The scripture in Acts are being misread and misapplied as proven by how it goes against the scriptures here in Matthew 9:17; John 6:35, & the warning against it in 2 Corinthians 11:3-4 & the prophesy of these latter days in 1 Timothy 4:1-2 and thus going against this exhortation in Colossians 2:5-10. Scripture cannot go against scripture and so believers should not be applying scripture in Acts while glossing over how it goes against His words in the N.T. Example; when Peter is filled with the Holy Ghost, it is to testify how he was speaking as by the Holy ghost rather than Peter speaking of his own volition. Acts 4:7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this? 8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel, You cannot say Peter prayed for a filling of the Holy Spirit before answering that question because Jesus said this; Matthew 10:19 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. 20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you. That is what had happened to Peter in Acts 4 when Peter and John were arrested, they were interrupted in preaching to potential believers that after they were released, Peter & John had told those company of potential believers what had happened and the new believers prayed that they would have the same boldness to preach as Peter & John had done and they were saved. We can know they were new believers by what they did after that, by how they sold everything and laid it at the apostles' feet to distribute it evenly among that NEW community of believers. So what they had prayed for, Peter & john were not filled again with the Holy Spirit when the new believers got saved for when they were wanting to preach like them. Usually, nobody in the service of the supernatural movement of the "spirit" will listen because they want to believe that phenomenon is of God, but the spirits of the antichrist does take their eyes off of the Son to chase after such visitation of phenomenon even if it is just a sensation of being filled as in receiving a spirit again. Scriptures testify that they are at risk of being left behind per the parable of the ten virgins for being out to the market seeking to be filled but while the door to the Marriage Supper is open, they can repent with His help, pray normally, ( tongues for private use is not of Him at all per 1 Corinthians 12:7-14 & 19-21 ) and chase no more after the spirits by resting in Jesus Christ as always Spirit-filled since salvation for why the wise were ready to go when the Bridegroom comes.

Paul is asking Ephesians not to get drunk as in past tense but remain filled with the Spirit. Ephesians 5:18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; That is Paul exhorting the readers to remain sober. Notice how fruit is singular in listing them as of the Holy Spirit? Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. When you have the Holy spirit, you have all those fruit listed of the Holy Spirit. If you sow to the works of the flesh, hence drunkenness, then you are not remaining filled with the fruit of the Holy Spirit called temperance which is self control. How can you as a believer apply this scriptural truth to your testimony of you believe that? Matthew 9:17 Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved. Matthew 9:17 is a about the testimony from God that we are always Spirit-filled and thus saved. How can Jesus words be true after coming to & believing in Him that we would never seek to be filled again to satisfy our hunger & thirst for God? John 6:35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. How can a believer seek a continual filling of the Holy spirit when it ignores this warning from Paul not to seek such a thing? 2 Corinthians 11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. 4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him. Indeed, we are complete in Christ for why we are exhorted to walk in Him as there is no more receiving of Him to be filled with. Colossians 2:5 For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ. 6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: 7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. 8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. 9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: Is it not after the rudiments of the world to keep receiving spirits? Compare yuch - psuche 5590. When one cannot apply all the definitions to spirit, then it is defined by how it is used in the context of the message given. Tohuw is defined as from an unused root meaning to lie waste; a desolation (of surface), i.e. desert; figuratively, a worthless thing; adverbially, in vain:--confusion, empty place, without form, nothing, (thing of) nought, vain, vanity, waste, wilderness. When defining the terms in the context of creation, earth was non-existent that first day; became a water planet with an upper atmosphere on Day 2 and God finished creating the earth on Day 3 for why He said it was good. So it is an error by those who apply the meaning of Jeremiah 4:23 to Genesis 1:2 since the context of the message is way different. As for why the plural of seas, it is for the readers of His words that at one time, all the seas were in one place. You should doubt the translation. I see God asking Job to expose his hypocrisy as he was singing with the sons of God regarding His acts in creation whenever they come together to present themselves to the Lord in worship of Him.

I would say for living things to eat right away when they were created the fifth day for marine life & sixth day for land life. So what if only parent particles were only present at creation as that is the assumption you are giving here? Maybe when science figure out how to remove daughter particles that came from parent particles by rate of decay, would the object cease to exist? Would they discover its function then? Or God had another reason to give it an age/function to it that we do not know about? As it is, I read the earth was not there that first day but just water as time was created that first day. Gravity was created that second day as earth became a water planet with an upper atmosphere before the third day when God laid the foundations of the earth, thus completing the creation of the earth in those two days whereas it did not exist at all the first day. Then the universe was created the fourth day and that is how God did it in verse 1 of Genesis. Only He can help you see it, brother.

Ponder the significance of that verse since this is about laying the foundations thereof and not remaking the wasteland.
