  1. Those who wanted a status in regard to our church reopening. We started attending together again all while ignoring social distancing back on April 15th. As of now, no one has gotten sick not even from a cold, let alone from the corona virus. One lady did have a colonoscopy where they were checking for a possible tumor due to numbness she was having, but praise the Lord no tumors. However the anesthesiologist somehow put the tube in wrong and it caused breathing issues and they have said she has developed pneumonia (they tested her for corona virus but it came back negative). She is doing well now and has already come back to church. At church we are meeting twice a week and all is well. Also wanted to add that I have had a couple of rather large gatherings at my home spending time in prayer and praise! And that my friends, God is blessing!
  2. What is the end game? When all of this "shut down and stay in your home " stuff started it was to flatten the curve so the hospitals wouldn't be overwhelmed. But then the shut downs continued and the reasoning changed from flatten the curve to we are saving lives. It sounds like a noble cause, however, how do we really do that? When all the shut downs end, then what? Everyone must go back out into the real world where disease and death exist. The Lord has not come back to finally defeat death, so death still exists and is part of life. So everyone goes back out into the world, there will still be deaths from cancer, heart disease, flu, corona virus, car accidents, etc... as the list goes on. The ones most susceptible will be the ones that stayed safely in their homes. Those who stayed out and lived their lives and developed more of a herd immunity will be less susceptible. But either way, there will be an increase in cases and more death. Then what, do we all go back into our homes again and shut everything back up? Do we stop all business, all human interaction? What about when cold weather comes again and the virus picks back up? What then? Do we then plan of closing everything down again? With the reasoning "its all to save lives" there is no end game unless it is the end game of darkness to see the governments of this earth to collapse, to see freedoms gone and that is a very real end game.
  3. When the patriots of our country went against a King, against their native country and professed a belief in God and incorporated this in their constitution do you think they were making a bad example? When something is wrong you stand against it. The judge is wrong. If a judge decreed that Sunday could no longer be observed united again, or for us that keep the Sabbath. Then we should say, oh well, a judge said it so we must obey after all what would others think? That isn't standing for light. I know some hate having abortion referred to but within our country, abortion is legal supported by our Supreme Court but I will continue to speak out against it and will stand against it as it is a blight against our nation. But by your reasoning we should simply accept it, after all it was decreed by the Supreme Court.
  4. Seems interesting that is the only thing you address in this post. When the Lord God created the mankind He established the Sabbath and his laws. If we are not allowed to worship and assemble isn't that in violation to the command of the Lord? The Lord created man with freedom of will which means that man has been free to obey or to sin, but when they violate the ways of the Lord there are consequences. Slavery is an example. Let me ask you LadyKay is slavery established by God or was freedom? Are you a proponent of slavery? If not, why not? Do you think man has the God given right to be free?
  5. If you call pitching a fit a cry for others to pray, for others to stand for the Lord, for others to stand for the Light, for others to stand for our freedoms (God given), If it is pitching a fit to cry with an aching heart as I see so much heartache as I have seen businesses close, increases in suicides, family members denied the right to see their loved ones in hospitals as they pass away. Friends and neighbors denied the freedom to go to funerals to pay respects. If it is pitching a fit to cry when simple freedoms of playing in a park with your little child causes you to be arrested. If declaring that in America, we should have the right to assemble, the right to worship as we see fit, if that is pitching a fit.... then so be it. A fit I will pitch. ?
  6. I realize that there will be much destruction prior to the return of the Lord. I also believe our nation has sinned greatly before the Lord. But to stand for what is right, to cry out for mercy is not against the will of the Lord. To be a voice of light is needed, I believe there will be a revival, a harvest of mercy prior to the Lord's return. There are people without jobs. Last week in Tennessee for example there were more suicides than deaths from this virus. People are losing their savings, their homes, their jobs... People are being denied basic care as hospitals put their own workers on furlough without enough to do... just in case the space is needed. I have seen men decide who is allowed to prosper and who is not. I believe mercy is always in the Lord's will. I know with a word all of this could be gone as my Lord has all power. But the battlefield is here with mankind. Darkness wants all to fail, they wish to destroy the light. Men and Women must stand for the light, they must become voices of light and lights of love. When it is the darkest is when the light needs to shine the brightest!
  7. Wise and practical not to worship the Lord in united light? Yep, we definitely disagree. I feel those that want to stay home, then do so. But quit taking the freedoms away from those who do not want to hide in their homes.
