Not being a scholar I misunderstand things on a regular basis. I'm here to learn. So if i'm wrong please explain. Thanks Matt 10:28 “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” Ecc 12:7 “Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.” So it seems to me that the Spirit always returns to God The Father. and If accepted by Jesus one will keep his soul and spirit and be with Him. If one is not accepted the the Spirit is separated from soul as in Matt 10:28 and the second death (of the soul) occurs. Rev 12: 8 “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”

I understand you do not believe they came down from Heaven. At the time Jesus is speaking Enoch and Elijah had already ascended. Then he clarifies No man ever ascended Except he came down from Heaven first. I see it the opposite as you.

Sorry The question was not if they were born on earth And no man hath ascended up to heaven, only three people Enoch Elijah Jesus Ascended up to Heaven. but he that came down from heaven, the above underlined gives the idea that all three came from heaven and all three were born on earth and ascended back to Heaven everybody else on earth did not come from heaven to be born or ascend to heaven like these three

The Bible is quiet clear God came to Earth to make a new Covenant with Israel and also included Gentiles in the New Covenant. The New Testament is full of exactly what the New Covenant is. It not part of the Old and part of the New. Faith in Jesus is the only way to the Father.

The way I understand it; Earths atmosphere is the 1st heaven then what we call outer space is 2nd then the third heaven. Even though the Bible only speaks of the 3 heavens to me there may be more. Many things are not told to us at this time. Not sure where I stand on Moses showing up On the Mount. I would have guessed it would be Enoch and Elijah on the Mount. The verse I posted sure makes me think they were not just men but special. There were many men who stood out way more than others but they did not Ascend to Heaven. Jesus and them are the only ones to ascend to Heaven

In John 3:13 Jesus says And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. curious if this could mean Enoch and Elijah came from Heaven and lived on Earth? just a question
