  1. 2 Corinthians 13:5 kjv Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
  2. I quit, then vaped for another ten years. The cough has finally stopped, but vaping is so bad for you. Nicotine is a terrible addiction. I agree that the addiction needs to be dealt with. I asked people to pray, never stop asking until its completely gone.
  3. Great Post. Forgiveness is easier said than done, but when The Lord puts it into your heart, you know it was Him Who did it, and give Him all the glory. G bless :)

  5. Thankyou Jayne. There are NO other gods, only those in people's imaginations. The preacher I heard is a false teacher.
  6. Amen! Finally!
  7. And preachers
  8. False gods, so, fake, imaginary? So there are no other 'real' gods.
  9. I heard a preacher say that there are other gods. Is he correct?
  10. It is in older texts actually - the latin vulgate, douay, koine greek, aramaic, websters, majority, World English Bible, etc....so.... i ask you, will there be condemnation (damnation) for believers who walk in the flesh (ie. Sin)?
  11. Forgiveness is not easy. We say we forgive, until the person offends again. When The Lord grants the gift of forgiveness (as everything is a gift of God) then it's done. Forgive us our sins, AS we forgive those who sin against us. A divine exchange, and a wonderful mystery :)
  12. 'We have a better covenant' Ps 119 1 Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of The Lord. 2 Blessed are they that keep His testimonies, and that seek Him with the whole heart. 3 They also do no iniquity: they walk in His ways.
  13. Numbers 14 rebel not against The Lord - Nothing can ruin sinners but their own rebellion. If God leaves them, it is because they drive Him from them, and they die, because, they will die. Numbers 12 And the anger of The LORD was kindled against them; and He departed. God departed - The removal of God's presence from us, is the saddest token of His displeasure. And He never departs, till we, by our sin and folly drive Him from us.
  14. The wages of sin is death ...
  15. Agreed. unknown sin could be revealed, by The Lord, as sin later on. The more I learn, the more I know I need to learn. "Now may The God of peace sanctify [us] entirely..."
  16. Temptation attacks our thoughts, before we put sin into practice. Paul said "take every thought captive to the obedience of Jesus Christ". We can stop sin in its tracks. I believe that we can be completely free from (known) sin. All glory to The Lord:)
  17. You're probably right. Most of us could fit into at least one of those categories. Some might simply join forums for Christian fellowship, because they can't find it in their church.
  18. People are checking in, reading posts, but not bothering to join in. I'm doing the same. Is it apathy? What happened to us?
  19. The Bible is a good book to help us surrender aswell ;)
  20. Caffeine causes havoc with me, but I do like a nice coffee
  21. Read it again, more than 'our' is missing. That is the point...niv (& other versions) removes Jesus's words. Not relevant to this post, but it is relevant
  22. I was highlighting the differences in both versions
  23. Luke 11 NIV 1One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.” 2He said to them, “When you pray, say: “ ‘Father, a hallowed be your name, your kingdom come. b 3Give us each day our daily bread. 4Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us. c And lead us not into temptation. d ’ ” ----------- KJV 1 And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples. 2And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. 3Give us day by day our daily bread. 4And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.
