  1. Didn't Luther have a secular ruler agree with him and therefore protect him? How is this so different than what went on in the early Church? The reformers had state powers which supported them also.
  2. It wasn't much different than The establishment of Rabbinic Judaism. The sect they gave religious power in a new Sanhedrin were the Pharisees. The authority of the priesthood was usurped. Hebrew christian's persecuted as an illegal religion. But under Constantine Christianity became legal in the Empire. It was not just Rome, but the eastern orthodox, etc. They were all one Catholic Church.
  3. There are many that are hesitant because this vaccine may have side effects we can't see right now. It has nothing to do with politics. Though it does make it awful for us that politicians are making it so.
  4. I think it is the rest (comfort) spoken (prophesied) here. Gen 5:28 And Lamech lived an hundred eighty and two years, and begat a son: 29 And he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the LORD hath cursed. {Noah: Gr. Noe: that is Rest, or, Comfort } Until Noah, the ground was cursed, with thorns and thistles. This was so prolific that Adam had sweat on his brow All the days of his life just to eat from it. It became so difficult just to eat from the ground that there was no rest (sabbath) from it. Not only was Noah able to eat from the ground easily, it produced in abundance thus the story of him drinking wine to drunkeness. He had plenty to let it ferment. God furthermore gave to Noah additional food, to further ease of food sources. Which sources also helped in the maintenance of the ground. Both in plowing, treading out grain, keeping down unwanted growth. Just my thoughts. But it had to do with rest from the cursed ground until that time.
  5. What about the weeks counted at pentecost? What about festival sabbaths?
