  1. Most vegans are not fans of Peta.. fyi. If you don't like caged animals don't support the pork industry. Pigs are confined their entire lives.
  2. Trump humbled? I don't think so. He likened his sexual assaults to "locker room talk". He diminished actions to mere words. He didn't even seem sorrowful, let alone humbled.
  3. Who is this guy? A Hollywood actor? Very odd.
  4. One more thing I forgot to mention. Natives suffered a ton of abuse and genocide in the name of Christianity but that has nothing to do with me. I don't need to care about them or their struggles. They worship false gods, just like folks in Africa, but the natives here are none of my concern, even if they are asking for help or support.
  5. I am done arguing here. I had an epiphany. You are all right. 100 percent. I am 100 percent wrong. Native Americans are lazy, greedy, pretending to care about water and their ancient burial sites when really it's about greed. They don't deserve the land they're on so maybe more of it should be taken away. And they should just let the pipeline through the land because the nice oil people want to provide us with energy. Oil leaks and spills have never happened before so why would we think it might happen here? It's crazy really. And putting money into developing clean energy to make it affordable? Well that is just plain silly and should never happen. Thank you for your insight. I don't want to argue anymore. It's totally absurd to do so.
  6. I had not heard about the story. In any case, was there an abundance of people OPPOSING the white farmers?
  7. BOTH of these quotes talk about water, and then you say it's not about water issues. I can't help you Ayin Jade. You refuse to watch the videos and then post quotes that mention water and say water isn't an issue. To me, you are a lost cause on this issue.
  8. We should be thanking them for saving our water. Do you like oil spills? Are you aware of the catastrophic damage they can cause?
  9. I I really hate repeating myself so I won't, but I've ALREADY addressed pretty much ALL of what you said here, sometimes more than once, and am not going to repeat it again. The fact is, price of oil will KEEP GOING UP.
  10. I didn't think so. It's too bad you are so close minded. You might learn something new or thought of this issue in a different light. Oh well.
  11. The court system is not perfect. The government is not perfect. It can go into a country, invade the people living there, massacre them, take their land, make them dependent on paper money, give them land, take their land away and when they have a problem in fighting for water, ignore them or side with the big oil company.
  12. It's easy for people to keep missing this point, over and over and over again. It's easy for people (even Christians) to think of natives as second class citizens, lump them all together, and figure they don't have rights to protest for clean water and their ancient burial grounds. If it was white farmers who were having the exact same problem right now, all of America would be behind them supporting them.
  13. On land that was given to them and then taken away from them. It's convenient for forget about that.
  14. I'm sure, being human, are prone to it. This particular fight seems to be more about their rights and about water. The fight of the opposing side in this matter seems to be greed driven. It all comes down to money.
  15. What do you mean the money's already been spent ? Totally disagree. I have to keep repeating myself, sorry but I will put in caps. TAKE IT FROM THE BILLIONS SPENT ON TRYING TO PROVE EVOLUTION. OR TAKE THE BILLIONS SPENT ON PIPELINES TO GO TOWARD CLEANER ENERGY. Where did I say greed was only in the oil companies? But the natives fight is NOT about greed. The oil companies fight is. But you defend the greed?? Do you like oil spills? I am done for today.
  16. Personally I actually believe this too, (as a young earth creationist.) And on that note, they may not develop this idea because it then goes against their philosophy that "oil is millions of years old". However, either way, money needs to go somewhere for innovation to develop ANY of these sources whether it be oil, wind, solar, water.... I'd rather see the money go into 'clean' energy. Oil is dirty and catastrophic spills do happen! There is no denying it. For THIS alone, anyone in the US should support Standing Rock. They are trying to protect the water. It's not just THEIR water. Its yours too! Water is life. I haven't got much more time for this unfortunately. I wanted to bring awareness about the story and I just keep getting arguments. I didn't think there was really anything TO argue about.
  17. Well that's good. But not enough. Like I said, take it away from funding that goes toward proving evolution as THIS is more important! Really, you're against seeing renewable energy developed? I don't understand??
  18. One video was deleted due to a swear word which is not allowed, but if you want to see it, go to Youtube, copy and paste this. "dakota access pipeline: Time to listen to native americans" Please watch the videos before you comment as these sum things up fairly well and I don't have a lot of time to keep talking about this. Thank you.
  19. I don't mean tax dollars. I mean grants. How about purely the grant money spent on trying to prove evolution? Billions a year I am sure. THIS is more important. Once again, I am talking about innovators finding ways to MAKE it more affordable. They can do it. However are dependent on oil for a reason.
  20. There comes a point where I get the feeling you just want to argue with every point I try to make. Now you want to argue with me about renewable energy? Ok.... Anyway, I would like to see a quote from a native saying that the main reason for the protest is because of the land (which should rightfully be theirs in the first place as it was given to them. ) I have been following this closely and never heard any quote like that. Like I said, there should be more effort and more monies being put into making renewable energy more affordable, accessible, efficient. I guess you missed that. Since oil is NOT a renewable resource, it will continue to rise in price as we continue to be dependent on it.
  21. I do not mean, in any way, shape or form, that we should be switching to electricity. I mean that at this point, we should be looking at various ways to develop renewable energy to make it affordable. Like solar and wind etc. Take the billions of dollars in grants given out every year to try to prove evolution and put it into making renewable energy more efficient and more attainable, which would eventually become more affordable.
