1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid? 2 When the wicked came against me To eat up my flesh, My enemies and foes, They stumbled and fell. 3 Though an army may encamp against me, My heart shall not fear; Though war may rise against me, In this I will be confident. 4 One thing I have desired of the Lord, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple. 5 For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock. 6 And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me; Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord. 7 Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice! Have mercy also upon me, and answer me. 8 When You said, “Seek My face,” My heart said to You, “Your face, Lord, I will seek.” 9 Do not hide Your face from me; Do not turn Your servant away in anger; You have been my help; Do not leave me nor forsake me, O God of my salvation. 10 When my father and my mother forsake me, Then the Lord will take care of me. 11 Teach me Your way, O Lord, And lead me in a smooth path, because of my enemies. 12 Do not deliver me to the will of my adversaries; For false witnesses have risen against me, And such as breathe out violence. 13 I would have lost heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living. 14 Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord! Psalm 27:1-14

Theological Problems with God-guided Evolution
B-B replied to one.opinion's topic in Science and Faith
Hey ? Would you like me to repeat what I have written in a post to another poster re: AiG? My response to them, is also the same response to you. if you wish to claim that a Christian organisation intentionally lies, etc. etc. this is your lookout. You will be responsible, before God, for your comments. I do not wish to have anything further to do with this thread, or your posts,... I'm out. please do not quote me here, to draw me back in. If you are unable to resist, and do quote me, I will ignore you. -

Hey ? If you yourself have trust issues with this Christian organisation, then I’m sorry to hear this. I hope that you took things up with those concerned, as is the Christian thing to do. However, I don’t have a beef with them. If I did, I would take it up…with them. -

Hi there ? If this is becoming a witch hunt against AiG .. I’m out. I too could spend my time digging for dirt on folks. I have greatly benefited from the teaching that I have personally received from the speakers at the events hosted by AiG. If you have a beef with them, take it up with them. Allow them to speak on their own behalf. -

That's quite an accusation there... ? Like I've said before, I've been to meetings in England, hosted by AiG. Two of the speakers brought in to share their knowledge and experience were English University Professors, experts in their field. They are also committed Believers. I cannot speak on behalf of the folks who are employed by AiG, but neither would I want to accuse them of intentionally lying. -
Theological Problems with God-guided Evolution

"Almost all biology textbooks give the example of the peppered moth as observable evidence of natural selection. Peppered moths of the species Biston betularia range in color from mostly white with a peppering of black specks to nearly all black. At one time, it is claimed, the lighter colored moths of this species were the most numerous because they blended in with the light-colored bark of the trees they favored, and thus, were nearly invisible to their bird predators. Several years ago, air pollution caused the bark of these trees to darken, exposing the lighter moths to the birds. It is assumed that the birds ate the more visible white variety, leaving behind mostly the darker variety of the species, which lay hidden on the soot-darkened trees. To the evolutionist, this is observable evidence of evolution in action! But while the peppered moths may be an example of natural selection, they do not show the evolution of a fundamentally new kind of animal, or even a new species of moth". This is what the AiG article Author states about the moth with respect to evolution @The Barbarian -

I don't know if you have read the article, but if you desired to, you will be able to see the context of the quotes. If this article which AiG has written is riddled with error, I'll be grateful if you could bring these errors to my attention. I'm here to learn ? -

Hi there ? Sorry for any misunderstanding, the quotes I gave in my post, were taken from an article produced by AiG, (I wasn't quoting myself). The full article, by AiG, can be found here: https://answersingenesis.org/natural-selection/natural-selection-and-macroevolution/ -

Thank you ? I do try to be as objective as I can be. Several of the speakers who have spoken at the AiG conferences here in England reside in England/teach at Universities here. They seem to me to be men of integrity, have good reputations…But I hear what you’re saying tho’. ? (I have studied a little bit of science too - I have a BSc and MPharm). -

https://answersingenesis.org/natural-selection/natural-selection-and-macroevolution/ Hi there ? I greatly respect the work of AiG. Ive attended a couple of their mega conferences, here in England and greatly benefited from their teaching. I found the above article on-line, and below are a couple of quotes: Evolutionists like to refer to the sort of variation we see among individuals of a species as microevolution, implying that this is somehow related to the chance formation of fundamentally new animals by a process known as macroevolution. There is, in fact, no known relationship between so-called microevolution and macroevolution. The central question of the Chicago Conference was whether the mechanisms of microevolution could be extrapolated to explain the phenomenon of macroevolution. At the expense of doing violence to the positions of some people at the meeting, the answer can be given as a clear NO. -
Thanks for your response ? God Bless

Hi there ? Your post caught my attention ?. Re: Muslims/Halal food/foods sacrificed to idols. I’m a Christian. The only one (so far) in my family. My younger sister and her husband are practicing Muslims. When I go to visit them/stay with them, I eat whatever foods they have prepared. I don’t ask if it is Halal etc. I receive it with thanks. And enjoy it. My conscience does not trouble me re: it’s consumption. My mum, is a practicing Sikh. The Sikh temple she attends, daily prepares food for the homeless folks, and the poor, whatever their religious beliefs. My mum helps out in the kitchens, and often takes home the leftover food (curry etc). When I visit her, this is sometimes the food which I am served. Again, I eat it and enjoy it, giving thanks.
