math errors. Verses etc. The Greek Septuagint was ordered to be made by an Egyptian Pharoah around the 3rd B.C., he wanted to add the Hebrew scriptures to his library. The original book was called "The Translation of the Seventy" yet there was 72 translators, 6 from each tribe.
  7. Or what they were able to preserve, they had quite a few enemies.
  8. The link seems to have quite a bit still around. Its a wonder that any made it. There was a few groups that tryed to wipe the bible out. In the 3rd A.D., the Roman emperor Diocletian commanded that all Bibles be destroyed, any home with a Bible in it was taken and burned. He even built a monument over what he thought was the last surviving Bible, though wasn't successful. The ottomans destroyed thousands in their quest to take land. In 100 B.C., Antiochus IV King of the Seleucid Empire brutally persecuted the Jews. He burned all the scriptures he could find and killed anyone having one, but scriptures survived. It certainly wasn't what some people wanted. They all have been reconstructed at some point or another.
  9. That's a more proper translation of verse 20. And I would agree about good doctrines. You are correct Paul's concerns wasn't just about money.
  10. The Achimedes screw worked so that was true science. Nothing false about the screw and it was good knowledge. Show me a science today thats false or has no good knowledge. FYI evolution is not a science but a theory a philosophy if you were to use it as an example.
  11. You posted one verse out of the whole context of the chapter. 1 Timothy 6:20. When that verse is included with the rest of the context. It shows what it's about. False doctrines and knowledge of making money being greedy. 1 Timothy 6 isn't talking about science. The older KJV uses the word science but the NKJV doesn't. they wised up and science isn't the word that should be used in 1 Timothy 6. Not many translations use the word science for good reason it doesn't fit the narrative in 1 Timothy 6. In chapter Acts 17 you posted philosophy is not a science not even a social science, though can be false doctrine.
  12. It wasn't knowledge or science. Just a couple of translations use the word science instead of knowledge. The passage isn't talking about medical science or engineering or anything like that.
  13. Not one in particular but you did mention all of them as in (sciences) which I don't think it's referring to sciences.
  14. So what is the difference between man's ideas and sciences. In your OP you stated both. Knowledge is man's ideas and what is the sciences you mentioned?
  15. Gold jar of manna, a staff and stone tablets was placed in the Ark or were they.
  16. The knowledge of making money. There's a science in being rich. 1 Timothy 6: is talking about false doctrines and those who have worldly knowledge of making money.
  17. Maybe God chose them not to be. I know somethings in the bible take a huge amount faith and appears in constant finds within scripture. Just because they are not in the current collection doesn't mean they are less important. They are mentioned for a reason and I don't think God's reasoning would be less important then the next.
  18. Yea it's on free domain or something like on the internet. I like the ones that are not copyrighted. I'm not against translations that want to do it, just a preference.
  19. The inscription didn't say Jesus who claimed to be the king of the Jews just the opposite. The reason the rabbis asked it to be changed from Jesus the King of the Jews. Pilate didn't change it, rather he believed it or not.
  20. Sympathy and Truth are different things. The inscription posted spoke of a truth did it not?
  21. Interesting that Pilate after talking with Jesus, referred to Him as the King of the Jews. The Rabbis didn't like the inscription mounted above the tee post thus representing a cross imo.
  22. I like a couple of versions, Pure Cambridge Edition KJV, New Heart English Bible, James Murdock peshitta English translation 1800's, Bereans.
  23. No one knows even if they had the ability to add it or not, I suspect they didn't You assume Jewish Scholars were able to make a determination on books mentioned in the bible.
  24. It being but just a simple historical footnote doesn't seem logical knowing its in the bible. So when you say footnote I understand that to be saying No it shouldn't be in the bible but below and not apart of it.
  25. Do you think it's something that shouldn't even be in the bible?. What is the purpose of the mentioning of other books?.
