What is meant by the anointing exactly? if this is not thread to ask in then I'll just start another. I have my own thoughts but a brief definition would be appreciated from others. Fasting is something that I find quite interesting but have never realy delved into much so this post interests me. Thankyou George. Blessings F1

Greetings Charlie, Well when my kids were young I led them to believe there was a Santa but now they are older they know better LOL I'd be sure worried if they did'nt But if I had to do it all over again, no I would not lead them to believe in some fat guy in a red suit and white hair bought gifts for them. Why? Well because I believe better to instill in the thinking of a growing child that 'all good gifts' come from God and get them in the habit of that thinking rather than to lead them to believe in a non-existent imaginary thing. It may have been fun to go along with it, but it is more wise to direct your childs pattern of thinking towards God and His goodness. Just my thoughts is all

To me this means, that if ( I make the choice to...) I am in fellowship with Him as I should be then no matter what happens - good or bad all will be well and I will have the desire to please Him (and do those things which I ought to) rather than self and man. Sorry no great theological stuff here just my own personal experience from my walk with Christ. F1

Okay I think I am going to rattle some nerves here, but I have to give you my honest opinion. I have 2 boys ages 22 and 14 and I have drummed into them from the time they could say mummy DO NOT HIT GIRLS Respect and Care for them. I have a daughter aged 20 and I have drummed into her DO NOT HIT BOYS Respect and Care for them it works both ways as far as I am concerned. But seeing we are dicussing boys hitting girls here I'll stick to that. I am very much against telling a child that it is okay if some other kid is hitting you to hit back especially a boy hitting a girl. My thinking is, it is much better to teach them (little boys) it is far more better to walk away even if hit than to retaliate. Because I believe that once you start to allow your child to act in 'self defense' over someone hitting them, then as they get older and that thought is imbedded in their thinking, you could be asking for trouble and raise an abusively violent child. I prefer not to take that risk. Self control is what should be taught here, self control of angry and hurt emotions. The best remedy I have found that has worked with my boys is communication with them. We use to sit and talk about whatever was going on and who was doing what to them or some other kid at school, then we would pray and talk some more and find alternative solutions to the problem rather than retaliating. My 14 year old came home from school about a month ago with scratchs down his arm and a smile on his face LOL I said, 'What happend to you' well some girl got angry at him cause he was not taking any notice of her so she clawed him all down his arm, threw her books and shoes LOL at him and called him very ugly names. He just kept walking all the while she is screaming and becoming worse...she finally stops sit's down and bawls her eye's out and says sorry to my son (David) he puts his arm around her and says it's ok, now they have been friends for the past month. A teacher apparently witnessed all this and the girl was suspended for a week. Is that because David is a good kid...no he has his faults LOL but it is because I have constantly told him time and time again from the time he was little, to have self control in these things and just walk away and keep walking..if you do the right thing then God will honour that and Romans 8:28 it Hey sorry to go on folks but that is my take on this whole deal, and as I said above this same thinking I have for females as well they also need to be taught the same lesson. Now I know this subject could branch out into other areas, well what would you do if some person was violently attacking your children would you just stand by pray and do nothing? Probably not I'm only human, but what I am trying to say here is that I believe that these things and teaching our children need to be done at an early stage in their lives, so as when they become adults they wont be my son or your son breaking into someones home or any other circumstance and becoming violent. BTW I do understand the natural reaction is to react when we are or someone else that we love is hurt attacked or anything else. A bit like a doc tapping your knee the natural reaction is to jerk! but I am trying to stick to the subject at hand here even if it's a dismal atempt LOL Okay you can all throw tomatoes and pies/rotten eggs at me now Blessing F1

Longdog - yep I get what your saying and best not to make those 'words' public River - I have a Yahoo account also and I agree it's great I also use Incerdi Mail and Wapda they a good spam filters to. I think with my friend it was another person using a puter that had all these pics I do not think it was spam but he downloaded the filth.

Hi Evy, Thanks a bunch for your post and advice. Yes I think looking to hard may cause prob's as well, but I see no harm in peeking LOL, it's all abit fun on the board right now with me 'looking for a man' even though I am serious about it I'm not consumed with it my every waking hour tho it may seem like that when I have fun with my friends on WB about it and they tease me. I do not feel guilty or ashamed about divorce or remarriage at all. I have worked through that one with the Lord. I am free in Him to 'move and have my being' Amen. I know there are some Christians who are against divorce and re-marriage and of course divorce is not the thing to do, however, sometimes these things just have to be. I respect other peoples beliefs as I hope they will respect mine! Thanks again Evy And watch out for low flying pies K I've had a couple in my face Blessings Faith1
