  1. I do understand your not wanting to see it, and the reason that you don't. It also pains me to know what my Lord went through because of me. I am not a sadistic person, I truely need to see it because I am a visual person. I can certainly get a visual picture from words but to actually see it I pray that it will effect me in a powerful way. I am sorry for your intense pain when it comes to just the knowledge of our Savior dying for us, I too at times feel that deep pain...but I think it is necessary for me to have that visual reminder....a picture speaks a thousand words. To see every mark, welt, gouge, piercing leaves an image that I SHOULD NEVER TAKE LIGHTLY OR EVER FORGET, I need this constant reminder. A renewing of my commitment to the One who took my place. I know that many can't understand the way that a lot of us feel when it comes to needing the visual, but as much as we explain it the question still comes up and we delt with it on another thread, I guess I am just tired of the same question over and over again. I'm sorry if I offended. Blessings~Rose
  2. Got this in snail mail...we're on their monthly mailing list. A bit long but worth the read. Family News From Dr. James Dobson February 2004 Dear Friends: It isn't often that I find myself speaking favorably about a modern movie, but there is a film being released this month that I believe is among the most powerful and important ever made. I'm talking about The Passion of the Christ, a dramatic recounting of our Savior's final hours on earth, including His crucifixion and resurrection. You've probably already heard something about this movie, as it has received a great deal of press (much of it negative) in recent months. I'll address the controversy surrounding The Passion of the Christ in a moment, but first some general information. The film has been directed by one of the most prominent and well-known movie stars of our time, Mel Gibson (in addition to appearing in countless Hollywood blockbusters, Mr. Gibson directed and starred in the Christ here in the U.S., the script was "adapted from a composite account of the Passion assembled from the four biblical Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John." The movie is designed to provide an authentic representation of the events surrounding Christ's death. All of the characters in the film speak the original languages heard at the time, including Aramaic and Latin. (In the early stages of production, Mr. Gibson intended to release the film without subtitles. However, at the urging of many who saw early screenings of The Passion of the Christ, English subtitles have been added.) In the U.S. and Canada, the movie is being released on Ash Wednesday , February 25, which signifies the beginning of Lent. I had the privilege of viewing a "rough cut" of the movie last fall during a writing trip to California. I can say that, in addition to being faithful to the essentials of the biblical account, it is easily the most heart-wrenching, powerful portrayal of Christ's suffering that I have ever seen. Shirley and I were deeply moved by the stark depiction of the brutality and humiliation that Jesus endured on our behalf. Other preview screenings have had a similar effect, leaving audience members either weeping openly or hushed in reverent silence. Mel Gibson also traveled to Focus on the Family headquarters last year to show an early version of The Passion of the Christ to several members of our executive staff. After seeing the film, our ministry President, Don Hodel, and Executive Vice President, Del Tackett; (Shirley and I were out of town at the time) issued statements praising the movie for its historical accuracy and its powerful portrayal of Christ's sacrifice. Gibson himself has said that, in making the movie, "I wanted to bring you there and I wanted to be true to the Gospels." Mr. Gibson's earnest desire to accurately portray Christ's suffering for humankind-and to share that pivotal moment in history with a mass audience-is tremendously refreshing to me. He has gone to great lengths to ensure that the movie will encourage, rather than offend, the millions of Christians around the world for whom the death and resurrection of Jesus hold such profound meaning. Indeed, over the past year, he has shown footage to numerous Christian and Jewish leaders around the country , not for the purpose of promotion, but to solicit their feedback. When Mr. Gibson brought his movie to Focus headquarters last year, it was clear that he was genuinely interested in our opinions and respectful of our views. He could easily have sent one of his representatives here to show the film and request our endorsement. Rather, he appeared personally, without any fanfare, in order to address any questions and concerns we might have had. A devout Catholic, Mel Gibson has repeatedly emphasized the fact that he felt called by God to bring The Passion of the Christ to the big screen. During one interview, he said, "I'm not a preacher, and I'm not a pastor. But I really feel my career was leading me to make this . The Holy Ghost was working through me on this film, and I was just directing traffic. I hope the film has the power to evangelize. ...Everyone who worked on this movie was changed. There were agnostics and Muslims on set converting to Christianity."3 When was the last time you heard a major Hollywood star make a statement of such magnitude? Apparently, however, the idea of a movie that accurately portrays the death and resurrection of Christ and that "has the power to evangelize" is more than certain members of the liberal media establishment can stomach. As a result, The Passion of the Christ, throughout its