  8. “I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve.” … Japanese Naval Marshal General Isoroku Yamamoto An act of war by the Japanese navy when they attacked Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941 did awaken the American people and our nation came together as never before in our history. The heartbeat of liberty and freedom still beats within many American hearts but it appears to be at rest in most. There has been no attack by a foreign government in our current constitutional crisis but the freedoms protected for so many years are once more under attack. While we sleep the enemy removes our rights and freedoms and it appears that most Americans are content to stay under house arrest and allow our God-given rights and liberties to be removed. “The shot heard round the world” is a phrase that refers to the opening shots fired at the Battle of Concord on April 19, 1775 which began the American Revolutionary War that led to our freedom from the tyrannical rule of the British Empire. Will there be an action that will awaken our fellow Americans to the tyranny that grows stronger each day? Will we wise up, rise up, and win or will we grow to accept what so many are calling our new normal? The Wuhan virus is not the crisis that we face as a nation, the enemy we face has attacked us with strength and aggression and seeks to remove our ability to fight as the Japanese did at Pearl Harbor. The enemy seeks to destroy our economy, our families, our churches, our freedoms and liberties and our way of life. Will there be another, “shot heard round the world” or will we simply surrender unto the tyranny that grows each day? Voices for truth must rise up, for the voices of those who seek to destroy our God-given rights are ever loud and obnoxious. How long will the voices for liberty be silenced?
  9. We definitely see this differently. If this man was in China and He insisted in meeting with those of like believe to worship Jesus but the communist government who is in charge demanded that no one could meet to worship Jesus together would you side with the government or with the believers? When Jesus was crucified, the government in charge demanded that the Apostles quit preaching the name of Jesus, should they have obeyed and stayed home? This man is being an example of strength against unfair laws against the constitution of America, against united worship in the Lord. I guess we could close our churches and simple meet on line, but that would not be the same and will never be the same. I say, open the churches, unite the light, stand against the darkness and against wrong. Wrong is wrong even if government authorized.
  10. I noticed that you also posted this under controversial issues. I read the article. It is amazing how words are chosen and only some facts are given to slant articles. The reported called the pastor "rebellious". Rebellious against what? Against the constitution which allows the right to assembly and allows religious freedom or rebellious against unconstitutional orders? The article tells you nothing of this man and his congregation. Just because the man opens the church which is suppose to be legal in this country, I see no mandatory attendance. He may offer other options of worship, but also offers the option of attending in person. Our church does the same. We offer on line options or to attend in person. Thus far, all of our congregation that is local are attending. Our governor has posted no restrictions in regards to this so I'm not fighting against the local government as this pastor in Louisiana is doing, but I do not condemn him so readily and easily in regards to his standing up for the freedom to worship. I see no demands on his part that those who desire to stay home can't. So many that desire to stay home condemn those that choose not to. In our state that is a group called "Reopen SC". They had a peaceful protest in Columbia, SC this past Friday wanting our state to open all businesses. It is amazing a group that says all must stay in their homes showed up protesting the protest! But they came out of their homes, broke social distancing to do so!
  11. There is so much power, so much beauty in prayer before the Lord. I hope this helps and encourages some in this forum. I know that though there are numerous things that all of us do not agree upon. Hopefully we can agree upon the beauty of our Lord and how prayer can bring us unto that beauty.... and that beauty definitely helps during this time... Prayer Brings Me unto the Beauty I saw the wildflowers growing in the field as I walked by and I lifted my hands unto the Lord, The sun was warm upon my face as I watched the hawk fly majestically in the blue sky above. I walked along the path and I heard the sounds of life from the trees that lined the green meadow, The beauty of my God is all around me, and in his creation, I greatly rejoice and lift my voice. I sing for I can not be silent, I sing for it is the response of my heart to the beauty of the Lord, I come to a small stream and I sit, and I listen to the gentle sounds of the water passing by. My heart is at peace, and the sound of the water soothes my troubled soul for the Lord is nigh, Life has been hard and I needed this journey unto the midst of the beauty of the Lord’s creation. The sounds of the city are no more as I sit and allow the sounds of the forest to soothe my cares, In this place I see the Lord’s beauty and I find peace, but is not his beauty found in all the earth? I bow and I pray for I desire to find the beauty in others and I desire to know peace in all things, In the quietness of nature I find peace, but also in the quietness of prayer I find peace and calm. Can prayer be my meadow of wildflowers, can prayer be the gentle breeze upon my face? There is peace in the presence of the Lord that can fill my heart even in troubling times. To walk in nature is pleasant and brings the beauty and power of the Lord unto me, But in the stillness of prayer is not the beauty and power of the Lord not also felt and seen? Prayer transcends, prayer transcends time and place for prayer takes me unto a holy place, Prayer brings me unto the throne of glory and lifts me unto the place where His beauty dwells. The beauty of the Lord is seen in all creation and the beauty of the Lord is also found in prayer, Prayer can be my meadow and my quiet stream for prayer brings the beauty of the Lord to me.
  12. Should I change my name.... wait, maybe I can find a tigger mask.
  13. Ok, a duel then..... a war of wit at 30 paces! But I do hate having war with an unarmed man! On a more serious note, I hope your medical problems do improve. But at least with me in South Carolina and you in Oklahoma, with a mask on and in your home, I don't think I will influence your health. I least you get to enjoy good, nutritious, healthy debate!
