Nah, it indicates the end of the end of the ministry of the 2 witnesses, and the end of the reign of the antiChrist which later because he began to reign later. (approx 5 mos.) That would take us to approx. Tish b' Av and the man of sin is captured and we are raptured. They all fit! Daniel noted "on a wing of the temple".... Not in a temple. Statue? An abomination is an "image". That include a statue as well as other non statues. Will there be 2 temples? One built to be defiled right before jesus returns/ And another to be built when He returns? (see Ezek 40 -47 approx. 2 temples would be unthinkable, as well as God (as some have suggested) will destroy His own temple? I have reported that the Jewish temple mount groupe stated they would NOT build the tempe because they await the Messiah to do so, they quote Zec 12 & 13- And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD: Even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both

I think I showed this plenty of times...the Abomination of Desolation. four prophecies fulfilled in one place/time. Daniel 9-on the wing of the temple (not in a temple) Jesus -...ye shall se in the Holy Place Paul- a man showing himself sitting as God sits in the temple of God John- saw in a vision an image can speak I suspect the two witnesses are on their way here when slain

The upcoming conflict between Israel and "Palestine" will be no small thing. Israel cannot withstand the 180,000 or so missles being launched from the North. They may resort to the tactical nuclear response. The world community will step in and declare a new state of Palestine. It's border will be held together by international "peacekeepers." When you see that Jerusalem is the capitol of two nations and is "occupied" by international troops, it will be fulfilling the prophecy in Rev. of the Gentiles treading it under foot for months. It is my belief that the two witnesses will come to the scene at that time and THEY will be the two wings given to the Rev. 12 woman to take them out of Palestinian NEW territory.

From my collection of images pertaining to the return of Jesus and periferal theme (subjectively) of the role of science in explaining certain prophecies. I'll try to keep the text to a minimum. They may not be in perfect order. Hope you enjoy. Comment if you like, or don't. Or just take in the sights.

Not quite burned out, but it is sometimes slightly tedious to debate. (because this is meant to be discussiion)

I think He is seeming to simply lay out a listing of future happenings.

I don't know very much about Hansen, but Velikovsky has some shortcomings. Is 45:12- I have made the earth, forming man on it: by my hands the heavens have been stretched out, and all the stars put in their ordered places. I'm pretty sure the planets were also called "stars."

All of those changes are attributed to the impact of the asteroid in Rev8:8. (stoning by God) People have not considered or underestimated its power and the chain reactions triggered by it.

Who are the twenty four Elders around the throne of God in Rev.4:4 ?
Uriah replied to Quasar93's topic in Eschatology
THIS strongly implies that Jesus had to be atoned for. (you assert it is for having two natures) Atonement is for sins. When I say He had no sin, you say He DID. (for bearing our iniquities) Perhaps its because I have never people state it as you did about Him having sin. (you said, sure he did) THAT I said it seems like a word game. Or a way to show how slick you are. Do you TRULY believe I or anyone at this site that Jesus was NOT made sin for us? Now tell me how Jesus is wrong by saying that "no man has ascended up to heaven..." I say it is Jesus' doctrine. -

In the NLT, but not the other versions or the manuscript. I have read that he was "translated". Carried. Several examples are in scripture. Word games. And then are you then denying Jesus about no man ascending to heaven, right? -

Uriah replied to Quasar93's topic in Eschatology
Have you seen anything I wrote that warrants such a thing? There is no scripture to confirm this. John 3:13- And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. Do you deny it? And I already posted Heb 11:40- For God had something better in mind for us, so that they would not reach perfection without us. So it is clear that pre/post crucifixion, NOBODY has entered heaven but Jesus! -

Wording? atonement [ uh-tohn-muhnt ]SHOW IPA See synonyms for atonement on Thesaurus.com noun satisfaction or reparation for a wrong or injury; amends. (sometimes initial capital letter)Theology. the doctrine concerning the reconciliation of God and humankind, especially as accomplished through the life, suffering, and death of Christ. Christian Science. the experience of humankind's unity with God exemplified by Jesus Christ. Archaic. reconciliation; agreement. Dan 9:24- Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. John 17:4- I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. The idea of Jesus will follow the patern of the priest atoning for hHimself then for the people cannot be. The priest was to provide an atonement offering for the sins of himself, then for the people. He had NO sin. -

Rom 5:11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement. -

Of course. And I have always considered the reference of tthe passage as pointing to the mellenial temple per subsequent statements in it. Like many others, I consider the temple described in Ezekiel's vision as as to come in the future. For example, after Jesus returns. Ok Jesus will not build a temple, "personally". the same as Solomon's temple wasn't by his personal efforts like moving stones etc. Well, time will tell. Yet the authority of the temple mount people I cited, seems to be satisfactory to the general population as far as I can tell. Dan 8:11-Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down. Dan 8:12-And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered. Dan 8:13-Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot? Dan 11:31-And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate. Dan 12:11-And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days. I understand your position on Dan 12:11. I am seeing it somewhat as we see things written in Revelation; the narrative moves on and returns to the the previous subject.

Who are the twenty four Elders around the throne of God in Rev.4:4 ?
Uriah replied to Quasar93's topic in Eschatology
It refers to v.35. I emphesized "resurrection" there in case you would forget about checking the context. Did you? Plainly speaking, v.25 refers to v.40 and vice versa. The KJV translates Strong's G3346 in the following manner: translate (2x), carry over (1x), remove (1x), change (1x), turn (1x). I didn't see "completed" there. And it can't be the same as Enoch. You said the people that came out of the graves had glorified bodies. Enoch did not die and therefore he was not resurrected into a glorified body. Furthermore, he will return and then he will be killed. -

Well, personal digs at me, eh? ONE sacrifice! Nothing to say about Heb 11:35-40? Heb 11:35 Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection: Heb 11:36 And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment: Heb 11:37 They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented; Heb 11:38 (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and and in dens and caves of the earth. Heb 11:39 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise: Heb 11:40 God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect. Jhn 5:25-Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live. Jhn 5:26-For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; Jhn 5:27-And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man. Jhn 5:28-Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, Jhn 5:29-And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. So, inumeral resurrections? Anyplace to find in the bible when the 24 were resurreected? Jesus says the resurrection will be on one day. Heb 11:39-All these were approved through their faith, but they did not receive what was promised, Heb 11:40-since God had provided something better for us, so that they would not be made perfect without us. -

Does this mean they already have their new, glorious bodies. When were they resurrected? How many resurrections are there? Here is one...Rev. 123- And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. -
Using common sense to understand the abomination that causes desolation
Uriah replied to Shilohsfoal's topic in Eschatology
The Little Horn Dan 8:9-And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land. Dan 8:10-And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them. Dan 8:14-And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed Dan 8:21-And the rough goat is the king of Grecia: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king. Any thoughts on these? So, one of the above is what Jesus referred to as the one yet to come? Or He was referring the Roman general TITUS? NERO? Daniel 9:27 says, even up to the "consummation"! (the ultimate END) What was poured out on this desolator? Why did JESUS make the claim of the "Holy Place?" We may be more on-track with each other than it seems. It seems I get the feeling that there could be some misunderstanding. -
