  1. I think of the pre-trib leaving the sheep unprepared. When faced with reality some may even fall from faith when the tribulation happens. Mat 18:6 "But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea.
  2. The Days of Noah were only missed for the unsaved. The saved were on an Ark but still on the earth.
  3. It actually does help. We can use the OT quotes to aid with Greek translations of the same passages. Also Peter was indwelled with the Holy Spirit so it was the Holy Spirit guiding Peter.
  4. They are both grafted onto the root but they are called Israel. Paul even says they are fellow citizens of the Common Wealth of Israel. In Roman's 9:24-25 Paul quotes Hosea for the combined Jews and Gentiles. Hosea is talking about Israel in that verse that Paul quotes. Rom 9:24 even us whom He called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles? Rom 9:25 As He says also in Hosea: "I will call them My people, who were not My people, and her beloved, who was not beloved."
  5. I believe the church is grafted into Israel so Israel and the church are treated the same because they are the same. Romans 11 talks all about the gentiles being grafted into Israel.
  6. Are you serious? The tribulation will be horrifying. We are not asking anyone to die but still they will. Christ said there will be tribulation and if the days were not cut short the elect may even have perished. That means the elect will be there. I have accepted that I may die and I ask God to lead me to follow his will. That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it. And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
  7. As key identifiers to tie two or more areas of scripture together.
  8. I use the Woes as markers along with the great earthquake.
  9. Well the 144k do come back with Christ and follow him where he goes. Oh and the Bride for an Israelite should should be a virgin and chaste. What scripture do you have for a pretrib bride?
  10. I think the 144K are all of Israel but without speculation I will stick with the 144K number. I am not saying the 144K are the only ones saved like the JWs think. I think they are the bride/elect. I think they help witness to the persecuted. Rev 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
  11. I agree with this. I think the 144K, the Two Witnesses and the Woman of Rev 12 are all the same group. I still think they are the bride though. That is our Pretrib vs. PostTrib differences.
  12. Yet the scriptures say the 144,000 are virgins. These are not the original Israelite's that Married God the Father. He divorced the House of Israel. Also where does it say they are on earth while the marriage is going on?
  13. That is the point the Post-Tribs are trying to show. All the scripture about the resurrection/rapture is dated nullifying the pre-trib position.
  14. They are Israelite's and why can they not be the bride? How many are called first fruits other than Christ? They follow the lamb where ever he goes and show up with him first. Lets look at their attributes: Rev 7:4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel. Rev 14:1 Then I looked, and there before me was the Lamb, standing on Mount Zion, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father’s name written on their foreheads. Rev 14:4 These are those who did not defile themselves with women, for they remained virgins. They follow the Lamb wherever he goes. They were purchased from among mankind and offered as firstfruits to God and the Lamb. 5 No lie was found in their mouths; they are blameless.
  15. Most likely 1 thess 4:13-18 falls right in the middle or just before Rev 19. 9Then the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!” And he added, “These are the true words of God.”
  16. The Context of 1 Cor 15;50-53 is the resurrection. Read the prior verses. 42So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption
  17. I believe the 144K are Israelites. Are you disputing that they are with Christ when he comes back and that they are always with him after that?
  18. Where does it say the whole church must go through the Great Tribulation including the dead? Christ is the one that said the living go through tribulation. The Great Tribulation happens to those that are living the those days. 15When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) 16Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: 17Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: 18Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. 19And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! 20But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: 21For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
  19. The point is many people have been through persecutions and tribulations. There is no need for the dead in Christ to go through the Great Tribulation. They have finished the race already. If they are in Christ then they will be resurrected in Christ.
  20. As a whole world yes. But is it any worse for the individual? We have been through Bubonic Plagues, Flu, WWI, WWII, Dark Ages, Persecution. If you are killed by a Nuke or by a car crushing you does it matter to the individual after it happens? The Jewish people were put into death camps.
  21. People have been in tribulation for a long time. The apostles and the early church did not fare well against the Pharisees and the Romans. The dark ages were not that great. Tribulation is nothing new for the individual. The Great Tribulation will be a world tribulation. The dead in Christ have already had their own tribulations.
  22. So you think Christ leaves his bride? Who is with Christ and never leaves his side? Rev 14:1 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads. Rev 14:4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. 5And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.
  23. Who are members of the first group that are appointed to wrath? No believers are appointed to wrath. What do you think God's Wrath is? What do you think the tribulation is?
  24. The living go through tribulation. Anyone that is unrepentant is not part of the church. Dead believers are already part of the church and their tribulations are over.
