Are we talking about the Gentile Church Paul established or the Church kicked off from the Upper Room experience? Because when I read the Book of Acts I see both Jew and new Gentile converts being water Baptized differently than I see today. And I don't mean River, lake versus tub, tank. I mean the formula used. Btw, most scholars and theologians agree that Matthew 28:19 and Acts 2:38 means the same thing but I read this entire thread and since it's about the original Church I thought I would ask.

As I mentioned in the opening sentence about the Sadducees because that's the old understanding because Yeshua was talking to the Sadducees and the rich man exemplified whose lifestyle resembles the eldest Sadducees and his sons [hence the story was rich man and his brothers]. So if we take the context of the things being said, knowing that the Sadducees did not believe in being resurrected, so in their minds they were receiving the reward they deserved [being wealthy, powerful, part of the Sanhedrin in this current life]... what Yeshua said seems to perfectly match up and align towards the Sadducees He was speaking to.

Ultimately, God wants a unique specific kind of people that is different from everyone else. After Noah and the Nations was established [Deuteronomy 32] 8 When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance, when he divided mankind, he fixed the borders of the peoples according to the number of the sons of God. 9 But the Lord's portion is his people, Jacob his allotted heritage. ...God set apart a people that had its own Laws and Diet that separated them from the rest of humanity. Look at Christianity, those who truly follow Yeshua are separated from the rest of humanity like the Hebrews were. God's intention was to have a People that is separated from everyone else. That's as simple as it gets for why God created the Nations, Israel, and Christians. I am a Peculiar Person. I am separated from the lost because of God. I live on planet earth but it isn't my home.

I have no doubt what you have presented is absolute fact. I just believe the generation speaking about Israel in the Last Days is Biblical so I was using what the Bible claimed as a generation thinking God most likely will be aligned to what the Bible states.

There's a verse I am sure everyone knows that states a generation is 70 years and if you are strong then 80 years. 10 The yamim of shnoteinu (our years, life) are threescore shanah and ten; and if by reason of gevurot they are fourscore shanah, yet is their boast amal (trouble, toil) and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. Your post is spot on 80 is only 2+ years to go for that generation.

Yeshua was addressing the Sadducees from the perspective of the rich man and his brothers that seemed to be a common belief for years. But I noticed something that I must have not been able to see nor understand before about the portion that states (remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things). This intrigues me because it reads like God knew the rich man would not go to Heaven so in mortal life on earth he was given his rewards. And then for Lazarus he got the short end of the stick on earth because in Heaven he is getting his goods then. Makes me wonder now about those I know who are wealthy on earth and those I know who are struggling to survive week to week let alone day to day. Matthew 5, the Beatitudes, emphasizes the poor, meek, humble that will be greatly rewarded in Heaven. But that's at least 2 accounts [add the young rich man talking to Yeshua about what he needed to do to go to Heaven] make that 3 accounts where Yeshua directly states being wealthy is more like a curse and being poor is a better lifestyle and recipe to get to Heaven.

Many of the decisions I end up making are based upon what doors suddenly open up. A true Follower of Christ should know if the doors open are from God or not. You will sense it. From purchasing vehicles, other items, to moving from town to town or out of state to just down the block from where you already live. You will just know this is from God.

Both Paul and John mention this, and even though everything appears to come down to a specific year, months, day, hour, minute, second. I still look at it as how many Gentiles is the number God picked that when the last Gentile converts that era ends? I wonder if God decreed within Himself that the moment this many million or billion Gentiles accept Yeshua as their God, Lord, and Savior the Time of the Gentiles will be fulfilled? I also wonder since God knew when it would happen did God decree this is when the Great Tribulation begins or will be during this portion of the Great Tribulation? Ultimately speaking here, I wonder what that number, that last Gentile conversion will add up to? How many Gentiles [not the Old Testament Proselytized] [but the New Covenant Gentiles] will that be?