production, has been the source of great controversy. More specifically, the movie-and Mel Gibson himself- have been mercilessly dogged by liberal commentators hurling unfair criticism and baseless allegations of anti-Semitism. The reasoning proffered by many of these cultural elitists is that the movie's characterization of the Jewish leaders of Jesus' day and its depiction of the angry mob calling for His crucifixion could lead viewers to the conclusion that the Jews were exclusively responsible for killing Christ. The Passion of the Christ, they somberly intone, could therefore be a catalyst for renewed outbreaks of anti-Jewish sentiment around the world. Despite repeated assurances from Mr. Gibson that his film does not seek to malign Jews-or any other group-the attacks have come fast and furious. That The Passion of the Christ endeavors to remain true to the Gospel accounts is no excuse in the minds of those who wish Mel Gibson and his movie would just go away. Columnist James Carroll of The Boston Globe, a subsidiary of The New York Times, went so far as to suggest that "Even a faithful repetition of the Gospel stories of the death of Jesus can do damage exactly because those sacred texts themselves carry the virus of Jew hatred." Does Mr. Carroll really expect readers to believe that the Gospels-written by Jews about a Jewish Messiah and His Jewish disciples-are anti-Semitic? His assertion is so ridiculous and foolish as to be laughable. Among Mel Gibson's liberal critics, New York Times columnist Frank Rich has been one of the most vocal and vitriolic. In one particularly nasty diatribe, Rich characterized Gibson as a "Jew-baiter" and endeavored to malign the actor's elderly father, who has absolutely no connection to the movie whatsoever. Mr. Rich suggested that Gibson was "sowing religious conflict" by not inviting a sufficient number of Jews to attend preview screenings of the movie. (As you may know, Mr. Rich has a long and illustrious record of disdain for everyone and everything that fails to live up to his "enlightened" liberal ideals. In recent years, he has referred to yours truly as "The Godzilla of the Right" and compared me to Ku Klux Klan member David Duke, endeavored to link conservative Christians with the Oklahoma City bombing and Promise Keepers with the militia movement, and blamed the Family Research Council for the death of Wyoming college student Matthew Shepard) Rich is rabidly anti-Christian in almost every context. In my estimation, the liberal backlash against The Passion of the Christ is incredibly significant. Shaky charges of "anti- Semitism" are really just a smokescreen. I believe that the real problem the liberal establishment has with this movie is that it has the audacity to portray Christ as He really was-not only as an historical figure, but as the Savior of mankind. That is an offense to the postmodern sensibilities of our morally relativistic culture. The fact that Mel Gibson actually hopes to use his movie as a vehicle for evangelism only adds fuel to the fire. Columnist David Limbaugh put it best when he said, "How ironic that when a movie producer takes artistic license with historical events, he is lionized as artistic, creative and brilliant, but when another takes special care to be true to the real-life story, he is vilified. ...The moral is that if you want the popular culture to laud your work on Christ, make sure it either depicts Him as a homosexual or as an everyday sinner with no particular redeeming value (literally). In our post-Christian culture, criticism of the blasphemous The Last Temptation of Christ is celebrated, and The Passion [ of the Christ] is condemned." Stated another way, criticism of The Last Temptation of Christ brought angry protests of "censorship" from Hollywood and the media, whereas objections to The Passion of the Christ are considered entirely valid. This is yet another example of a powerful double standard. In one sense, I suppose we should not be surprised when the true story of Christ-whether depicted on film or declared from the pulpit-creates controversy. The Apostle Paul reminds us that "the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God" (I Corinthians 1: 18, NIV). There is no denying that there is a spiritual element to the uproar surrounding The Passion of the Christ, as well. Mel Gibson seemed to recognize this himself when, in a recent interview, he described the controversy over his movie as evidence of "big realms that are warring and battling."11 In another interview, he noted that one of his primary motivations in making the movie was precisely "to show that turmoil around [Jesus] politically and with religious leaders and the people, all because He is Who He is. ...This is not a Christian vs. Jewish thing. '[Jesus] came into the world, and it knew him not.' Looking at Christ's crucifixion, I look first at my own culpability in that." Indeed, many Jewish viewers who have seen the movie paint a picture that stands in stark contrast to the alarmist posturing of Frank Rich and his cronies. David Horowitz has noted that "there is no finger pointing at Jews in the film, and it is unsustainable to suggest that this will provoke Christians into violence against Jews."13 Alan Sereboff, a Jewish screenwriter who has previously worked with Gibson's company, said, "As a Jew I left the movie feeling a greater sense of friendship and closeness to my Christian brothers and sisters than I ever thought imaginable." And noted movie critic and radio host Michael Medved has called The Passion of the Christ "by far the most moving, substantive and artistically successful adaptation of biblical material ever attempted by Hollywood.

