  1. Thanx for the replies Yes I do add the "if you will it" part...however sometimes I feel just asking him over and over will show him how much I really care for that specific request. Its kinda confusing. The Bible says he heals all our problems and I wanna believe it is in his will yet I dont know at the same time
  2. Hi guys I know there are many things that might not be the best thing to ask the Lord for, such as a Corvette, or to become a millionare lol These things could be classified as wordly items. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. Col 3:2 But there have been times where I was worried if I was praying for something the Lord wouldnt approve, like a physical healing problem I had. I felt that it was too "wordly". Anyone have any takes on this?
  3. I agree It seems like when I finish something Satan tries to distract me away from spending time with the Lord by bringing up more "stuff-2-do". He gets me a lot there. There is no worse feeling than promising the Lord you will spend time with him more but end up doing something else like watching a movie or surfing the net. So dissappointing.
  4. Hi Which popular pastor(s) do you guys like? I guess I would have to say Dr Charles Stanley is one of my favorites. Safe to also add Mr Hagee as well. Any Benny Hinns in here?
  5. ^^ WOW I did not know that
  6. Im just wondering if anyone else watches this program? I really love this show. You guys can see his broadcast archives online as well www.sidroth.org
  7. Since We'll be in our new bodies, we will probably know The Bible in and out anyways But yeah we will be in HIS presence so it wont matter! Amen!
  8. Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 1 John 2:15 (New King James Version) I'm sure youve all seen this plenty of times. So what do you think this means? I see it having many meanings. I also see this passage confusing many as well. Any takers?
  9. Amen! Never let your guards down. The best and great way to do this is to meditate upon the word of God!
  10. Yeah I have a couple of Bibles but my most trusted and every-time used is my NKJV Prophecy Bible by John Hagee. I love it! I also got a NRSV Bible which is pretty great as well...I take it with me since its smaller, like when Im out doing laundry or something.
  11. Guys dont forget all the times you saw the old ladies in church wearing hats. Whether its big ones with fruit on top, I guess they feel they should still follow it.
  12. I had the same problems my friend and heres the steps I took to fight it: - Filtered out which sites I went to, so I wouldnt be tempted. ( The eyes are the source really ) - Filtered out the movies and magazines I read. - If tempted, I prayed on the spot and rebuked Satan in the name of Jesus and immediately left and did something active like shoot some hoops. This way, the Lord always delivered me. AND the beautiful thing is when u get used to this it isnt much of a problem anymore. I pray for you and good luck.
  13. Hi everyone, I didnt know where to put this post. I am looking for The Bible in audio which is more "lively" and possibly has background sound effects in it. I am sick of hearing the monotone voice that puts me to sleep. I have looked at some bookstores but they have that "boring" one I am talking about. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance.
  14. Amen! And people think that when someone says " I dont wanna curse myself" they are superstitious I know there are more verses in The Bible which back your selection up but I forgot them. Tongue is most definetly powerful.......Indeed!
  15. Thanx once again, your post was exactly what I was looking for. And here I thought burn offerings were still being made normally.
  16. Thank you shiloh for your reply. So to further explain about #1, I believe they killed an animal and then would burn it or something like that? And they did something with the blood? I definetly wont ask you for volumes of explanation but does that help?
  17. These are some questions I have had and hopefully someone can answer them for me. 1- How exactly did they sacrifice animals back then? 2- Do they still sacrifice today like that? 3- Did they have a special way of prayer, like a posture (ie. Islam)? Thank You Peace
  18. I didnt read all the comments so forgive me if Im repeating something but a women's hair back then was a sign of "sexiness"; it was an item of attraction. Of course its a lot worse today when women show other parts of the body but yeah women's hair would drive a man crazy back then. As because times have changed, I suppose (and I strongly say that) that we should basically say: women should dress conservativly for prayer and church. Peace
  19. Hey, Wow everyone pretty much summed it up here. But yeah when trials happen the Lord uses them to shape us into the person he wants us to be. They are also used to bring us back to him, if we fall away a little. And it teaches us patience, which is part of what I said about him shaping us. And Im sure there are a millions of other reasons we dont know about, cause the Lord is multi-purpose!! Just trust in him and acknowledge he will work everything out and you will be more than fine. Peace