Sorry for not quoting you but I answered you in the post before this one

https://images.app.goo.gl/uXequVU1uVpyBDWL9 This shows each Letter to the Hebrew Alphabet + it also shows what the Numerical Values to each Letter is. So you have Numeric Values just by the single Letter itself and then when you spell a word you get to add all the Letter Values together.

Prophecy is announcing something that God is going to do soon, not long from now, or into the unforseen future. To be able to announce the Plans of God is a great honor that has been bestowed upon a person. It's definitely a Gift from the Holy Spirit not many will ever understand let alone be able to do. To be a chosen vessel that God uses under the Inspiration and Anointing to alert other like Believers is an amazing Blessing.

The title of this thread is what does the Grace of God mean? First of all, we must look at the Love of God. What does the Love of God cause Him to do? We know the Love of God causes God to be Merciful. We also know the Mercy of God's Love eventually brings Grace. ... For God so LOVED He sent... Mercy is God choosing not to give us what we deserve. Grace is the action of God taking our place in what we deserve.

One could always look at it from this viewpoint. Science claims the Universe is best calculated and defined using Mathematics. From size, area, speed, vastness, laws of physics, to the matter material itself can all be done using Mathematics. Let's assume for a moment that God used the Hebrew Language in Creation and Adam spoke it fluently. The Hebrew Language is unique in the sense that each Letter is not just alphabetical but each Letter also represents a Mathematical Value. It's why each letter or word also equals a numerical number. It's how we know there's levels to Angels and Fallen Angels. Paul used principalities and powers and other words demonstrating hierarchy of our enemies. Therefore, if God spoke, using the Hebrew Language, He would have gave a Command using both Language and Numerical Values. This is why Science is able to use Mathematics to understand the Universe because God created the Universe using Numerical Values. So indeed numbers are extremely important in the Tanakh because the Language includes a Numerical System. Also why I believe the Disciples spoke Aramaic\Hebrew before the Gospels were translated into Greek. It would have been impossible for the Greek to have understood the Numerical Values and why there's confusion on some of the translation. But if we find the Hebrew\Aramaic meaning before being translated into Greek we would suddenly have a clearer understanding to the meaning behind each Passage of Scripture.

When I read Genesis 6, 19 + other Books that speak of the same account of that time (Enoch - Yasher - Jubilee) to get a view of the Days of both Noah and Lot in a much broader enlightenment spoken by Yeshua in Matthew and Luke. I can clearly see that the Days we live in now are a greater evil. We have truly reached a point where good is seen as evil and evil as good. Nowhere in the Canon [Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek] except for the worship of Asherah [Ashkelon] [Canaanites] do we see the full blown changing of the genders like we do in 2025 where the governments have decreed a person has the right to choose their own identity based upon Gender even if the gender chosen doesn't match the Chromosome. As a person that studied Religion and especially ancient Religions the following of witchcraft is more common today than at any other point in history. The Last Days are connected to people that are selfish and no longer desire to help those in need. It's not just the average person in the USA but sadly many Churches have fallen into this category. The Bible is very clear that there will be Church but it will only be a form of Godliness and no longer the real thing. In my younger days Worship Service might be the entire Service because people began Worshipping God and the sick were being healed. I remember looking at the bunched up mountain of wheelchairs thrown on top of one another after the person in it was healed and took off running praising God. I haven't seen a preacher, Deacon, Lay person heal a cough in 20 years. But there are true Churches where God is moving and lives are changing and miracles are normal to see but it used to be in many Churches but today they are just a form of Godliness. I could go on and on here but the truth be told we are not only mirroring the Days of Noah and Lot but have made them appear less evil when compared to the Days of Today right now.

