  6. lambchop, Welcome to Worthy Boards! We are all a little nutty here at times but there are a great bunch of people here so I hope your times is a blessed one The only obligation you have is to Christ. We are told to give the unbeliever the truth of what Christ has done for them, pray for them then leave the rest with God the Holy Spirit. The work of conviction is His. No one can really tell you if you ought to stay in this friendship or not, that is for you and God to sort out in your personal prayer time with Him. The unsaved can react in varing ways when given the truth about Christ I have found that those who are all nice and sweet can be the hardest to win for His kingdom as opposed to those who seem to be down right mean and nasty..sometimes these ones will come to Christ far quicker. My advice to you is to keep bringing this person before the throne of grace and keep showing love inspite of the meaness, hard to do I know. Wait on the Lord....and He will surely guide you, in the meantime just pray and praise God everytime you see this person and leave it to the HS... Just my thoughts others here will also give you much better advice I'm sure... Blessings F1
  7. Dove - You are doing great with your maori, soon your be way better than me. Different 'tribes' in different parts of NZ actually speak maori slightly differently and one word can change the whole meaning it's quite interesting actually but I chore trying to keep up with all the differing dialects lol.. Oh Ya'll I got it now Yes that crazy dog is howling where-ever it goes lol he also chewed one of my shoes and you know me and shoes...I was NOT impressed at all, naughty little mutt. I vowed not to let it back in house then I felt sorry for it and invited it in when David's friend was here...lololol it bounced in wagging tail furiously and was trying to lick my face ugggghhhh but he is kinda cute it's a German Sheperd.
  8. Gary - You crack me up brother, but hey great about the Indians not undestanding lol if that's what you meant I mat have re - read lol Calamity - I have my own puter back now but David's friends dog chewed through the speaker cable lol so I cant listen to any sound but when I am able to get sound again I'll sure listen to it. Dove - wahine = lady.woman, wife, girl. Depends on what context and inflection you use in sentence. Titiro mai = look, see, watch. Again depends in what context. I was tired when I wrote but was trying to say He watches over you oh BTW I am 'kei te pai' this morning Dove and 'morena' to you 2 Love Y'all ( I kinda like that word it's starting to grow on me) F1
  9. Gary - I gotta tell ya bro it worries me that I can understand your writing LOL must be my knack for languages! even personalised ones lol Maori is the native tounge of the Maori people in NZ (just as africaans (sp) is the native tounge of South Africa) I concider myself a Maori with bits of this and bits of that thrown in for good measure lol... I dont speak it realy fluently I wish I could but I can read it fluently and understand most of it through being talked to by my dear old gran. I think it's a pretty language too I will have to come visit one day and try your cawfee F1

  16. Lady C, You do seem to have your fair share of stress and worry with your daughters. I am so sorry and will add you and your family to my prayer list. I do believe that rmj7 for all his youth has certainly offered you some great advice as well as Nicks Girl and I would echo what they have said. Sometimes ( well really all of the time) you just gotta let go and surrender the whole situation to God, I am endevouring to do that in my own personal circumstance with an issue I am facing just today. It has nothing to do with kids but the concept and solution are the same really. It's hard to let go I know it is, but let go we must. I often think of the Prodigal son and how his father would have been so heart-broken by his sons choices. What a great and comforting parable that is to us. Yet we know the deeper meaning to that parable and that is Christ's love for His children and even those who continue to reject Him as Saviour when they rush head-long into an eternity without Christ. But see how the father lovingly lets go in effect saying, 'You have your freedom to leave, but I will always love you and when you return I will be here waiting, and looking for you everyday' Love includes rules and boudries set, yes, Christ Himself gives us His commandments to live by, not becasue He wants to make us unhappy or keep 'so called' pleasures from us. But He sets them because He knows what is good for us, we do not! Because He loves us with such passion and deepness that we in this life will never be able to fathom, yet also because of His love He allows us to break those rules and commandments. Why? because of the freedom He has given us to make choices. But like the Prodigals Father He ever waits and looks for our return. He sees the bigger picture He sees the begining and the end in one frame and in His wisdom and omniscience He allows us to go to extremes that we never thought we could and in time He will use those wrong choices we have made for blessings to bring us back to Himself and while we are 'out there' He silently and quietly purges the dross and tin from our lives, and speaks in the 'still small voice, to return to Him. So I guess my advice would be let your older daughter go and I am not referring to the physical as she obviously has already done but also in your heart and thinking. Give her lies and all the behaviour to Christ and give Him your youngest as well. He sees them He knows where they are both physically and mentally and as you pray and we pray with you He will work for His own glory and Praise and for the good of your daughters and yourself. This is just my thinking dear sister and I myself have to do this not just daily but every moment. This has not been a great day for me personally. Go to His throne of grace and take your daughters with you and leave all there in His capable hands. I am praying for you. Blessings F1

It's probably just because it's so popular. :x: Ditto on the mens lounge to Smasher LOL so watch it u mite get invaded.