  8. I got this information from a tract "The Mormon Mystique" put out by the American Tract Society A Brief History Joseph 'Smith was born December 23, 1805 in the town of Sharon, Vermont. In his 15th year two glowing persons allegedly appeared to him, God the Father and Jesus Christ. Joseph received instructions to join no existing religious groups for they all were abominations in God's sight. Again, on the evening of September 21, 1823, an "angel" named Moroni supposedly appeared three times to Joseph. Each time Moroni told Joseph that he was sent from God to reveal ancient gold plates inscribed with the history of the inhbitants of the Americas. With the plates were also two stones used to translate the characters on the plates. The nest day Joseph found the plates buried in a hillside, but was told that they would be given to him only when he became worthy. It is interesting tonot that on March 20, 1826 Joseph Smith was found fuilty of fraud in Bainbridge, New Yourk. He had been selling his services by claiming to find buried treasure through the use of a "seer stone." When he failed to produce for several of his customers, he was convicted as an imposter. Joseph allegedly retrieved the golden plates on September 22, 1827. On April 7, 1829 he gained the help of Mr. Oliver Cowdery who copied as Joseph translated the plates using the "seer stones." Thus began the Book of Mormon. Three witnesses originally testified to seeing the actual gold plates--Oliver Cowdery, Martin harris, and David Whitmer. Later, each of the three either left the church, or discredited Joseph Smith, or disavowed ever seeing the plates. In March of 1830, the first edition of the Book of Mormon was published. In late 1829 or early 1830, Peter, James, and John allegedly appeared to Smith and Cowdery and restored to them the "Melchizedek priesthood." With this "authority" Joseph organized his church on April 6, 1830. A branch church known as "The United Order of Enoch" formed in Kirtland, Ohio. It was in Kirtland that three important events occurred; 1. Joseph supposedly received revelationfrom God that forbade the use of tobacco, alcoholic beverages, hot drinks, and excessive eating of meat; 2. The first temple was dedicated in 1836; 3. Joseph became acquainted with a new convert, Brigham Young. Internal schisms and external confilct eventually led to the slaughter of many Mormons and the jailing of Mormon leaders in Richmond, Missouri. On change of venue, Joseph and his fellow prisioners escaped from their guard, crossed the Mississippi River and founded the town of Nauvoo, Illinois. Here Smith and his followers flourished until internal dissention produced dissidents who published and expose of the church leadershipls polygamy. After destroying the dissident presses, Smith fled from local militias that had surrounded Nauvoo. The terrified residents pleaded with Joseph to return and avert an imminent attack. He did return and then rode to Carthage, Illinois to face charges of riotiing. The night before the preliminary hearing, militia stormed into the second floor cell where Joseph and his brother were held. Both were killed in a hail of bullets, but not before Joseph killed two men and wounded another with smuggled guns. Led by Brigham Young, a remnant of Nauvoo citizens migrated to Utah and built Salt Lake City. From that desert arose the empire now known as the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. WITNESSING TO MORMONS 1. If you are serious about witnessing to Mormons, don't START with a Mormon missionary. You most effective witness will be with acquaintances, not strangers. Befriend Mormans. 2. Realize that "godtalk" is decptive. Terms like, sin, salvation, God, Jesus Christ, eternal life, atonement, grace, etc. have completely different Mormon meanings. You may think that Mormons believe what you edo unless you ask for definitions. 3. You must commit yourself to the long haul. Effective witnessing requires building bridges between you and your Mormon friend, and that takes time. For a start, ask why he became a Mormon, what he thinks about the Bible, or how much he knows about Mormon doctrine. 4. Be bold in your contats with Mormons. Not offensive--bold. Mormons respect authority. 