Wow! I remember I saw a Bible (probably Norwegian) in a museum years ago, and they said that it was from 16th century. I guess it was a "family Bible" as it was huge. Could you understand the reading of the 1611 Bible? I guess it is of "Gothic" or something like that? I am able to read such, even if it is a little challenging.

Holiness. Help me to see that You are Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord, and that You want me to be likewise in every way, each and every day! Without Holiness, I shall not enter into Your Kingdom, and I will not be able to see Your Face, as I then will walk out of Your Grace! Teach me and help me to fear You as I should - in Holy fear ; so I through Your Word can understand this very clear! Give me grace to pursue Holiness even more from now on ; so I'm not satisfied until Your work in me is done! Then I will forever see Your beautiful Face in the Heavenly place - by Your wonderful Grace! 20.10.2020.

I have another question for you. What is the oldest Bible (or New Testament with the Psalms) that you have in paper books? Any language. My oldest New Testament with the Psalms, is from 1936. It is a Norwegian one, in what we call "nynorsk" which actually means "new Norwegian", but I would call it "old Norwegian", as the language is not the same as we use today. 😊

Actually I started a few years ago to try to learn Hebrew (with the vocals) by myself, because I really like the language, and also because I then could perhaps understand His Word better? In the beginning, the Hebrew language and alphabet seemed to me like Chinese or something, as the "letters" where so different from what I was used to. But suddenly one day, I understood and could actually read some words which had the vocals! 😊 I still have very much to learn, but it is nice to be able to read a little Hebrew.

There's another thing I don't like about many of the Bible translations, that the origin Hebrew words of the many names of Elohim/God etc, has been "translated" without mentioning what the Hebrew word actually means (says).

Is unity really possible amongst Churches?
Ani Tefillah replied to Joshua-777's topic in Biblical Topic Videos
Shalom. I haven't watched the video yet, but I strongly believe that there can not be any fruitful unity among the Congregations, if the followers are not ONE with the sum of the HOLY WORD. But if they are ONE with the sum of the Holy Word, there will be a fruitful unity. 😊 -
NASB, I guess it means New American Standard Bible?

During the years with the Lord, I've seen many different Bible translations, both in Norwegian and English, and I have compared them to each other, and first of all to the origin text. I have an neat and useful Bible study app, called "My Bible", where I can (from the app/after I have installed it) download many different versions (translations) of the Bible, and many study tools too. Have you heard about this app? I've read that many like the KJV (King James Version) translation, but I must admit that there are some words in there that I can not agree with : *For example the word "church" ; should it not be "congregation or assembly"? *And the word "Holy ghost 👻" (yes, the word ghost 👻, makes me think of a ghost 👻). Should it not be "Holy Spirit"? For me these two words are important, so I am not satisfied with that part of the KJV. Have you found a Bible version which is very similar to the origin text?

Amen and Amen and Amen!!!

I also read it in a new way now. Interesting. 😊

Amen and Amen! I always use that verse during trials, tests and tribulations, and it gives me faith, hope Peace and joy! 😊
-
Thank you for the share! I believe that a part of an old hymn went like this "the sorrow and the joy (or the gladness), they are wandering together". That's how it is in my life, anyway. 😊 I've learned that if I am thankful (to Abba Father) in all kinds of situations and circumstances, I can always have His Joy (and Peace/Shalom).

Close to You! It's getting darker and darker in the world, Lord, each and every day ; as people choose to follow the evil one, and not walk on Your narrow way! But I choose to stay close to You, as I know You will see me through, every trial, test and tribulation, every moment, task and situation. Help me to surrender it all to You now; as I wholeheartedly wanna trust in You, with mine knees bowed. That You have full control of everything down here, and You'll provide for my care, if I only can remain still and trust in Your loving will. Then I will always have Your peace, and any fear just have to cease ; cause I know for sure and clearly, that You love me dearly! 30.09.2020.

I understand, however I also think that I must not let the evil (one) consume me (overcome me), but try to overcome evil with good. 😊
-
That's true, and so sad 😔.

Thank you so much! I'll try that.
