OSAS  Believer here......The spokesperson for Jesus in this Age of Grace was Paul. Paul said if we believed his Gospel in 1 cor 15 we would be saved.Jesus revealed this to Paul . Why would anybody NOT be a OSAS Believer, unless Jesus lied to Paul and ,in turn , Paul lied to us.

I pity you because you lead others astray. I preach nothing. I warn others that if you abandon God's Law and Commandments, then you are on a dangerous path. If you have not the Laws and Commandments, how might you teach a sinner the way of the Lord? Yeshuah kept the law that He gave to us. He demonstrated how to do this. Those that are in Christ also should revere His laws. You can not be 'spiritual' if you call the law into question. The basis of a believer's life should be grounded on the Commandments of Yeshuah.
He said, "If you love me, keep my Commandments". And whilst the salvation purposes of the Lord are being worked out, we are given the freedom to oppose sin that we had not experienced before we were saved. This was NOT freedom to ignore the Commandments of Yahweh. Saul says just that.

And covenants are LAYERS. New augments old. It does NOT replace it.

Covenants are not layered.  The Old Covenant was written on stone, the New Covenant is written on our hearts.  “ I will REMOVE from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.” A REPLACEMENT — not a  “layer “. It appears you may have lead some astray.

  3. oops, you misplaced shame, and bore false witness.

......  go try and find a new creature in Christ Jesus.

watch them for a month.  (YHWH WILLING).    Be prepared for the shock of your life (or SURPRISE! anyway)

i thought we were discussing Paul’s remarks concerning circumcision that were in Galations where he says that the only thing that matters is whether we have been changes into a new creation or not. I didn’t notice you were referencing Corinthians. I thought you were deliberately misquoting Scripture, that’s why I got so incensed. For that I owe you an apology. In regards to the quote you used from  Corinthians, iam in total agreement that keeping the commandments is vital and of utmost importance.God did not give these commandments to be a Cosmic Killjoy—- as I have said before , they are for the good of everybody......disobey and WE are the ones who pay the price. No different than the rules we set for our children—- I have a daughter who does not always like or understand my rules, but my love for her is what drives these rules. If she is wise, she will obey them.Same with us and Gods laws for our lives. Great as they are, they have nothing to do with our Justificatin,Sanctification or Salvation—— those are the rewards for our faith in the Blood of Jesus.Again, sorry I misunderstood your earlier post, the first and last error I will make in 2018. Lol

  4. You are living by the old covenant. We are no longer married to the law. Read Rom 7. In christ we live by the spirit. The holy spirit gives us a new nature. We walk by love.

If you teach that then I pity you.

wow......the revelation of a complete and total ignorance of the will and ways of God....a rejection of walking in love, Sabbath keeping is more important to God......beliefs that would make a stiff-necked Pharisee blush!

Paul said if you add to his Gospel you are perverting it.....if you go further and actually teach it to others, you are damned....to your credit, you are not shy about announcing your fate to the world. I can only hope that others will join me in prayer for you.Of course there are some that should not be prayed for.

Not comparing anybody to Hitler, but I believe he was the man who said  “ if you are going to tell a lie- make it a big one! This is the most blatant, sinful misquotation of Scripture that I have ever witnessed? “ for in Christ Jesus, neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but a new creature “. Shame on you.

You  could fill a warehouse with what I don’t know about the End Times. I have no desire to have any dog in this fight.....I am not qualified to offer much value to this debate......Shiloh is an old fan of Zola Levitt, and I thought he would enjoy the quote, that’s all I was trying to accomplish.God bless

  8. It is the Palestinians who want the Jews and Christians out of Jerusalem and the entire state  of Israel wiped out.   You have no wisdom or understanding.

The late and great Zola Levitt used to say that the Palestinian thinking in these matters went something like this.....paraphrasing.......” First we kill all the pigs ( the Jews, naturally) ,The we will go after the dogs ( Americans)   Pure Satanic hatred.

  9.

I thought I said “weak Believers” were saved Believers.....if I made an error somewhere please forgive, I am not here to argue with you. I am only addressing new Believers in the hope that they will be strong in their faith......not weak.

  10. Saying you don't need to follow any rules, and you can run around and live however you want, is part of the OSAS doctrine. A clear manipulation of scripture.

Do you do what Jesus says? What did Jesus say: "If ye love me, keep my commandments."