5. Use the Book of Mormon to discuss God. Mormons doubt the Bible's authority when it differs from their writings. However, the Book of Mormon presents a somewhat accurate view of God which cannot be reconciled to what the average Mormon is taught due to the constant accommodating changes that Mormon doctrine has suffered. Ask "Do you believe God has a body? Do you believe that He had a father and mother? Does your book teach that God and Christ are really two gods? Do you believe that 'As man is, God once was; as God is, man can become'?" The Book of Mormon can support NONE of these claims because the following passages from it do present a biblical view of God: 2 Nephi 11:7; 26:12; 31:21b; Mosiah 15:2-5; Alma 11:22-29; 3 Nephi 11:27b, 36; Mormon 9:9-11, 19b; Moroni 8:18. If you can show a Mormon that his own book does not support what his church teaches, you may plant seeds of honets doubt about its truthful ness. NOTE: 1. Be careful that your Mormon friends do not add their own interpetations to Mormon texts (for example, 2 Nephi 31:21b is sometimes interpeted by Mormons as "one God [in purpose]") 2. The Book of Mormon can usually be found in any used book store. 6. When your friend's doubt is fully kindled, share the Christ of the Bible. A True Comparison Mormonism
  9. This was written by my Pastor and I thought I would share. March 2004 Mel Gibson, The Passion, and the Charge of Anti-Semitism by Rich Nathan Christians around America have virtually been unanimous in their puzzlement concerning the charge of anti-Semitism leveled at Mel Gibson

    Romans 8:28

Well my Dear Dense Brother, the Lord has laid out His purpose in His Word....Love the Lord you God with all you Heart, Mind and Soul and everything else will fall under that. He will show you in your everyday walk what he wants you to do. Ex: 'You leave work one day and stop at the grocery store on your way home to pick up some milk. The girl in line in front of you had a cartfull and when it was rung up she was $20 short and couldn't get all of her food. You just so happened to have enough to pay for your milk plus the $20 she needed. You give it to her and in the process you have accomplished the purpose the Lord set in front of you at that moment in time.' We take each purpose as it is given to us and when He finds us faithful in the small things He will gradually add larger roles for us to play. Does that help? Your Well meaning Sister~Rose
  11. George, you will be in my prayers as will Israel. God is so awesome, that He guides our every move to protect us. PRAISE BE TO GOD!!!! Blessings~Rose

    Romans 8:28

John, I think you are wrong about that. Do you know God's purpose? He certainly has laid out in His word His purpose. Just as Dad Ernie has stated by scripture, using our gifts is one way but also to do good works (love, pray, serve, have an ear, have a word, edify, charity, talk about Jesus to all and show His light in all you do...etc). We all have these abilities and we are ALL CALLED to do them. I have not been called outside of my home to do something spectacular for the church, but my job is just as important. I homeschool my children, I take care of my family, I make sure my husband has clean clothes and his dinner on time. I have friends that I talk with and when they need and ear I am here, and when they need a word from God...I will find out where it is. If someone is in need of a meal cooked for them because of an illness, I am here. If my neighbor just moved in, I make a pie or cookies to give them to welcome them. When I am out and people see me I make sure I smile at them and say hello. If someone seems down maybe all they need to hear is that Jesus loves them, so tell them. All of these things are what we are CALLED to do. No matter how small it may seem it is big in the kingdom of God, because we are being obedient. Matthew 25:33-40 33 And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then the King will say to those on His right hand, "Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; 36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.' 37 "Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, "Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? 38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?' 40 And the King will answer and say to them, "Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.' Blessings~Rose AMEN Neb!!!!
