The scripture in Acts are being misread and misapplied as proven by how it goes against the scriptures here in Matthew 9:17; John 6:35, & the warning against it in 2 Corinthians 11:3-4 & the prophesy of these latter days in 1 Timothy 4:1-2 and thus going against this exhortation in Colossians 2:5-10. Scripture cannot go against scripture and so believers should not be applying scripture in Acts while glossing over how it goes against His words in the N.T. Example; when Peter is filled with the Holy Ghost, it is to testify how he was speaking as by the Holy ghost rather than Peter speaking of his own volition. Acts 4:7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this? 8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel, You cannot say Peter prayed for a filling of the Holy Spirit before answering that question because Jesus said this; Matthew 10:19 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. 20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you. That is what had happened to Peter in Acts 4 when Peter and John were arrested, they were interrupted in preaching to potential believers that after they were released, Peter & John had told those company of potential believers what had happened and the new believers prayed that they would have the same boldness to preach as Peter & John had done and they were saved. We can know they were new believers by what they did after that, by how they sold everything and laid it at the apostles' feet to distribute it evenly among that NEW community of believers. So what they had prayed for, Peter & john were not filled again with the Holy Spirit when the new believers got saved for when they were wanting to preach like them. Usually, nobody in the service of the supernatural movement of the "spirit" will listen because they want to believe that phenomenon is of God, but the spirits of the antichrist does take their eyes off of the Son to chase after such visitation of phenomenon even if it is just a sensation of being filled as in receiving a spirit again. Scriptures testify that they are at risk of being left behind per the parable of the ten virgins for being out to the market seeking to be filled but while the door to the Marriage Supper is open, they can repent with His help, pray normally, ( tongues for private use is not of Him at all per 1 Corinthians 12:7-14 & 19-21 ) and chase no more after the spirits by resting in Jesus Christ as always Spirit-filled since salvation for why the wise were ready to go when the Bridegroom comes.

Paul is asking Ephesians not to get drunk as in past tense but remain filled with the Spirit. How can you as a believer apply this scriptural truth to your testimony of you believe that? How can a believer seek a continual filling of the Holy spirit when it ignores this warning from Paul not to seek such a thing? 2 Corinthians 11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. 4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him. Indeed, we are complete in Christ for why we are exhorted to walk in Him as there is no more receiving of Him to be filled with. I would say for living things to eat right away when they were created the fifth day for marine life & sixth day for land life. So the warnings and exhortations to the 7 churches in Revelation was done at the end of Revelation 3rd chapter as the Lord shall show John what will happen after that judgment on God's House at the pre great tribulation rapture event. By addressing your reference in Zechariah 14:1-5, this has Jesus coming back with the saints in touching down on the Mount of Olives in doing battle with the world's armies marching unto Jerusalem. That means He is no longer in the air. When we compare with Revelation 19:1-10 , that Marriage Supper is held in Heaven. Then in Revelation 19:11-21 is when the Heaven opens again, and He comes with the saints to battle the world's armies & vanquishing them. So the battle is over. In Revelation 20:1-6 is when Satan is in the pit for a thousand years after the defeat of the world's armies and THEN the first resurrection takes place. So who were the saints that came back with Jesus when Jesus battled the world's armies marching against Jerusalem? Now for addressing what "first resurrection" is meaning in Revelation 20:1-6. Revelation 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. That is all first resurrection was to mean that this resurrection after the great tribulation was to happen "first" before the rest of the dead are resurrected at that Great White Throne Judgment.

If the rapture is at the end of the great tribulation for when they will have the Marriage Supper, then explain how those invited are making excuses not to come to the King's Supper for the everyday cares of life? You really think saved believers will be excusing themselves for the everyday cares of life at the end of the great tribulation? That they be buying and selling, and feeling free to marry even? This warning is for believers now before the great tribulation comes. It is now that believers can have their sights and hearts on the treasures of this earth. That warning from Jesus is about missing the Marriage Supper in Heaven which requires leaving the earth and so it cannot be at the end of the great tribulation.

May I ask why there is an age to Adam & Eve? May I ask why there is an age to plant life as created mature and bearing seeds and fruits? May I ask why you cannot use that premise for why the earth may have an apparent age to it?

Luke 14:15-24 If the rapture is at the end of the great tribulation for when they will have the Marriage Supper, then explain how those invited are making excuses not to come to the King's Supper for the everyday cares of life? You really think saved believers will be excusing themselves for the everyday cares of life at the end of the great tribulation? That they be buying and selling, and feeling free to marry even? This warning is for believers now before the great tribulation comes. It is now that believers can have their sights and hearts on the treasures of this earth. That warning from Jesus is about missing the Marriage Supper in Heaven which requires leaving the earth and so it cannot be at the end of the great tribulation.

Seems what you are sharing is not aligning with His words below where Jesus said you do not have to think about what to speak. I would take that as including praying about it also otherwise you are still thinking about it, right?