”Rule following” is great ! I’m all for it ! Count me in! Gods rules are for our own good—-the more of them I follow, the better-off I am. I thank Him for His Commandments!      Unfortunately, rule following does not save anybody. That’s why the Good News is indeed, good news! Paul’s Gospel thAt SAVES is found in 1cor15:1-4. I hope new Believers understand that faith and faith alone is what saves. I also  hope that they read Romans 15, so when the dust settles from this debate, they will clearly see that Believers obsessed with what days to worship etc are saved Believers who are merely  as Paul says “weak Believers”. Please ignore the first sentence in the above quote—-it is not true, I don’t believe it and I never said it. God bless and strive to be strong in the faith!

The WORD (Christ) gave us the Law. He expects us to keep it. "If you love me, keep My Commandments".

( not the Pharisaical additions to the law)

Saul agreed with that as well. We are in Christ Yeshua Messiah. He is the one that gave us the Law and the Commandments.

The Torah exists in perpetuity from Yahweh - The father and transcribed and given by Yeshua the Son.
We honor Him by observing and keeping His Law and His Commandments.

Jesus wants us to keep His commandments.....He gave us two. .”Love God and Love your neighbor as yourself” . If you desire more laws, Take it up with Him.New Believers should NEVER let themselves be brought back under the Law —- if you break one law ,you have broken them all says James.Go with Faith....not easy at times, but at least POSSIBLE.Keeping the Law is not possible, at least that is what Peter said. God bless

    Tell me clearly and plainly.

    1) Did Jesus teach how to keep the Sabbath?

    or

    2) Did Jesus teach against keeping the Sabbath?

Jesus taught us HOW to keep the Sabbath....the way it was INTENDED. Not as a burden ,but as a blessing. To this day we have Orthodox Jews who plant different articles of clothing one mile from their homes one day in advance so they can call these different spots “home” and this made it “ legal “ to pretty much go wherever they wanted to go.Does any sane person believe this was Gods intention when He tried to bless Israel with this law? For those of us no longer under law, Jesus made it clear through His secretary Paul ( I use that term “secretary” because The Holy Spirit told Paul what to write ,Paul  merely put the pen to paper ) that it was the “weak  Believer” who concerned himself with such matters as this. I would hope new Believers see this clearly and strive to be strong Believers.God bless

  13.  I have been a serious Bible student for 35 years.....reading the Bible means nothing if you do not understand it.    I have said essentially all I believe in regard to salvation on my last post.i believe in faith in the shed Blood of My Savior— plus nothing!  Using the Bible, please go through my previous post and let me know where I am wrong. Thanks and God bless.

  14. Thank you for sharing your story.....we have much i common.I too have never had an interest in “playing Church “ . Despite the many well- intentioned, and friendly people in a lot of churches, I go to where the best teaching is.Boring sermons about how to be a good , moral person has its place ,I suppose. But personally, I ain’t interested. I want to hear the Good News,The Gospel thAt saves . The Gospel thAt Jesus revealed to Paul in 1Cor15.  That says Jesus died for our sins ,and was dead, buried and resurrected after the third day. “Following Jesus “ and  “reading the Bible “ are great things, and I firmly believe they will follow Salvation,  yet they play no part in Paul’s Gospel thAt SAVES. The only thing that Abraham did was BELIEVE a promise of God.For that simple faith God declared him “Righteous” or perfect in His eyes.Paul once declared himself “chief of sinners”. Ha ! When I see Paul in Heaven I’m going to say “ step aside”. He should have met me before he made such a remark!  Any man with an ounce of insight and honesty knows he is not perfect and sins every hour of every day,if not in deed at least in thought—- no matter how many times one reads the Bible and no matter how sincere one might be about following Jesus. All good things ,but they ain’t The Gospel. Paul says we are to follow him as Paul follows Christ. I have done my part by believing the Gospel and now it is up to God to do His part——to put it crudely , the monkey is on His back to “finish the work that He started. It has worked for me .  “The Righteous shall L I V E by faith” God bless !

  15.

Instead of doing the Father's Word,  as Jesus Said,  you tryin to climb the fence ?   hint: won't work.

If you want to obey Jesus, to see heaven, to hear the Shepherd's Voice,  you agree with Jesus - you must be perfect.

    Thumbs Up

I do what God said to do....” BELIEVE in the One He sent”.....

Perfection in these fleshly bodies? If we could accomplish that Jesus died in vain.Since you don’t understand why the Law was given and you magically do what Peter and Paul could not , let’s see how you measure up with James.I have yet to meet a legalists who would discussed those darned old “Sins of Omission”....How many homeless people have you invited into your home lately? Spent any time at the hospitals cheering up the sick? Did you spend all your spare time at the soup kitchen? I thought not. I’ll leave you with this cheerful observation that legalists choose to ignore——if you break ONE Law ,you have broken them all.

JESUS said DO and DONTS.    just let it sink in.