  13. This is the card I sent, to be sent on the 28th. I pray it will be a blessing to her. Rose
  14. Don't think they are showing that one here GymRose. Wish I could see one of these interviews all the way through.
  15. Why would God give you the bible if all you have to do is say a prayer and then go on a feeling of what church you should go to. God gave us the correct church in 33AD on the day of Pentecost. All we need to do is do this in bible ways and use bible names. Tell me sir Nebuchadnezza10, do you not hear a word from the Lord as to what you should do when you pray? When you pray and ask the Lord for an answer does He not answer you? Is that why you believe that we are going on a feeling? I may not hear an audible word like was heard by Abraham but I know when I have heard from Him, He makes it quite clear. He also speaks to me through His word....so no, I am not going on a feeling. As for the church at Pentecost...would you please give me the address and directions so that I may attend this church. I would certainly love to be around those wonderful Apostles that faithfully spread the Gospel. As easy as it is to say lets "do this in bible ways and use bible names", it is not easy to be done. And if you read Revelation you will also find that the churches mentioned there are prophecied to do exactly what they are doing now...it just shows once again how God's word is truth. Not excusing what the churches are doing, just pointing out that it has to be this way in order for prophesy to be fulfilled just as Jesus' coming & dying was fortold so is the falling away of the churches. I can only be faithful to the Lord and do the best I can to follow His word. I am responsible for my own actions and not the actions of others. Yes we are to rebuke others and pray but there is only so much we can do. If they decide to continue on the path they have chosen we have no way to force them to be obediant to the Lord. They are responsible for their own salvation. God placed a heirarchy in the church that we are to go by so when we have done as the Lord has said and they continue to pursue the wrong path the only thing to do is either leave and have Him show you where He wants you or start a mutany (of sorts). Unfortunately many people aren't willing to step on toes as Jesus was by turning over the tables of the money changers. And if you do something like that you had better have the Lords blessing on it before you do. I totally agree. Aren't we telling the Lord that we didn't believe that He washed us clean if we go and get rebaptized? Baptisim is an outward confession of an inner transformation. Blessings~Rose
  16. I truely believe that if you pray and ask the Lord to lead you to the Church (building) that he wants you to attend, because this particular one is where He knows you will get the growth that you need in order to do His will, He will show you. It could very well be that He wants you to change things at the church He sends you to. It took us nearly 3 years to find a Church that would meet our needs as growing Christians. I certainly try to grow where I am planted but when you go to a church that doesn't help and encourage and challenge it's parisioners to grow then I don't think anyone should attend it. I certainly stay away from denominations because most have their own doctrine and the only doctrine I believe in is the Word of God, because that is the only way I know that I am getting the truth, so anything I come across I put it to the test of the Bible. I looked for non-denominational churches then finally the Lord guided us to a church that we know we can grow in...so far what we have been TAUGHT has been right on with the Word. We looked for a church that teaches expositorily and not just Topically as well as one that allows the Holy Spirit to teach through the Pastor. We originally came out of Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale and they teach book by book, chapter by chapter, verse by verse all in context. The pastor is very honest and open about everything, even when he has found out he was wrong in something he shared with the congregation, he asked forgiveness and made it right. We all keep each other in check and challenge each other in everything. So if a church is not willing to be challenged by their parishioners then that is not the place for me, because they become pias and that is not of God. I believe the Word of God to be true and that is why I think it is wrong for there to be any denominations because it only causes division as it says in 1 Corinthians 1:11-13: For it has been declared to me concerning you, my brethren, by those of Chloe's household, that there are contentions among you. Now I say this, that each of you says, "I am of Paul," or "I am of Apollos," or "I am of Cephas," or "I am of Christ." Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul? We all believe on Christ Jesus and Him Crucified so why do we allow doctrinal issues to cloud that one fundamental Truth? JMHO Blessings~Rose
  17. "We missed the boat!" I really like this...lol :oww:
  18. Wow, the lies the enemy weilds. ( Nostra Aete ) I think we need to have someone interview Mel Gibson on his beliefs so we can end this discussion on what he believes, personally I think it's irrelevent as long as this movie is right on with scripture then why debate what he believes? Blessings~Rose
