  1. Romans 3:23 For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Sin takes us further then we had ever intended on going. When we give into sin, It pulls us down to doing things that we never thought we could do. Romans 7:15 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do Sin never only hurts just the person who sinned. It brings pain, suffering, distress, shame, guilt, damage, hurt, harm and consequences to the one who sins and to others who one sins against or to those who may know you. Galatians 5:19-21 19The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. As born again Christians, we are to try and avoid sin, however even at our greatest attempts to avoid sin and live right before God, we fall short. We sin! Sometimes we sin so badly that we cant seem to find forgiveness for ourselves from ourselves. The questions then remain for Christians are: How do we forgive ourselves and move on? As we realize that we have a loving saviour, Jesus Christ. The very first act of forgiving ourselves is to seek his forgiveness first. Psalm 32:5 Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, "I will confess my transgressions to the LORD." And you forgave the guilt of my sin. Know you are not above Christ! What does this mean? If Christ has forgiven you ( which he has if you confessed them to him and ask his pardon) Are you then greater then he, by saying I will not forgive myself? You see we follow the example of Christ, we learn from him, what he does we are to do. Paul tells us plainly that there is “now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1). He also says that “if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new” (II Corinthians 5:17). If you continue to condemn yourself and not forgive yourself after receiving the grace and forgiveness of Christ, then you are setting yourself above him. This may sound harsh, however Christ has paid the highest price for you and holding unforgiveness against yourself after he forgives you, then what are you doing for what he's done for you? Proverbs 28:13 People who conceal their sins will not prosper, but if they confess and turn from them, they will receive mercy. The second act of forgiving yourself and moving on is: ( if possible) make things right with anyone whom you may have hurt. A) apologize with a sincere heart. B) show love Galatians 5:13-14 For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself. If this isn't possible (because the person that you hurt won't receive this) you must: A) show them respect and give them the distance they need! B) pray for them! C) know that whatever there response is toward you, this will not alter Christ's decision to forgive you! The third act toward forgiving yourself and moving on is to turn over a new leaf! whatever the sin was, there is always a way of righteousness to replace it. Isaiah 1:17 Learn to do good... Colossians 3:5-6 So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don’t be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world. Because of these sins, the anger of God is coming. Thanks for reading, may this help you to forgive yourself and begin new! God bless ?
  2. What society calls worship seems very different then what Christ says. John 4:23–24 (ESV) 23 But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. 24 God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth. This doesn't seem to be happening in society. I believe society only views worship as shows with loud music and many effects ( sound, lights, screens etc). Not the true daily worship that comes from your heart in complete reverence to God. Society seems to have forgotten that worship is your love expressed and focused toward God, not to lift up self and glorify people. Also we know worship is to bring God honor, praise, thanksgiving and rejoice in him. This does consist of singing hymns and spiritual songs, dance in respect to reverence before God, playing musical instruments, also reading the word of God to prayers. Psalm 150:1-6 Praise the Lord! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens! Praise him for his mighty deeds; praise him according to his excellent greatness! Praise him with trumpet sound; praise him with lute and harp! Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him with strings and pipe! Praise him with sounding cymbals; praise him with loud clashing cymbals... I believe then all forms of worship must be done in the right motive! Many in society seem to be expressing worship with wrong motives. Romans 12:1 I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Just my thoughts to your question(How do you define christian worship in today's society?) God bless ?
  3. Praise the Lord dear friend, for he is good! That sounds great with lots of fellowship and lots of good food, the two go together so well (now travel isn't something I like to do,its not to fun for me, 300 miles is some distance, God bless you for that!) I'll be praying for traveling mercies for you and your family, Also for your motel stay ? Thanks for sharing and may all of you have a safe and wonderful thanksgiving! God bless ?
  4. My friend we must understand that sin takes us further then we have ever wanted to go and our sin never hurts just ourselves. No one can reverse the sin that one commits, no matter how horrible or how minor it was.I am not trying to be mean or insensitive in this matter, but In this case this sin was horrible, and you are serving the consequences for that sin. As well as possibly the loss of your family. However my friend, you are taking the right steps toward receiving healing. You have confessed ( you have admitted to this horrible sin) You received Jesus Christ as your lord and savior. You have asked for forgiveness ( Christ forgives, it may take a long time or perhaps never with your family. But their response will never alter the Lord, Christ has forgiven you.) Now you must pray for your family and leave them in his hands. He can provide all they need. Your family needs your prayers. Satan doesn't want your prayers to go before God, this is why he is sending suicidal thoughts to you, with condemnation and lies. If he can silence you, he can further inflict your family with pain. You must trust God to keep you while you are serving this sentence and know that God still has plans for you. As I mentioned earlier, you can be a vital part of the healing process to your family, to your granddaughter as you devote yourself to Christ and being an endless prayer warrior for them. Please remember, God has kept you through all the torture and abuse that you suffered, now your sins are forgiven and your life matters. The lives of your family matters, you can benefit them in the greatest way possible by what choices you make now. With much love, you will be in my prayers.