IF we don't keep his sayings.................well, be prepared to hear I never knew you.    so much for religion eh.

God gave the Jews 613 commandments .Nobody kept them. Not Peter, who said “ we nor our fathers kept them” nor Paul who said the law was an impossible system..That’s bad news for those who think they must keep the Law in order to be saved. It gets much worse. The “ dos and donts “ of Jesus were like the Law on steroids.I have no desire to commit adultery, but Jesus taught that a lustful thought was just as sinful. How ya doin’ with that one? Trust me ,I could go on and on with the “ sayings “ that you don’t keep, but let’s get right to the grand daddy of them all.... “ You are to be PERFECT , even as your Father in Heaven is perfect.Just let that sink in........I sure am happy that I don’t have to measure up to that standard. I found a way out.I hope you do also,so that when you stand before Jesus and try to impress Him with your ability to keep His sayings ,,,you will not have to hear “depart from me—-I NEVER knew you. Best of luck with your religion on that Day!

  17.

I researched purgetory not long ago and found the very idea repulsive.....the more I learned the more it broke my heart.....an unbiblical fairy tail ,which at its very core says the precious Blood of our Saviour is not capable of purging the sins of  man. “ we “ have to be willing to be punished for the sins that Christ somehow couldn’t handle. His blood has no more power than the ancient Jewish sacrifices. It effectively reduces the value of the blood of Jesus to that of A goat. Not that much of a stretch from a belief in purgatory to a belief that Mary is a god.

Thanks for clearing that up.  That is an interesting take on the passage in 2 Corinthians.  Yes, we should be trying to restore sinful Christians that are willing to repent.  Was Paul speaking of the man that was turned over to Satan?  Perhaps he was.  I wonder about the woman he was committing fornication with.  Did she come to repentance?

Butero.....According to McGee’s commentery, the woman was not a member of the Church, and he apparently was not concerned with her.....at least not at this time.....perhaps never.

Restoring A Sinning Saint (2:5-13) Let me remind you that in Paul's first letter to the Corinthian church, he rebuked them because they were permitting gross immorality in the congregation. In fact, they had a case of incest in their congregation, and they were shutting their eyes to it. (Yet they were acting as if they were very spiritual!) This kind of gross immorality was something that was even shocking to the heathen; yet the congregation was ignoring it. Paul had written them to get this matter straightened out. He read the riot act to them. He told them, "...put away from among yourselves that wicked person" (1Cor. 5:13). The congregation did listen to Paul. They excommunicated the man. But if any have caused grief, he hath not grieved me, but in part: that I may not overcharge you all. Sufficient to such a man is this punishment, which was inflicted of many [2Cor. 2:5-6]. They had obeyed Paul. They had excommunicated the man, which was the right thing for them to do. Then the man acknowledged his sin and came under great conviction. Now what ought they to do? They should forgive him. So that contrariwise ye ought rather to forgive him, and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with overmuch sorrow. Wherefore I beseech you that ye would confirm your love toward him [2Cor. 2:7-8]. "He will be overwhelmed, not only because of his sin, but because you won't receive him. So now put your arm about him, and restore him to your fellowship." To the Galatian believers Paul wrote: "Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted" (Gal. 6:1). For to this end also did I write, that I might know the proof of you, whether ye be obedient in all things. To whom ye forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ; Lest Satan should get an advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices [2Cor. 2:9-11]. You see, the Devil tries to push us one way or another. Sometimes the Devil gets us to shut our eyes to gross immorality. There are many instances of that in our churches today. I know one preacher who has had trouble with women in three different churches. Each church he went to serve knew his past record, and still they accepted him as pastor! In shutting their eyes to gross immorality, they were hurting the cause of Christ Jesus.

Butero......sorry that I did not go into enough detail in my original post......when I said “chastised” and “ brought back” , I was referring to the fact that he had been ejected from the Church and brought back into the fellowship after he had truly repented. I included the Vernon McGee comments because he explains it better than me.Also I am a one-fingered typist who hates to type.lol God bless

i agree with most of what you say but i have difficulty here as for me if i was to stay  in my cage i would be stunted spirtiually is my thougts

I was just trying to make the point that God’s laws are for our own good and our own protection, they should not be “burdensome”. I hope this canary knows that keeping these laws will save him or keep him saved....I have been a freeman in Christ for many years. I know the Truth.....and the Truth has “set me free”..... as promised by Jesus. This is what young Believers need to understand—right up front—Christianity is not a religion  , “Islam with a cross on it” some wise soul said.Jesus did not come to preach some new religion of “do do this and don’t do that”.He preached Himself.Jesus saves.Period.