  19. I believe you are twisting the facts -or lack of- in order to slander the Catholic Church. I in no way intend to Slander the Catholic Church, I just do not agree with any Church making up their own doctrine and making it more about man than about God. My doctrine is and always will be the Holy Word of the Living God. Mel Gibson said on the ABC Primetime Interview that he is a "Traditionalist Catholic". He didn't say which "Traditionalist" organization he belongs to so rumors cannot confirm or deny that he is a "Lefrebvre Traditionalist" aka "Sacerdotal Society of Saint Pius X". It says here that Lefrebvre "refuses to cooperate with what they consider the post-Vatican II hierarchy's "auto-destruction" of the Church". Now I am not educated in the Catholic Church so I do not understand what the "auto-destruction" of the Church means, all I know is that the fundamental doctrine of the Catholic Church is basically the same no matter which sect/denomination you encounter, they didn't completely rewrite their doctrine they had a dissagreement on one or more issues. It seems to me (IMHO) that they have a difference in oppinion of their own written doctrine not of the Bible, and that they have taken liberty with God's word and twisted it to meet there own agenda. Now that does not mean that a Catholic cannot know the truth and stay Catholic all the while having a good relationship with the Lord. So, like I said before, it has to do with the mans heart and that is only known by the Lord and possibly those closest to him. As for implying, in so many words, that I misused the word sect when refering to the Catholic church/Traditionalists. The Websters definition is: Sect 1. a body of persons adhering to a particular religious faith; denomination. 2. a group regarded as heretical or as deviating from a generally accepted religious tradition. 3. any group or faction united by a specific doctrine. I would have to say that the Catholic church/Traditionalists can be defined as a sect, just like ANY other church. I am sorry if we don't see eye to eye on this issue but as far as any one persons beliefs, unless we know the person, personally, then we have no right to say one way or another. His fruit will tell us more of a story than anything, "we will know them by their fruit". Blessings to you, Rose
  20. I have a 16 yr old daughter and this subject has come up quite often. When it comes to dating it is really important that, just because you have these strong hormonal feelings and may even feel as though you are very much in Like/Love with this person, you are not truely emotionally mature enough to handle the responsiblity of a relationship at the ripe young age of 12-18. I have found that once you spend time with any one person in a group setting as well as within parental supervision you do get to know a person better. I have to say that until you are at least 16 you don't even have a true understanding of yourself nor a maturity in the Lord to even consider a relationship with someone. Remember that God has already chosen a mate for you and that one is who you need to wait for. This person should love God more than you, and have a strong foundation in the Lord as should you. The only way a relationship/marriage is going to work is if God is head of you both. Focus on your relationship with God and He will tell you who he wants you to be with and that Love will blossom and grow because it was put together by God and not by you or anyone else. It is not necessary to test all the fish out there because God will let you know...and you will know.

I do have a bible program (Quick Verse 7) I am having a bit of trouble with it though. We do have a Strongs Concordance, didn't dawn on me to look for those specific words in there (probably should have a class on that one), don't have a bible dictionary (except on my Quick Verse, that I can't seem to use) Have found several sites on the net with resources but some just aren't user friendly. I understand using specific terms, its just I have not heard all of the terms out there and this is a learning tool for me as well as a fun place to come and fellowship and discuss our Lord (which I love to do) Thanks for the explanation, it's much appreciated. 2 Cor. 5:9-11

A "Bema" is "pulpit" in a synagogue. Also a Bema is where judgements were handed out from the "Bet Din" or "house of judgement." That also is where decisions were made between disputing parties. Christ will be seated on his throne and one's reward will be read from the Bema, upon which the book will opened. Ok, its just not mentioned in the Bible that way and unless you really study biblical/Hebrew history then that is something the average Joe isn't going to know. I am guessing this is why we are told to store up our treasures in heaven, because once we get there those treasures will be given to us through this Bema Seat Judgement. It only makes sense because how do we store up treasure in heaven but by doing the will of God and not get credit for it here but in heaven. Because if we get credit for it here then we have already gotten our reward. Matthew 6:1-4;19-21 "Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven. Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly. "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

    2 Cor. 5:9-11

Where did you get this term Bema Seat Judgement? I understand that we will go through judgement as Christians and will be given blessings/assignments according to how we lived...ie. if you did just the bear minimum and are flaming as you are going up then you may get a lower position in heaven...if you will. But if you are 90% obedient to the Lord and do all things for Christ in your life then you will have a greater position in heaven. But I don't know where you are getting this terminology "Bema Seat Judgement" from.