If Jerome, when translating the entire Latin Vulgate Canon, kept everything original outside of the translation itself, it would have matched the Tanakh with 22 Old Testament Books that Jerome split up into 39. But when you add the 27 New Testament Books to the original Hebrew 22 Books you end up with a total of 49 Books in the Canon. We know the number of God or perfection is 7. 7 x 7 = 49 So had the Canon been kept to 49 Books it's a perfect division of the number [7] which is the number of God or perfection. This is why I personally prefer using the Tanakh [22] + New Testament [27] with 49 Books or the division of 7 which is perfection {GOD}. But 49 being a division of 7 x 7 seems like Godly perfection to me.

The Christian Life is not Hard - it is Impossible!

Amen! It's truly sad because while at the same time they're doing really good things to help many in need but so far away from the purpose and true source of why they should be doing these things. -
Amen! I agree 👍 Sure it's either a stretch of reasoning or even a possible fact. We really don't know one way or another. That's roughly a little past a 1,000 years but I was implying since Adam until today, or the day I made this post that you responded to. And we really don't know specifically when Adam was first created but once he sinned and removed from the Garden we assume that's somewhere in the 6,000ish ballpark. That is actually a great question considering the one we have now appeared to be under water when the Spirit of God hovered above it. I have left things sit in stagnant water and things deteriorated rather quickly. Pending on how long earth was in the condition we read in Genesis 1:2 it's no stretch of the imagination to think the earth should have been null and void. Almost seems like an obvious no brainer.

What is the most important & main message in the Bible?
lrs68 replied to Vine Abider's topic in General Discussion
It's interesting because I have created a template of things to say should this or that happen and when the moment presented itself could only remember what the Bible said: the Spirit of God will give you your words so don't try to have a speech prepared beforehand. And oddly enough, the words that ended up being spoken were never as eloquent as I would have prepared them but they were very effective because God knew what they needed to hear. I have even went to court not prepared or for some reason had a specific thing on my mind. And as the questions were asked and answered eventually the one thing that wasn't my own thoughts, but a thought that just entered my mind the night before, ended up being the difference maker of the outcome. I am not against a well thought out prepared itemized speech but so far it hasn't been as successful as just getting thoughts in the moment I feel I want to say something or am responding to a question. -
People who the Church itself could not get close to and many of them are converting from lost sinner to born again followers of Jesus Christ and you believe that is bad fruit? Doesn't the Tree only produce what it grows? If we compared between how many people are now saved from the Chosen series to how many people have you personally led to Christ yourself and said whoever won more souls for God is GOOD fruit and the one who led less souls is bad fruit I believe it's no contest. What makes it bad fruit if the end result adds souls to Heaven?

I understand completely. One of the first lessons I remember as a child growing up in the Church was that [money is the root of all evil]. Money is indeed the root of all evil but those with money or use money in everything they do doesn't make it evil. If I used 100k to buy Bibles and pass them out for free then my intentions with that money spent is not evil. If souls are going to Heaven and the kingdom of God is increasing by money used for the actors, camera-persons, people behind the scenes, production of the series itself then it's not rooted in evil. Sometimes we say God took what was meant for evil and used it for good. But the Chosen creator, the main actors, and many giving financial support were members of the Church long long long before the idea of the Chosen series became a thought. And in discussions like this many won't even research to see 90% of the people involved are as Christian as we are. They just judge and say it's evil and idolatrous and all about money. Which proves not only are they wrong but not the type of Christian I think of when I read the New Testament.

Have you at any time paid to watch the Chosen series if you watched any of it? I haven't paid as much as a copper penny but watched all 5 seasons for FREE. Yes, there's merchandise for sale like any production because it requires actors, behind the scenes camera-persons, costumes for the series, and much more but I have watched it all for FREE. If it was truly about money I would be required to pay to watch. Therefore, I reject the notion this is about money. I believe the biggest objection to this series is that it's really winning souls and sadly Christians are screaming foul. May God see the injustice.

So true, God can work in situations that most ask is it possible to find God in that. Honestly, we shouldn't be so concerned with how someone found God but be there to rejoice that they did.