  14. Ooohhh a threat of physical harm. Tsk, Tsk, Tsk.
  15. So we aren't in agreement.... big surprise. Perhaps look at all the numbers not just the ones that suit you.
  16. Oh humor, sorry I missed it. Reminds me of the story where a new inmate was in his prison cell. His cell mate suddenly yelled out "64", inmates down the hall started laughing. Then the new inmate heard a voice down the hall yell, "101", and he heard his cell mate and other laugh. So the new inmate asked his cell mate, "what is going on? What is so funny?" His cell mate explained that they all had been in there so long that they had memorized jokes and numbered them and that it was easier just saying the number. The new inmate of course wanted to try this so he said what is a good one that I can tell. His cell mate said number 44 is a great one! So the new inmate shouted out "44" but there was complete silence. With puzzlement he looked at his cell mate and asked, "what happened?" The cell mate looked at him and said, "What can I tell you, some people just don't know how to tell a joke."
  17. So sorry for your impatience. Don't live my life at my computer. Perhaps when you say jump, I should say how high on the way up! Well that is what my dad would tell me.
  18. Not all have fear and panic however I do see a lot of it. Some tell me that they wear masks to protect others.... yet I see them wearing masks even while they drive! Now that is protecting to the extreme!?
  19. I'm glad you aren't afraid, you're just cautious. Of course I'm not fat either, I just have relaxed muscle. Also I don't snore.... I just breath heavy.
  20. Here is Webster's definition: any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods. Please note the word "administration". Our governments, federal, state, city are all trying to regulate the production and distribution of goods and services by determining by their own criteria as to what is essential and what is not essential. Socialism.
  21. Sounds like you are using caution and reason but still attempting to live your life. Good for you.
  22. I don't trust the figures submitted by the media or by so called medical experts. I look around me and I truly believe more have had this virus than they realize and recovered with mild symptoms or with no symptoms at all. Our solution of quarantine isn't working and is killing more than it is helping. We are prolonging the sickness, we are causing more ruined lives, more suicides and devastating our economy. The so called cure is far worse than this virus. We need to let herd immunity take its course. I have a nephew who is a doctor's aid in a hospital. He is on furlough where they don't have enough work because of the lack of cases and the hospitals limitation of other needs. The army opened a field hospital in the state of Washington near Seattle. They were open for one month without ever treating anyone for this virus and closed it up. In my life, I don't know of anyone that has contacted this virus. Several believe they may have the virus and were sick, doctors told them it was some kind of virus, others were told it was a respiratory infection... this was before the virus was brought to everyone's attention and before testing for it. The majority are recovering from this. Many are dying of other causes, but if they had heart disease and die after contracting the virus the cause if labeled the virus. The virus is being blamed for most deaths. I bet deaths labeled for other things are on a decline as more and more is blamed on the virus. As I stated before..... laughable examples..... man's parachute doesn't open (died of the virus), man attacked by shark (died of virus). Not truth but definitely based on the truth of the situation.
  23. Did you see in the news where a masked man came to the rescue of a masked man who was being robbed by a masked man!
  24. I know there will some will hate this post. For some reason every time abortion is mentioned in anything some seem to get their back up which is sad considering this is a Christian forum. But here goes.... The power of freedom is not found in thought for all are free to think as they desire. The power of freedom is found in words and in actions for true freedom allows expression of the mind and expression of the heart, for true freedom allows the free will of mankind to be brought forth in thoughts, words and actions. If you are not free to express your faith, belief, and opinions you are not free, and if you are not free to assemble to worship and to gather with friends, neighbors, and family you are not free. To be ordered to surrender your rights as men and women, as children of the Lord, is a violation of the rights granted by our Creator. The rights of mankind are God-given rights from our Creator and any removal of these heavenly granted rights is an action against the will of the Lord. The right to life is a God-given right, so, therefore, murder is against God as we see in the murder of the unborn through abortion. It is not a woman’s right or freedom to choose to commit murder for murder removes the God-given right to life, and violation of the rights and privileges granted by the Almighty God are sins and violations against the Lord. Our freedom to worship and live our lives according to the will of the Lord are being removed by the powers of darkness, for there is evil in this world that is against all light and against all that believe in the Creator and in his divine power and in the freedom and liberty granted unto all who are created in his image and likeness. Why do we look to man to restore rights already granted from on high? We need to cry out in prayer and seek our Creator and our God to defeat all who seek to remove the rights and freedoms granted unto all mankind by the power of his divine word. Let hearts be turned unto the Lord, and upon bended knee let us cry out for our God to be mighty for us in this time when evil has once more risen up against those who believe in the freedom and liberty granted by the Lord.
  25. Fear and panic is the norm apparently. People have to get out and herd immunity will take place. I would rather trust in my God than trust in government, with an agenda to take away all rights. Our country is already fighting too many who think socialism is the way to go. To decide which businesses are necessary or which ones aren't is socialism.