  11. Praise God! For those who have been blessed with children, this is a precious delight. We are grateful for God's goodness as we enjoy this time embracing them with our love and they for us, as we continue to make cherished memories. To those who have no children, God's goodness is always great as well, I believe that God has given them great love that expands to many ( as parents our love focuses on our family first then to others) but to those without children they expand their love toward the extended family of God first. In turn we are all blessed and experience God's abundant goodness! Praise God! May God richly bless you and your son this thanksgiving dear sister..
  12. This is also a wonderful act of kindness and God's love that you are showing. I praise God for this. 13. We all get wrapped up in one thing or another my friend, and so many holidays are rushed as they come and go. They are filled with our families, friends ,dinners, parties and then a relief that there over. But then there comes a time when we feel a pull at our heart and the holy spirit shows us something new, something that God is revealing for his glory. We can only give God praise for his Constance call upon our lives that forever brings us closer to him. What a great God we serve! Blessings to you this thanksgiving dear friend!
  14. Oh dear brother, this is truly the heart of God opening before our eyes.. Through the tears of joy that won't stop flowing from my eyes, my heart overflows in within me of God's greatness, how I praise God for this amazing testimony! I pray you will keep us informed of how thing's transpired during this blessed event. May God richly bless you my dear friend. ?
  15. My dear brother, your story is heart wrenching. My words may seem so shallow compared to the abuse you suffered, but I am truly sorry you had to experience such abuse, such pain and horrible sorrows. But I'm also so grateful to God for spearing and saving your life. Jesus is our answer, he is our healer, our salvation, our victory to overcome and our complete peace. I agree you can and are helping countless others by telling everyone your personal testimony. I also agree that there are so many cases of abuse, from mild to horried, but all is abuse. All effects children no matter what degree. The awareness of the warning signs must be brought to everyone's attention! Another issue is the authorities aren't responding to the cry's of the abused children! I know from experience of working with children and youth services, the police and hospital staff,as one who reports abuse, but having nothing done. This issue is very personal to me, and I will stand with you dear brother in prayer, as I will pray God will use you mightily to open eyes and hearts of people everywhere to see and report abuse, as well as to open the eyes and hearts of those in authority to handle each case as it would be their own child! Our earnest plee, May God help each and every child that is or has experienced abuse in any degree. Thank you from my heart, thank you for sharing your horrible story to your amazing testimony. My dear brother, God has a great call upon your life. Let him continue to lead you and work though you. May God continue to surround you with great blessings! God is always faithful!!!! As you serve this time, I pray that you may continue to find God's peace. May you continue to study God's word and grow in his amazing love. You can be and are being a light to others as you walk through your own dark hours with Christ holding your hand.

  23. Hello everyone, I'd like to take a break from some of the heated subject's and think again to the thanksgiving holiday that is coming up. I'd like to ask a few questions and share some statistics that are kinda interesting. I'd like to ask, how many are planning on celebrate Thanksgiving? ***Note ( in the US) about 280 million people are expected to celebrate Thanksgiving! If you are going to celebrate Thanksgiving, will you travel or will someone come to your home? *** Note ( in the US) 54million people are expected to travel! If your going to celebrate Thanksgiving, are you planning on eating Turkey? *** Note ( in the US) about 46million Turkey's are eaten in thanksgiving day! Are you more thankful this thanksgiving then you were last year? **** Note :American's say in general that 41%of all Americans are more thankful this year then last year!? Do you have Traditions in your family for this holiday? ***Note ( in the US) 88% of Americans follow some sort of tradition for thanksgiving! As Christians, do you have a favorite verse to share about thanksgiving or being Thankful? I'd like to share,we do celebrate Thanksgiving every year. My husband and I stay home, our children and my parents come to visit and have dinner at our home. I cook the meal, we have Turkey and all the trimmings ( stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, potato salad, green bean casserole, biscuits and gravy, corn, noodles, and pumpkin pie). I am more thankful this year then last year, because God is amazing and has blessed us in a greater measure. My husband is still with me, my granddaughter is with us this year, and I still have my parent's, children and my health. God is AWESOME! We do have Traditions in our home, all of us setting down, before we begin our meal and after prayer we all go around the room and express our thankfulness, we have great fellowship and enjoy our dinner. Every year the room gets fuller, with anyone who wants to come is welcome as well, theirs always enough. If no one else drops by we will deliver a meal to a neighbor's home or friends. I'd just like to share this verse: Psalm 100:4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. Have a wonderful thanksgiving everyone ...I thank God that I'm getting to know all of you this year and extending my Family, May God richly bless each of you ? Please fill free to share!!!
  24. Thank you for sharing this, However at this time they can not separate themselves from these people. But prayer is an absolute necessity and yes they are now doing this. God bless ?
