I enjoyed raising my four children. All grown now. Onto to enjoying my four grandchildren...Recently retired from working in the medical field as a Laboratory Assistant/Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant (if needed). My hobbies are playing the piano, gardening, baking and sign language. I was saved and filled with the Holy Ghost at the age of 8 years. The older I get the more I find that God is such a friend! He doe's not always speak at my demand. But it seems that I need less of His voice and more of His presence. Just knowing that He knows me and is with me is enough!

  1. Not sure if this would be of interest to you but... it was because of this war that women(out of necessity) became part of the work force. Up to this point and time they usually stayed at home. Because of this change of dynamics women also begin to wear pants(a practice as being accepted by the population in general), cut their hair short and put on makeup. They were entering what had been a "man's" world. No more time to fix hair that was down to the waist/ankles and let's face it some jobs just weren't made for wearing dresses! I guess what I am suggesting is that you could write about how our culture & women's roles were greatly changed because of this war. Our "norm" was forever altered after this.
  2. * A hunger to know God & His truth on an intimate level * An increasing awareness of sin * Sincere repentance & the desire to become more Christ-like * View spiritual battles - trials, temptation & failures as avenues of growth instead of obstacles * A desire to be used by God in the lives of others * A desire for godly obedience & commitment regardless of the personal cost * An increasing faith * A hunger for private devotion & prayer * A desire to please God by making decisions based on His will & not on personal wants * A vibrant love for God & an awareness of His presence indicate spiritual growth
  3. I am amazed as I read through the different threads on the subject of the Trinity and Oneness at how many times people with a Oneness(Monotheism) view are labled and/or accused of being Jehovah Witness's. There are other denominations which embrace Oneness. One of which is the United Pentecostal Denomination. They also baptize in the Name of Jesus only and do not use the formula most Trinitarian denominations use; "Father, Son & Holy Ghost". And...............no..................they are not cultic. It grieves me that fellow Believers with different views assume if someone's view is other than a Trinitarian then they must be part of a cult. There by discrediting thier beliefs as false and "out-there" or just plain wierd. No matter how we view God as One or Three we are all of the same BODY if we are "Born of HIM". After all never have I read in the scriptures that we MUST see God as One or Three to be Born of Chirst. Let me end with this one question. With these limited brains we have, who really knows all there is to know about the Godhead. When all is done and we finally arrive before our Lord I think we will find that no one really understood all there was about Him. At last we will have the whole mind of Chirst which we only have in part now.
